World of Superpowers: Kill monsters to explode skills

96: Follow the cluesThe Principal returned to his Principals Office shortly after.

He held a few newly printed papers that still carried a faint scent of ink.

After handing the papers to Shi Yan, the Principal sat back down in his seat, quietly observing Shi Yan.

Shi Yan took the papers and quickly scanned them.

Without even looking at the memory, his brows furrowed.

The female student’s name was Han Anran; her family background was unknown, with only an enrollment date and nothing else.

”This female student transferred here suddenly.”

”So there’s only this much information.”

”And she went missing not long ago; it’s already been reported to the Security Department.”

The Principal seemed to have anticipated this and spoke before Shi Yan could.

It seemed this female student might have come for him.

Shi Yan had a guess in his heart.

”Thank you.”

Shi Yan nodded to the Principal, then turned and walked out of the Principals Office.

The clue ended here, and Shi Yan had no other options.

The Principal watched Shi Yan leave with a smile, a sigh of relief in his heart.

He deeply understood the strictness and special nature of the Security Department’s personnel; since Shi Yan came looking, it meant this incident might already be very serious.

Could that female student have some background?

Or was there something wrong with that female student?

All sorts of thoughts surged in his mind.

He didn’t want anything major to happen at this school.

If it escalated, affecting the school’s enrollment and reputation, it would be a huge blemish on him.

Therefore, there absolutely could be no problems, at least not during his tenure.

Shi Yan walked through the deserted corridor; it seemed to be class time, so the corridor was empty.

Learning sounds, like reading aloud, still emanated from the surrounding classrooms.

Shi Yan’s pace was slow, as if he was contemplating something.

He thought about the female student’s sudden disappearance.

Before, he didn’t know how peculiar this world was, possessing all sorts of strange abilities.

So he thought his handling methods were completely without issue.

Now, he no longer thought so; it seemed the Security Department might already know about this matter.

He had been curious why no one had come looking for him, because although he was confident in his handling methods, the various abilities in this world were clearly more powerful.

Perhaps there were abilities like clairvoyance or retrospection.

However, none of that mattered; the Security Department wouldn’t bother him because of someone who liked to eat people; they might even reward him.

He had a sudden whim earlier and left an Azure Eye on that young woman again.

This was also a risky move.

Hopefully, it can bring me some unexpected gains.

Shi Yan lowered his head and chuckled.

Time within a dungeon would be extremely compressed, meaning that even a very long time spent in the dungeon would only equate to a short period in reality.

Currently, only a little over ten days had passed since Shi Yan killed that female student.

Ten-odd days was already a long time for him before his transmigration, long enough to resolve or begin to address various cases.

However, Shi Yan overlooked one point: this world had various abilities and various abnormal humans, which led to countless criminal cases occurring daily.

Furthermore, this world was ten times larger than his previous one; correspondingly, the human population would also increase exponentially.

The current total human population in this world was approximately eighty billion, and the country he was in alone had fourteen billion.

With so many people gathered together, various incidents would be handled a bit slower.

Moreover, such disappearance cases usually took some time to be discovered; it was impossible for someone to know immediately upon a disappearance.

In a subordinate department of the Security Department in the distance.

In an ordinary office.

A young-faced man was constantly writing something on sheets of paper with his right hand, while simultaneously controlling a computer with his left hand, registering something on it.

The man was multitasking, but his speed was remarkably fast, completely unaffected.

His name was Yan Fu, a clerk in the Security Department, whose job was to continuously register various cases within a certain area, just as he was doing now.

Disappearances, murders, and all sorts of cases involving human lives were managed by him and then uploaded to the information database.

After being uploaded to the information database, investigators would go to the scene for an inspection.

If there were obvious special energy fluctuations, it would be handed over to Special Security Personnel.

If there were no obvious special energy fluctuations, it would be handed over to Ordinary Security Personnel.

Special Security Personnel consisted of players, Talented People, and some individuals with special abilities, while Ordinary Security Personnel were entirely ordinary people with no abilities.

The words ”Han Anran from Chengcai Middle School missing” flashed across the computer screen, having just been registered.

The moment the registration was complete, waves of special, invisible energy transmitted into the distance; clearly, this computer was no ordinary electronic device.

Shi Yan was completely unaware of what was happening in the Security Department in the distance at this moment, but even if he knew, he wouldn’t care.

If he were an ordinary person without any abilities, then no matter who that female student was or what she did, Shi Yan would be considered a criminal and would have to be arrested by the Security Department.

But if he was a player, and one who had already reached level 20, a mid-tier player.

Then he was eliminating harm for the people, removing dangerous elements hidden among the populace in advance, making him a great person who would be encouraged, praised, and awarded banners.

The street was densely populated, with people coming and going, and vehicles on the left side of the road were orderly.

On the right were shops with either luxurious or quaint designs.

Shi Yan walked through the crowd, leisurely heading towards home, observing that young woman while also observing everyone around him.

Perhaps he could run into a player or a Talented Person?

Azure Eye was also the first skill Shi Yan used, and it felt very unique.

Two screens, like large displays, appeared side-by-side in his mind; the picture quality was no different from reality, even clearer and brighter.

On the left was the young woman from before.

The young woman’s silky long hair was clearly visible, even the split ends at the tips of her hair could be clearly displayed.

At this moment, the screen was constantly swaying up and down; the owner of the screen was walking on a small path.

A strange feeling flashed in Shi Yan’s heart.

How was he any different from those peeping Toms now? This Azure Eye skill was probably a dream skill for some people with special fetishes.
