Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

”YOUR MAJESTY, can I borrow your daughter for a moment?”

”Where will you bring my daughter?”

”To meet a sleeping monster,” Commander Ruto Solfrid said as if it were no big deal. ”The monster that your daughter is supposed to tame.”

Glenn was in disbelief. ”Commander, are you crazy?”

That was how Glenn remembered his crazy conversation with Commander Ruto Solfrid.

Hence, even though it broke his heart to leave his wife’s side, he had no choice but to follow the commander.

He was kicked out by Royal Archmage Abigail Barlowe anyway.

”Your Majesty, with all due respect, you’re of no need in here.”

Hence, Glenn ended up following Commander Ruto Solfrid.

But he didn’t know where exactly they were becaue the commander used teleportation.

In just the blink of an eye, they were already in front of a small cave in the middle of a thick forest— surrounded by big and obviously old trees.

It’s pretty creepy in here...

Glenn was not only worried about his newborn, but also about the children that he had left in the estate.

I know that they are with people I can trust, even so...

”Commander Solfrid, can we finish whatever business you have here early?” Glenn asked politely. ”I don’t feel comfortable bringing my newborn baby here. Moreover, my other children are waiting for us.”

Of course, he was just as worried about his wife.

I want to be there once my queen wakes up.

”Don’t worry, Your Majesty. The creature that I want to meet is already here,” Commander Ruto Solfrid said calmly. ”Please stay where you are and don’t make unnecessary movements.”

Well, Glenn couldn’t move even if he wanted to.

He didn’t know what happened, but the air suddenly turned chilly.

And then he couldn’t move a muscle anymore.

Moreover...

HISSSSS.

The loud hiss coming from the cave was giving him the chills.

Is it a snake?

Glenn realized that he was right when he saw the snake crawling out of the cave...

... wait, is that really a snake?

”I CAN’T believe it was possible for a tree that reached the heavens to shrink that much,” Trevor said in disbelief. ”What kind of sorcery is that?”

Neoma ignored Trevor’s disbelief.

Plus, someone else reacted to the Sorcerer’s overreaction.

”I do not wish to speak with a Sorcerer.”

Pfft.

Neoma smiled because of what the Aether said.

But the clueless Trevor didn’t hear it.

I’m the only one who can hear the Aether, huh?

That was nice.

”Lady Aether, tell me,” Neoma said carefully, still hugging the tree. She could feel the warm energy and pure Mana entering her body. It was actually so relaxing that she was fighting hard not to fall asleep. Hence, she started a conversation. ”I know you wouldn’t have helped me for free. So, tell me. What do you wish to accomplish by giving me everything you have?”

The answer came shortly in a sad, bitter voice.

”Death— I wish nothing but my death, de Moonasterion Princess.”

”Yes, I understand,” Neoma said calmly. To be honest, she wasn’t surprised. After all, she knew the history of their forsaken family. ”If I were you, I would wish for the same thing.”

”I would call you calloused, but for some reason, your voice sounds like you’re crying.”

Aigoo.

Neoma wasn’t used to ’cringey’ conversations like that.

But, if she’d be honest, she was just being shy after hearing that her voice sounded like she were crying.

Whether she’d like to admit it or not, it was true.

But I want to be cool and not sentimental...

”I can tell that you’re a genuine de Moonasterion Princess like myself. But I can also tell that you’re from a different time.”

”You’re right— we have at least a century gap between us.”

”Tell me. Is the world still cruel to the Moonasterion Princesses born in our cursed family?”

”I’m afraid it isn’t the world that’s cruel to us. It’s just that most men in our family were chauvinistic pigs. Even my father was a scumbag in the past.”

Neoma could tell that the Aether was literally shaken by her words because the tree that she was hugging suddenly ’vibrated.’

It was as if the Aether was horrified by her vulgar words.

Even Trevor, who was clearly listening to the conversation, was visibly shocked.

And amused, if I say so myself.

”I was mistreated and neglected as a child,” Neoma continued with her story. ”But I worked hard to change my fate. It wasn’t easy, but I gained not only the love of my father but also his respect. So, with his help, I was able to change a lot of things in our empire.”

Of course, you should give credit when credit is due.

Neoma wouldn’t deny that her father was a scumbag in the past.

But Papa Boss had a great character development, and I want to tell the whole world about it.

She was that proud of her father.

Moreover, she wanted to plant a tiny hope in the Aether’s heart, even if it was already too late.

”Princesses are allowed to inherit the throne now.”

”Really?”

”Yes, and even the noble ladies in the empire are now allowed to inherit their father’s titles.”

”I can’t believe it...”

”You should because it’s true. In fact, my best friend has become the first duchess in the empire.”

”How about you, little princess?”

”Hmm? What about me?”

”Are you going to inherit the throne?”

”I could if I wanted to,” Neoma said confidently. ”But my twin brother is more competent than me as a ruler. So, I allowed him to be the emperor. Don’t worry, we get along really well.”

”Does the new emperor treat you well?”

”Yes, my twin brother is good to me.”

”Then you must be the twins from that prophecy.”

Huh?

’Prophecy?’

It had been a while since Neoma heard that word, and now she was interested.

”Please tell me more about it, Unnie.”
