Chapter 1212: Chapter 924: Unwelcome Guests Arrive

As the key was tossed over, Huai Shi instinctively reached out to catch it, but hearing Luo Su’s words made his hand tremble, and he nearly dropped the key on the ground.

”What on earth?”

He doubted his ears were functioning correctly.

”Just a yacht, nothing major. Didn’t you invite the teacher for a drink? Consider it a return gift from the teacher to the student,” Luo Su shrugged, saying no more as he strode towards the ship.

Only Huai Shi remained standing on the shore, amazed, gripping the key and lifting it up for a closer look.

Heaven help him, Huai Shi’s first reaction was to quickly check the accounts to see if it was bought with his own money... After confirming multiple times that it was fully paid, he finally felt a dreamlike sensation.

A yacht?

What would he need this thing for?

If he resold this thing, could he make a lot of money as a middleman?

His expression twitched slightly, and ultimately he sighed, putting the key away.

This was all hard-earned money after all.

”Alright then, after being a tool for so long, getting a yacht isn’t bad.”

The yokel Huai Shi shoved his hands in his pockets and swaggered onto his own boat.

Then, he suddenly remembered... he seemingly didn’t know how to drive a boat?

.

.

Ten minutes later, Huai Shi was racing with the neighboring yacht on the sea.

This was indeed due to several hours of simulation training in the Book of Fate, but in reality, he was only holding the yacht’s steering wheel for show.

The real work was done by the little rat fish ball dozing off with rice grains in its arms on the control platform.

As a former incarnation of Helios, the spirit of the Sun Chariot, driving a yacht was akin to Schumacher riding a bicycle; it was effortlessly easy.

Especially with the nearby total control intelligence of Osiris, Beelzebub in scarab form.

These two top drivers in the world taking turns on one yacht was truly the yacht’s good fortune.

After driving for a while, Huai Shi grew bored, input the coordinates, and turned back into the cabin. He only saw Luo Su, polar bear style, lounging on the sofa, watching a comedy show on satellite TV, clearly enjoying it.

As an onlooker, Huai Shi couldn’t help but shed a tear of sympathy for the vice principal.

”Don’t you have work to do every day?”

”Work? What is work?”

Luo Su looked back bewilderedly, stuffing two pieces of honey cake into his mouth: ”I’m a bear! Bears don’t work!”

Being this old and still selling cuteness maliciously is really enough...

Huai Shi rolled his eyes so hard they nearly turned over the heavens, then shamelessly sprawled on the sofa next to him, connecting to the WIFI to play games.

Luo Su glanced sideways at him: ”You’re a dignified chairman of a large corporation, don’t you have work?”

”Work?” Huai Shi asked blankly in return, ”I’m just a passing Disastrous Musician, practice the guitar for two hours a day, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

The teacher and student glanced at each other, unexpectedly sharing a moment of mutual understanding.

Both wore the same annoying look.

Then, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the happy time of slacking off began.

.

.

On the vast sea, with no restaurants available, both lunch and dinner were prepared by Huai Shi using ingredients from the fridge. Even though he added a bit too much ’seasoning’ in Luo Su’s portion, Luo Su still seemed quite satisfied eating it!

Only after tossing the plates into the dishwasher did Huai Shi, staring at the vast sea outside under the night, still couldn’t quite understand: ”Where are we going? Under the sea? Utopia’s secret base?”

”Secret base?”

Luo Su glanced over at him: ”When Utopia was still around, everything was always done openly, we had 16 offices in Current Circumstances, Border, and Hell, each place was a private territory. From five thousand meters above to space, and thirty thousand miles downward to the Earth’s core, it was all ours, why would we need a secret base?

This is all the mischief of the Existence Institute and the Jurisdiction Bureau.”

”But there’s nothing on the sea?” Huai Shi looked at the chart coordinates on his phone, it was completely empty.

”A dead homebody wouldn’t stick a ’welcome’ tag on their door, that guy would rather people don’t bother him. That’s what they call a shut-in,” Luo Su sneered, flicking ashes from his cigar, unconcerned about flavor: ”That guy used to never dare look people in the eyes when talking, always talking to himself, never able to communicate, and didn’t want to talk to others... these years it seems he got his wish, as even the Jurisdiction Bureau’s map has no record of his territory. Occupying an island, who knows how happy he is alone.”

”Utopia has such people?” Huai Shi was dumbfounded, feeling once more that the world was full of wonders, how the surviving veterans of Utopia each had their own peculiarities.

A drama queen old lady, a shut-in nerd...

Looking at them this way, he could only say Luo Su indeed stood out, a pillar among them, compared with them, he was exceptionally reliable.

”If possible, I don’t want to deal with that guy either.”

Luo Su sighed with a headache: ”Even someone like Yang Zi is still communicable to some degree, but with that guy, nothing works, it’s just like the wind passing by, no matter how many times you try, he won’t budge an inch.

Because of this, many were on bad terms with him back then, things were very unpleasant for a while, and later, he just resigned and left. Luckily, by a fluke, he avoided a disaster... but because of this, he became even more of a recluse, much to our frustration.”

He shook his head helplessly, thought for a long time and said: ”It’s like, it’s like a shut-in who finally steps out to work you know? Doesn’t get along with colleagues, has no progress at work, then after resigning, even the few friends he had died one after another, instantly becoming a loner again.

If Kilian was still around it would be great, but that guy also succumbed to his severe injuries... The very few people in the world who could talk to him are all gone.

Huai Shi was silent for a long while, softly lamenting: ”Sounds truly lonely.”

”Lonely? Hah, that guy doesn’t care, give him a notebook and a pen, and he could spend a whole year playing prime number games.” Luo Su stood up, ”Be prepared to be thrown out, Huai Shi, us two unwelcomed guests are coming over.”

At this moment, above the Pacific Ocean, in the vast sea, a dense fog suddenly rose.

In the heavy white mist, a distant outline slowly emerged. It resembled an island, but possessed an altitude and profile unmatched by any island, it was as if... as if...

A sphere?

Huai Shi looked up, dumbfounded.

A gigantic stone ball, unexpectedly appeared out of thin air above the vast emptiness of the Pacific Ocean.

It seemed to encompass the entire island and surrounding domain, seamlessly, without the slightest gap, allowing the sea waves to surge.

Physically isolated from everything outside!

Being able to be a recluse to this extent, made Huai Shi break into a cold sweat.

This is way too... excessively introverted, isn’t it?

As the yacht approached, Huai Shi increasingly felt the enormity of the stone ball.

It was vast enough to obscure the sky and sun, likely as large as an entire city.

He reached out, knocked on the pitch-black stone in front of him, and discovered that these stones seemed like natural obsidian, flawless, with many transformations hidden inside that Huai Shi couldn’t comprehend.

”Don’t use brute force, otherwise it will be returned in double... You need to understand that guy’s level of introversion.”

Luo Su looked up, scrutinizing the black rock before them, ”After all, it’s the Creator.”

In an instant, Huai Shi was shocked.

He quietly put away the sword he had taken out and pretended as if nothing had happened.

Behaving obediently.

Completely extinguished the idea of taking a chance.

This is the Creator, after all! A big shot in God mode within his domain... trying could really mean death.

”What next?” Huai Shi asked in a low voice, ”We should at least let him know we’re here, right?”

”He already knows, even before we entered this fog.”

Luo Su shrugged, ”But he’s just pretending not to know, too lazy to bother with us, and doesn’t want us appearing in front of him. If we got rough, he’d definitely seize the opportunity to drive us away completely. That’s how he is; he doesn’t even actively kick people out.”

Completely indifferent if his words were overheard by the Creator.

Luo Su didn’t disguise his evaluation.

Yet, the stone ball remained unresponsive, silent, oblivious, and they were as if nonexistent.

Indifferent to the point where one didn’t know how to start.

”What do we do?” Huai Shi was bewildered.

”Isn’t this simple?”

Luo Su said matter-of-factly, ”To melt the icy heart of a partner, naturally, you use the warmth of friendship and love to forge bonds and connections, Huai Shi, you should read more shounen manga, you can learn many useful things.”

Huai Shi almost rolled his eyes 360 degrees.

I don’t believe a word of it!

”Why don’t you try to win him over yourself!” Huai Shi sneered.

”What’s the rush?” Luo Su flicked his cigar ash calmly, ”Do you know why I installed sixteen extra speakers on your boat?”

Saying that, he took out a remote control from his pocket...

Pressed it!

Instantly, the deck flipped, and sixteen giant speakers appeared out of nowhere.

Huai Shi instinctively felt uneasy, raising his hands to cover his ears before the Extreme Interpretation took effect.

In the next second, airwaves swept through.

The entire sea area was stirred up in continuous turbulence and ripples by the terrifying noise from the speakers.

At this moment, the whole yacht seemed to have turned into a giant speaker, facing the stone ball ahead, starting to broadcast in an enthusiastic tone:

”——Udanta Raman Sharma of Group Six, Phase Three of Utopia!!! Your best friend Luo Su has come to visit you with his student Huai Shi!!! Open the door!!! Open the door!!! I know you’re home!!!!”

Additionally, mixed with irregular noises of electric drills, brain-melting air conditioner sounds, and rustic country dance melodies.

Practically like a sound bomb of terrifying volume descended.

In the end, it turned into Luo Su’s karaoke of energetic songs and dances, from old-school jazz to pop songs, rock, heavy metal, and even folk tunes.

The high-pitched voice echoed between the sea and sky, the insane volume that could shake a person’s brain out, constantly reverberating and spreading, torturing Huai Shi’s ears.

But the stone ball stubbornly remained unresponsive.

Huai Shi desperately shouted at Luo Su, yet Luo Su calmly smoked his cigar, motioning him to be patient.

Huai Shi then saw... this Old Turtle had even prepared earplugs in advance!

The outcome? He didn’t have any himself!

So angry that he was about to explode...

Thus, the noisy loudspeaker continued to call out to the indifferent old friend with deafening sounds, five minutes passed, ten minutes passed.

Five hours passed, ten hours passed.

In the end, Huai Shi felt like he was deaf.

Just like that, twenty-four hours passed... a full twenty-four hours!

Until the stone ball shook chaotically, finally revealing a crack.

An angry voice roared.

”Enough! Shut up!!!”

But on the deck, Huai Shi, already deafened, couldn’t hear a thing, still playing cards with earplug-wearing Luo Su.

Then... in mid-air, a wisp of pure white vapor condensed out of nowhere, like willow fluff, drifting towards the vast sea below.

At that moment, Huai Shi instinctively looked up.

Staring at the nearly invisible frost-colored wisp, only feeling the eruption of Death Perception!
