Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

”I can finally get discharged?” A look of relief appeared on Xu Feng’s face when he heard it.

The truth was that being in his current state, he had wanted to crawl a hole to hide.

After all, with the casts on his arms, rendering both his hands to be useless, he required assistance to even use the toilet or eat.

Though it was usually Allison, who would be the caretaker, constantly feeding him and ensuring he wouldn’t starve.

The only saving grace was that he had a nurse to assist him regarding his bladder. Nevertheless, it was still somewhat embarrassing to have the nurse assist him with toilet use.

”Have the doctors remove the casts then.” Xu Feng continued, wanting nothing more than to get rid of these casts that caused him to feel inferior in multiple ways.

He had wanted them removed since day one, but Allison pressed on and remained adamant about having them on to ensure his swift recovery.

Such a hospital life was truly the worst.

As for those who thought it was a dream come true where a beautiful nurse would tend to you 24/7, then they might as well drink bleach.

”Alright, there’s no need to rush. Doctors said you can be discharged but that is until they give your body another check.” Allison smiled, feigning ignorance of Xu Feng’s plight. Explore new worlds at My Virtual Library Empire

’So many beautiful nurses were around here but his eyes didn’t even wander around them.’ She thought to herself, finding it quite hilarious about Xu Feng’s behavior.

She was certain that he loved the opposite gender, but he was simply too polite and restrained in his emotion.

Occasionally, when she was headed to Xu Feng’s room. She would walk past some rooms, with male patients crying aloud and pleading to stay and be tended to, but here was Xu Feng, constantly asking to be discharged.

Not to mention, he even had her tending to his care for most of the time.

Just who wouldn’t want to enjoy her company and care?

As long as she voiced it out, the end of the lines couldn’t even be seen because there were just that many who would die for her to care and tend to them.

Even if it was a minute of care, that was enough to make them die in joy!

”No need for a body check. I know my body well.” Xu Feng rejected the suggestion. In the past days, he had recovered bits of his Energy Force, and could check his condition by himself. Hence, he didn’t need to rely on the doctors to do the scanning.

”You just want to be discharged immediately, right?” Allison sighed and wondered why he was always rushing.

”Yup, that is indeed my goal.” Nodding, Xu Feng didn’t deny his intention. ”I still need to guide you for the quest and then my own stuff as well.”

As Xu Feng brought up the topic regarding the Vanquishing Quest, Allison suddenly remembered that she forgot to inform him about the matter.

”Ah, speaking of the quest, NPC Clara and Lightning Blade discovered clues that the insurgent might have left for the fog within Verdant Valley. They tried to go ahead to investigate but failed to find any more clues.”

”The fog within Verdant Valley?”

”Mhmm, they returned to me and guided me to Verdant Valley. But don’t worry, I told them you had something else to do so they didn’t suspect anything.” Allison swiftly explained and proceeded to say how she leveled up a lot.

She was now level 20, and Xu Feng must say he was impressed by her progress. Aside from taking care of him, she also managed to find time to level up in the Divine World.

”Have you properly rested these days?” Xu Feng asked in concern.

He then narrowed his eyes and inspected closely on Allison’s eyes closely. ”Have you been covering the circle around your eyes with some powder or makeup foundation?”

Although very subtle, he was able to discern some abnormality when inspected really closely.

Having been called out on the spot, Allison’s instinct was to lie but paused herself in time.

She sighed softly and decided to come clean. From her purse, she retrieved some make-up removal and revealed the dark circles around her eyes.

”It was getting difficult to sleep because of the intruders’ incident. So I spent most of my time occupying myself with things to do.” She smiled bitterly.

”No wonder you were always sleeping on the chair next to me…” Xu Feng murmured, finally recalling how Allison would fall asleep after tending to him for a few hours.

He thought she was just tired, but apparently, she was experiencing insomnia due to the incident.

”Was it because you didn’t feel safe so your body tensed up constantly?” He inquired.

A look of astonishment occurred on her face as she gasped.

”You should try some Ginseng Tea and listen to classical music.” Xu Feng suggested, while finally understanding why she had insomnia in his past timeline.

It appeared that she had experienced this incident back then as well, but probably in a more severe case. After all, she was still having trouble falling asleep back then as opposed to now, when she could get at least 3-5 hours of sleep.

Thinking of that, Xu Feng proceeded to investigate further and pry a bit more— something he rarely did.

”Have you been able to sleep at least a few more hours when you return to your home?”

Shaking her head, Allison leaned on the chair and replied, ”No, I couldn’t sleep no matter how hard I try. Whenever my eyes closed, I kept recalling how the intruders nearly got me. I even had the lights turned on, but nothing works.”

As much as she tried to act nonchalant on the surface, the truth was that the incident had really left a scar on her mentally. Her hands started trembling and Xu Feng noticed that she needed assistance more than him.

Utilizing a bit of his Energy Force, Xu Feng broke off the cast on his right arm and lightly patted her trembling hands.
