The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1386: Chapter 1386: Meal Vouchers as Wages

The number of guests arriving for dinner wasn’t as many as during lunch, but there were still about twenty to thirty people, including the uncle who brought guests with him.

Little Taotie waved to the uncle and whispered with him for a while.

The uncle patted his chest, promising something.

After closing the store in the evening, the uncle returned with more people, bringing quite a bit of tools with them.

The employees had already started heading home one by one, with only the chubby brother and the Head Chef yet to leave.

The next morning, when the employees came to work, they discovered the changes in the store.

The originally empty warehouse had taken on a new look; it had been transformed into two rooms. One was the original warehouse, with the original items set up, while the other was furnished with several portable beds, a coffee table, and small plastic drawers.

Little Taotie introduced to the employees, ”This is a rest area. After a busy lunchtime, you can come here to nap, or enjoy some tea and snacks.”

Chef Xu excitedly asked, ”Can we play games in here?”

Little Taotie nodded, ”You can, but you have to wear headphones so as not to disturb colleagues taking naps!”

The cashier auntie, most concerned about money, asked softly, ”Did it cost a lot?”

Little Taotie waved his little hand, ”No money spent, we gave the uncle and his workers meal vouchers.”

”How much did you give...” The cashier clutched her chest, looking pained.

”A thousand each.”

”How many people...”

”Seven people.”

”Seven thousand gone!” The cashier wrote and sketched in the account book, feeling even more heartache.

The chubby brother asked, ”What if the vouchers aren’t used up before the store closes?”

Little Taotie’s soft, milky voice chimed in, ”I told them it’s best to use them up within the next four days.”

Cashier: ”... Counting on your achievements?”

Little Taotie nodded, his eyes shining with a hint of slyness, ”So don’t worry, auntie, it’s actually accounted for by the program group.”

According to program rules, the ingredients consumed and the revenue generated during filming are ultimately paid for by the program group.

The cashier gave Little Taotie a thumbs-up.

Little Taotie covered his mouth, secretly amused, with a little glance at the following brother.

The following brother laughed, ”Don’t worry, it wasn’t captured.”

However, unbeknownst to him, the store’s camera captured everything, eventually landing in the director’s hands, who played it out and had an editor add a comic image captioned: ”Program director cried in the toilet” alongside a funny manga of someone crying in the toilet.

Because of the meal vouchers Little Taotie gave out, the lunch revenue of the next day had to subtract the voucher accounts, which couldn’t be tallied in achievements, thus Little Taotie’s first-place throne was not secured.

Seeing Third Brother taking the throne, Little Taotie wasn’t upset since they’re family anyway.

Gu Yixing’s fans were closely monitoring his schedule, and upon discovering he appeared at a certain restaurant, they flocked there the next day, causing the restaurant’s revenue to surge due to the fans’ support.

This wasn’t due to Gu Yixing secretly contacting fans, but rather fans discovering his location, so this serendipitous circumstance couldn’t be considered cheating, and all performances were duly recorded, with the first-place throne ending up with Gu Yixing.

After the busy lunch, employees no longer rested in the main hall, except the cashier auntie who steadily sat at the entrance; the others went to the newly constructed rest area to take a break.

The chubby brother and Chef Xu were linked up, playing games.

Little Taotie went to the back kitchen, seeing the Head Chef seriously reading a cooking magazine, curiously leaned in to peek at it with him.

The elderly and the young heatedly discussed it, with Little Taotie pointing at a dish, ”This looks delicious; can you make this, Head Chef?”

Head Chef: ”It looks tasty, but in reality, it’s a dish that merely looks good but lacks flavor.”
