Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 323: Chapter 172: The Match Ends, Continuous Surprises_2

”Why, is there something you want to tell me?”

Seeing Shi Ping’s face full of hesitation, Xia Chuan’s heart stirred slightly, and he asked curiously.

Shi Ping hesitated for a moment, then spoke up with a hint of dissatisfaction:

”My lord, Hong Guang, Hong Tian, and the other three seem to have strong opinions about your Minister position, and also about the competition for the Pioneer Department Director position. From the looks of it, they feel the leader is biased!”

Upon hearing this, Xia Chuan’s expression slightly lifted.

”Did you hear this firsthand?”

”Yes, I happened to overhear it while visiting Yuwen Dao at night.”

”Did Yuwen Dao say anything?”

The displeased look on Shi Ping’s face eased somewhat, and he shook his head: ”Among them, Yuwen Dao is the only decent one, he stopped them from continuing.”

Hearing that Yuwen Dao had stopped Hong Guang and the others, Xia Chuan’s expression cleared slightly, and he said:

”That’s enough, after all, they are more than three thousand people coming in, it’s normal for them to be unclear about their status. As long as Yuwen Dao understands, with time, their mindset will naturally change.”

Giving a Hunting Department Director position was already the biggest concession they could make.

Although there are more than three thousand people at the Mirror Immortal Camp, they were on the losing side, and it’s already quite good to give them a normal status as a matter of course.

This is also because the Great Xia currently indeed lacks people, otherwise given the previous conflicts between Mirror Immortal and Great Xia, whether these people could receive normal treatment would be a question.

Bear in mind, Yuwen Dao and the others have blood of the Da Xia Jue Di Realm on their hands, and even participated in the siege against elder brother Xia Hong.

”In my opinion, they’re just ungrateful. The leader is generous enough not to hold their past mistakes against them, we haven’t forgotten either, and it’s only thanks to the understanding of Li Yun and Li Kaiping’s widows and descendants that there wasn’t a commotion. Otherwise, for the sake of these two families, they should be properly dealt with.”

”These words, don’t say them anymore in the future!”

Xia Chuan frowned, directly interrupting Shi Ping.

Given that so many conflicts had occurred previously between the two camps, there are bound to be issues with this sudden merger, apparently, true integration still needs some time.

Xia Chuan shifted the topic, looking at Shi Ping, he asked: ”By the way, do you have any interest in the position of Camp Supply Department Director?”

Upon hearing the question, Shi Ping showed a hint of struggle on his face.

”In the past, you handled almost all the affairs of the Camp Supply Station, and now your strength is sufficient. The leader asked me to choose a successor, and apart from you, I really can’t think of anyone else at the moment.”

Xia Chuan noticed the struggle on Shi Ping’s face and immediately knew what he was hesitating about, so he continued:

”Regarding the position of Pioneer Department Director, even ignoring Hong Guang, Hong Tian, and their group of five, you wouldn’t be able to compete with Luo Yuan, Yuan Cheng, Yue Feng, and the others once they express interest. My suggestion is that you honestly take over the position of Camp Supply Department Director, so that in the future, you can also have a place in the decision-making circle of the camp.”

Xia Chuan’s thought process was already quite seasoned.

He could clearly see that the reason Shi Ping and people like Luo Yuan pursued the Six Department positions was to enter the decision-making circle of the camp.

Shi Ping did an excellent job at the Camp Supply Station and indeed has talents in that area.

Now there is a shortcut to directly become a Six Department Director, he has no reason to refuse.

The struggle on Shi Ping’s face quickly disappeared, and having apparently made a decision in his heart, he bowed solemnly to Xia Chuan and said:

”My lord, I have thought it through, I still want to join the Pioneer Department. Although I’m tempted by the Camp Supply Department position, to be frank, whether to contribute to the camp or to broaden my horizons for myself, I am more yearning for the outside. I hope my lord can fulfill this wish.”

Seeing Shi Ping’s earnest demeanor, Xia Chuan did not insist any longer and nodded:

”Alright, then I will look for other candidates!”

The Camp Supply Department, though tasks are numerous and complex, wields significant power after all, managing the entire camp’s resources, and almost interfacing with everyone. Many people covet this position.

Shi Ping’s willingness to give it up voluntarily proved that his yearning for the outside was genuine, and Xia Chuan had nothing more to say but started to think of other candidates in his mind.

Yuan Cheng is definitely not suitable, too reckless to handle such meticulous work.

Lin Kai, Yue Feng, Qiu Peng, Lu Yang, Xu Ning, these five could all be considered.

After thinking for a moment, Xia Chuan decided to talk to the five of them separately, to assess them before making a decision.

......

First Year of the Great Xia, March 20th.

Yuwen Dao gathered with Hong Guang and the other four, sitting around a corner of the wooden house.

The six people had been discussing for a long time, and although their faces were tired, there was a smile on their faces, clearly satisfying with the result of their discussion.

”As for the rules and regulations produced by the Hunting Department, let’s start with these for now. Any changes can be addressed later. I will first report to the Lord Minister.”

The six stood up, ready to find Xia Chuan, and realized that many people were gathered around the stove in the wooden house, with a hubbub coming from within, making it very lively.

There was a hint of curiosity on the faces of the six, so they squeezed in directly.

After entering, they found Xia Chuan standing above, holding a wooden board facing the crowd, speaking loudly.

”The Wood List has been read, now comes the Coal Mine List:

First place, Yuan Cheng, 1780 points, rewarded with 2000 contribution value;

Second place, Yue Feng, 1650 points, rewarded with 1900 contribution value;

Third place, Hong Gang, 1590 points, rewarded with 1800 contribution value;

Fourth place......”

What is this?

The six looked on curiously, and Hong Guang directly grabbed a young man nearby.
