While Lan Qiyue was in a dazed state, Lu Ye was suddenly heard asking, “Are you willing to cultivate your power?”

She came to her senses and fell to her knees again before pressing her head against the ground. “I’m willing to cultivate my power by your side, Sir!”

Lu Ye nodded, finally confirming that the woman was different from most Humans in Blood Refinement Boundary. There were two reasons why he decided to teach the woman how to cultivate her power.

First, there were many expecting women in Bright Moon Cave Mansion. These women would certainly give birth to Blood Race babies sooner or later, so it wasn’t like a man like him could always help them deliver babies. Therefore, he needed someone who could help him with that.

Naturally, he couldn’t pin his hopes on Dao Thirteen. The slow-witted guy was probably worse than Lu Ye when it came to such matters.

There was no doubt Lan Qiyue was the best person to do that. She had her opinions and was rebellious against the Blood Race. Also, she had the experience of giving birth to a child. Hence, she could handle such matters well.

However, it was dangerous for a Human Mother to give birth to a Blood Race baby. Lan Qiyue was still too weak as a Fourth-Order Spirit Creek Realm Master. When she became stronger, she could better ensure the safety of other women.

As for the other reason, he had discovered something when trying to help Lan Qiyue deliver a baby with his Spiritual Power.

All the Spiritual Points in the woman before his eyes had been opened up with no barriers between them. When he infused his Spiritual Power into the woman’s body, he faced no obstacles at all. The Spiritual Power could move around freely in her body, which was inconceivable.

Take Lu Ye as an example. When he was a Spirit Creek Realm Master back then, he had to open up the Spiritual Points one by one, and he needed to break through the barriers. Starting from nothing, he eventually managed to open up 360 Spiritual Points, which allowed him to run the Macrocosmic Orbit.

That was what Human cultivators had to go through. It was also the reason why many cultivators were stuck in Spirit Creek Realm for all their lives. As cultivators progressed, it became increasingly difficult to open up the Spiritual Points. Those who couldn’t open up at least 240 Spiritual Points would stay in the Spirit Creek Realm. Only those who had opened up more than 240 Spiritual Points had a chance to make it to the Cloud River Realm.

Even if they managed to open up 240 Spiritual Points, they might not be able to uncover all 360 Spiritual Points, which was required to run the Macrocosmic Orbit.

In Jiu Zhou, cultivators who could achieve that had the chance of eventually ascending to the Divine Ocean Realm.

However, the Spiritual Points in Lan Qiyue’s body had been opened up without her doing anything. That was the reason Lu Ye was shocked.

He had heard that someone with all their Spiritual Points naturally opened up was said to have an Innate Dao Body.

Such a person wouldn’t face any bottleneck in the Spirit Creek Realm as long as they had sufficient cultivation resources. In other words, Lan Qiyue could easily transcend the Spirit Creek Realm and ascend to the Cloud River Realm.

As for how bright her future would be after she made it to the Cloud River Realm, it depended on her aptitude. That said, someone with an Innate Dao Body usually had the best aptitude. It was foreseeable that Lan Qiyue would achieve great things in the future.

If she was just an average woman, Lu Ye wouldn’t want to waste his energy and time. Since he chanced upon a woman with an Innate Dao Body, it would be a shame if he never taught her anything. Therefore, he decided to teach the woman how to cultivate her power.

“We’re around the same age, and you’re probably younger than me by two to three years. You don’t have to call me Sir. Just call me Senior Brother.”

“Senior Brother?” Lan Qiyue was puzzled. There were no Sects in Blood Refinement Boundary, so the idea of Seniors and Juniors was foreign to her.

“My name is Lu Ye.”

“Senior Brother Lu Ye,” Lan Qiyue replied quickly.

Lu Ye nodded. “Stretch out your hand.”

Upon hearing that, Lan Qiyue extended one hand. Lu Ye placed his fingers on the woman’s wrist and activated his Spiritual Power. He ran his Spiritual Power in the woman’s body according to the training course of the Great Sun Veluriyam Technique.

Lan Qiyue closed her eyes and felt it in silence, trying to memorise the way the Spiritual Power flowed in her body.

In Blood Refinement Boundary, even though Humans could cultivate their powers and the Blood Race members would even teach them some cultivation techniques, there was always something wrong with those techniques. That was because the Blood Race wouldn’t allow cultivators who were too powerful to appear.

In places where Humans gathered together, Spirit Creek Realm Masters were most commonly seen. Only the Humans that the Blood Race members regarded highly and took on as Blood Slaves would be granted the right to ascend to higher Realms.

A moment later, Lu Ye retracted his hand. “Have you memorised everything?”

Lan Qiyue nodded meditatively. “Yes.”

“The dugout beside mine is empty, so you can just stay there. If there’s anything you don’t understand about cultivating your power, you can come up to me.” As Lu Ye spoke, he fished out a Storage Bag and poured out some Spirit Pills, Spirit Stones, and clean clothes for her. He also told her not to consume too many Spirit Pills to prevent the accumulation of Pill Poison.

“Thanks, Senior Brother Lu Ye.” Lan Qiyue took the items and expressed her gratitude.

“Also, you’ll be responsible for taking care of those women. If they’re about to give birth, you’ll help them out.”

Lan Qiyue pressed her lips together and nodded. She would do it even if Lu Ye said nothing. After some hesitation, she said, “Senior Brother Lu Ye, what about the blood foetuses they give birth to?”

“Kill them all!” Lu Ye ordered icily.

Lan Qiyue agreed to it with a gaze full of determination. Then, she settled down in the dugout beside that of Lu Ye.

One day later, a victorious Zhang Julai returned and immediately reported about the battle to Lu Ye.

The collective power of Hundred Leap Cave Mansion was slightly stronger than that of Bright Moon Cave Mansion because they had more Blood Race members on their side. That was why Hundred Leap Cave Mansion always took the initiative to attack the other one.

Since Dao Thirteen had tagged along this time, those from Hundred Leap Cave Mansion were powerless to resist.

During the intense battle, both parties had lost half of their members. However, the situation became in Bright Moon Cave Mansion’s favour when Dao Thirteen made a move.

When the Blood Race members of Hundred Leap Cave Mansion saw how easily Dao Thirteen could kill their Cave Master, they stopped resisting and threw in the towel.

Although the fights between Blood Race members were intense, there was an unspoken rule that either party could surrender. It was the norm in this world, so there was nothing embarrassing about it.

Therefore, Zhang Julai had set off with more than ten Blood Race members, but he returned with roughly the same number of people. Although there was little change in the number, their collective power had increased significantly.

As expected, the Spirit Creek Realm Masters who had tagged along were all killed on the battlefield.

“Sir, in accordance with your order, we’ve brought back the pregnant women from Hundred Leap Cave Mansion. The rest were sent to a safe place. Also, we’ve acquired 11 Blood Crystals in total. Five pieces have been distributed to the others, and here are the other six Blood Crystals.”

As Zhang Julai spoke, he respectfully presented to Lu Ye six Blood Crystals of different qualities.

It was Lu Ye’s idea to distribute half of the Blood Crystals they acquired.

He understood that he had to give those Blood Race members sufficient resources if he wanted them to work hard. Although he eagerly needed Blood Crystals to restore his cultivation, he wouldn’t greedily take everything.

Moreover, the Blood Race members of Bright Moon Cave Mansion were already displeased that Zhang Julai had given the order which prohibited them from sucking the blood right out of Humans. If they weren’t even given the booty, it would be difficult for Zhang Julai to rule the place.

Distributing half of the Blood Crystals was the best solution. That way, he could ensure that the Blood Race members had some resources, but it wouldn’t fully satisfy their needs.

Lu Ye lifted his hand and took five Blood Crystals. Zhang Julai was elated. “Thanks for the reward, Sir!”

He initially thought Lu Ye would take everything. Much to his surprise, he was given one Blood Crystal, which was why he was grateful.

“Make it to the Real Lake Realm sooner. You’re too weak,” Lu Ye said impassively.

“Yes. I won’t disappoint you, Sir,” Zhang Julai replied while feeling anxious.

He could feel that Lu Ye was ambitious. He was still useful to him as a Cloud River Realm Master, but as time passed, he would be less important. If he became of no help one day, he would be valueless and end up in a miserable state. He had never felt a stronger desire to increase his power.

“Tell the newcomers our rules. If they dare to break the rules, you know what to do.”

“Yes.”

“Run along.” Lu Ye waved his hand, after which Zhang Julai left the place.

Looking at the five Blood Crystals in his hand, Lu Ye picked up the smaller one and passed it to Dao Thirteen.

It wasn’t that he was stingy. It was just that a Blood Crystal was the essence of a Blood Race member’s cultivation. It was similar to a Mutant Core. Since Dao Thirteen didn’t have the Tree of Glyphs, he couldn’t burn away the impurities. Consuming a larger Blood Crystal would be harmful to him.

If not for the fact that he had the body of a Divine Ocean Realm Master, Lu Ye wouldn’t have dared to give it to him.

However, if he wanted to help Dao Thirteen restore his cultivation quickly, he had to make use of Blood Crystals. He could only be cautious with the frequency.

Dao Thirteen took the item and started crunching it in his mouth. Lu Ye also picked up a Blood Crystal and tossed it into his mouth. He was a Cloud River Realm Master now. With the four Blood Crystals in his hand, he might make it to the Real Lake Realm.

The Blood Race members of Bright Moon Cave Mansion rested for two days before setting off again with Zhang Julai leading the way.

Hundred Leap Cave Mansion wasn’t the only nearby Cave Mansion. Basically, in Blood Refinement Boundary, there would be one Cave Mansion every 100 kilometres.

If Lu Ye wanted to use Blood Crystals to restore his cultivation, he had to destroy those Blood Race members.

The four Blood Crystals didn’t help him make it to the Real Lake Realm. He was stuck in the Ninth-Order Cloud River Realm, which was awkward. But when Zhang Julai returned, he would certainly become a Real Lake Realm Master again.

While the Blood Race members were not in Bright Moon Cave Mansion, Lu Ye spent most of his time pondering how to improve the ward nexus that contained United as One.

At the same time, he was thinking about why the Heavens of Jiu Zhou sent him to Blood Refinement Boundary. It wasn’t like he could rule over this world, which was too difficult to achieve.

From what he had gathered about this world, Blood Refinement Boundary was a world as large as Jiu Zhou with a lot of Divine Ocean Realm Masters.

If he could rule over Blood Refinement Boundary and kill all the Blood Race members, he could very well be the overlord of Jiu Zhou as well. Therefore, the Heavens surely had no intention of making him rule over Blood Refinement Boundary by sending him here, nor did it want him to save the Humans.

This was how things worked in Blood Refinement Boundary. If he wanted to save these Humans, he would have to dominate the entire Blood Refinement Boundary and slaughter all the Blood Race members first. Hence, he couldn’t figure out why the Heavens of Jiu Zhou even sent him to this place.
