Mind-Controlled by the Villainess? I’ll Turn the Tables and Make Her Mine!

Ansu held his gun, walking expressionlessly toward Leon and looking down at him.

In the pool of blood, the ”Chosen One” looked pale, and a large amount of blood had already flowed from his severed limb, staining the gravel beneath him.

”Now,” Ansu’s voice was calm, ”tell me, who are you?”

Leon stared at him coldly, gritting his teeth as he spoke, ”What do you mean?”

Ansu raised his foot and stepped on the mangled wound.

Leon let out a shrill scream of agony, his body twitching violently as cold sweat soaked his forehead.

”Still playing dumb,” Ansu sneered as he asked, ”You’re pretending to be the Chosen One in front of everyone and even went as far as forming a hero party. What exactly is your goal?”

His gaze held a cold scrutiny. ”Who sent you? What is your purpose?”

”I... I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Leon gasped for air, roaring, ”I am the Chosen One!”

Ansu stepped down heavily once more.Leon shrieked, ”What are you doing! Morris? I truly misjudged you! I thought you would become our partner! But you—!”

He struggled to lift his head, his eyes bursting with deep-seated hatred.

”You killed my friends! I’ll make you pay in blood!”

Ansu immediately raised his muzzle, pointing it at Leon’s other leg.

With a thunderous gunshot—

Flesh and blood splattered, and blood gushed out.

However, before it could splash onto Ansu, it was blocked by a pale gold halo.

Freya’s Holy Light enveloped the two of them tightly.

Leon’s screams echoed across the entire slope.

Though he was in so much pain he nearly fainted, he still stared fixedly at Ansu, burning with unyielding fury.

”My time is limited.” Ansu pressed the muzzle against Leon’s forehead. ”Answer me, or the next shot goes here.”

Leon’s breathing grew rapid.

His lips trembled, but he still did not speak.

Seeing his silence, Ansu’s index finger slowly touched the trigger—

”I don’t know anything! Morris, what on earth is wrong with you? What do you want to know?”

Leon roared in despair.

Boom!

The gunshot rang out.

Leon’s headless corpse slumped into the pool of blood.

Ansu pondered the expression on his face in the final moment before his death.

He could clearly feel a flash of undeniable panic and confusion in the other’s eyes.

That expression didn’t seem like an act.

Did he truly believe he was the Chosen One?

Freya’s eyes widened slightly. She had also witnessed Leon’s performance just now.

”He...”

Freya looked at Ansu, her voice carrying a hint of hesitation. ”Lord Ansu, we... we didn’t actually kill the wrong person, did we?”

Ansu couldn’t answer because he was also becoming confused.

Putting aside whether Leon was lying, according to the last simulation, he had died because he tried to probe Leon.

Yet this time, he had killed him with ease.

If Leon were truly the mastermind of this bizarre domain, would he be this weak?

Ansu stood on the large rock where Leon had been standing, rubbing his chin in deep thought.

There were simply too many strange things...

Freya stayed quietly by his side, not daring to disturb his thoughts.

The cold mountain wind blew as time slowly passed.

Suddenly—

Freya looked up sharply as a blinding flash of Holy Light appeared out of thin air.

”Lord Ansu, watch out!”

Ansu turned around to see a beam of Holy Light falling from above, striking down toward his head like a sword of judgment.

Freya immediately cast Holy Shield.

The blade of light collided with the holy shield, producing a piercing roar.

Ansu looked closely.

A figure was leaping down from above, holding a simple longsword radiating Holy Light, landing steadily in front of them.

It was Leon.

The exact same face, the exact same sword.

Ansu instinctively looked back at the spot where Leon had just fallen.

The corpse was gone.

What the hell?

However, the large pool of blood remained, and the stained gravel and grass silently confirmed that what had happened wasn’t a hallucination.

”This guy... can resurrect?”

Ansu raised his gun in shock, pointing it at the ”Chosen One” who had suddenly returned.

Leon—or rather, the second Leon—stared warily at the muzzle of Ansu’s gun, seemingly still haunted by it.

”Morris, no matter what...” His voice was low and cold. ”I’ve never seen a mage who can use firearms this well.”

As soon as he finished speaking, his figure vanished from where he stood.

A second later, he appeared within five steps of Ansu, his speed incredibly fast.

”Morris, you unreasonable madman, you monster! I must kill you!”

The sword flashed, thrusting straight toward him.

Ansu pulled the trigger in that same instant.

Boom!

At the moment of the gunshot, Leon’s body twisted eerily in the air, the bullet grazing his shoulder and only taking a shred of cloth.

Ansu frowned. ”Then what kind of monster are you?”

His speed was more than twice that of the previous ”Leon,” even faster than the assassin he had killed.

Ansu tried the same trick again, casting 【Gravity Magic】.

The invisible force field expanded instantly.

Leon’s figure slowed slightly, but only for a moment.

A faint layer of Holy Light appeared around his body, unexpectedly neutralizing most of the magical suppression.

”The same trick won’t work on me anymore!”

The sword struck at Ansu again.

Freya gritted her teeth and held up her Holy Shield, but this time, she was barely holding on.

With a single strike from Leon, fine cracks appeared on the surface of the shield, as if it would shatter in the next second.

Ansu grew even more shocked.

This guy could not only resurrect, but his combat power had also skyrocketed, and his numerical stats had more than doubled...

Are you using cheats?

Under Leon’s storm-like assault, Ansu and Freya could only respond in haste.

As Ansu dodged, he carefully observed the other’s movements, finally catching a fleeting opening.

【Disintegration】

A dark red, almost black ray instantly hit Leon’s chest.

With a sizzling sound—

His entire body quickly disintegrated into a pile of lifeless, grayish-black powder, which scattered across the cold slope and vanished in the wind.

The slope fell silent once again.

Ansu and Freya exchanged a grave look.

Although they had dealt with Leon cleanly, they didn’t feel the slightest bit of relief.

This... wouldn’t end so easily.

As expected.

About ten minutes later, another beam of Holy Light descended from the sky.

The resurrected Leon possessed even greater power of Holy Light, and with his numerical stats doubled yet again, he charged at Ansu with the force of thunder.

Now, the two finally felt things were getting difficult.

Ansu frowned as he stared at the ”Chosen One,” who grew stronger with every death.

Leon slowly raised his sword. ”You cannot kill me.”

”I am the Chosen One, the one selected by the Holy Light. And you are destined to be the enemy I judge.”

...

During these twelve hours in the simulation—

Ansu killed Leon twenty-five times in a row.

They fought from the first light of dawn until nightfall, killing and resurrecting, resurrecting and killing...

Ansu and Freya seemed trapped in an endless cycle.

And every time Leon was killed, the Holy Light surrounding him became more intense the next time; this guy grew stronger the more he was killed.

Ansu and Freya used every trick they had.

Freya was on the verge of using God-Descent. Ansu had run out of alchemical bullets and had to use precious magic beads to replenish his mana time and time again, and he had used every spell in his arsenal.

By the time of the final battle, the Holy Light surrounding Leon was incredibly pure, and that divine pressure made the very air stagnate.

Freya was stunned.

Her voice was hoarse and weary, ”Lord Ansu...”

”His power of Holy Light is already much stronger than mine. It’s even gradually approaching... the power you unleashed that day in Maplewood Town.”

She gripped her holy seal, her eyes flickering with complex light. ”If this continues... it wouldn’t be wrong to say he really is the Chosen One.”

Because there seemed to be no limit to this bizarre fellow’s potential.

If this continued, there would eventually be a moment when his power rivaled God-Descent...

How could this be?

The simulation ended.

The night was as before, with the migrating main force still ahead, the torches forming a winding river of light.

Although the ten-plus hours of fierce fighting wouldn’t harm his physical body in reality, it brought a great sense of mental fatigue to Ansu.

It’s finally over...

He took a deep breath and looked toward the front of the line.

Leon was walking at the very front. Under the firelight, he occasionally turned back to give some instructions, his attitude gentle and sincere.

He was a completely different person from the monster that couldn’t be killed even after dying twenty times.

Freya noticed his odd behavior and gently squeezed his hand, asking a silent question.

Ansu shook his head, indicating he was fine.

He needed a different approach...

Brute force wouldn’t work. The mechanic of getting stronger with every death was simply unbeatable.
