Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Knowing that they weren’t in a deadly situation but had instead just been trapped inside a seemingly harmless formation that didn’t cut of spiritual qi and allowed those trapped inside to cultivate, Chun Hua and Qing Yi weren’t that afraid of the situation they had found themselves in. Understanding that with their current cultivation, they didn’t have to worry about starving, and the worst-case scenario would be them waiting around for a few years until their master realized something was wrong and decided to check up on the two of them.

Neither of them were worried about their master being unable to handle the ancient spatial formation, as they were both aware of the fact that their master was skilled in both the Dao of Space and the Dao of Formation and in their eyes, was someone more than strong enough to handle the spatial formation that had trapped the two of them.

Of course, this didn’t mean they intended to just give up on finding their way out and just settle in for a few years of secluded cultivation while waiting for their master to show up. Instead, learning from the little monk who had somewhat calmed down by now that it was still possible to get out and the simple fact that a group of Core Formation Realm wandering cultivators had managed to make it out, they were fully intent on trying to find a way out on their own before their master ended up coming to rescue them.

Not to mention, while the two of them would be fine spending a few years cultivating inside the spatial formation, the same couldn’t be said for the little monk that had run into the two of them, as the little one only looked a little over twelve and had only reached the Eighth Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm. Far from strong enough to survive on spiritual qi alone.

Worse yet, the little one had informed the two of them that he only had two weeks’ worth of fastening pills on hand.

At first, the two hadn’t thought much of it and planned to just hand over a few of their supplies to the little one, but a problem they hadn’t accounted for was the fact that the little one was far too weak to consume any of the potent spiritual fruits and other edible demonic beast meat they carried on them.

At most, there were a few Mortal Grade Spiritual Herbs they had picked up along the way out of curiosity that could be ground into an edible paste of sorts to help stretch the food supplies of the little one by another week or two, but beyond that, they had nothing else to feed the little one.

The only way for the little to avoid starving to death within the next few weeks was them finding a way out of the spatial formation they had ended up trapped inside of, or the little one successfully breaking through to the Foundation Establishment. Granting him far better hunger resistance compared to someone at the Qi Condensation Realm while also giving him a few more things that Chun Hua and Qing Yi could feed him without worrying about his dantian blowing up in the process.

Setting aside the future food problem for their newly added companion who had already lost his home to wandering cultivators for now, Chun Hua and Qing Yi set off together with the little monk in search of a way out of the spatial formation they had accidentally ended up entering.

Of course, though the little one had made it clear that there wasn’t any danger within the ancient spatial formation and the only danger was being lost within it forever without finding a way out, Chun Hia and Qing Yi kept their guard up. Knowing that even if what the little one said was true, they might run into someone else while wandering around the spatial formation... And they had no way to tell if the one they ran into would be hostile or not.

Even if the strength of the wandering cultivators coming from outside to take advantage of the current chaos that had engulfed the Yellow Peak Region was far too low to pose any real threat to the two of them, they kept in mind that some powerful cultivators at the Dao Seed Realm or above might still be trapped within the ancient spatial formation.

After all, the spatial formation had once garnered a lot of attention in the past when it had first been discovered according to the little monk. Drawing cultivators from not just the Western Central Region, but also the Northern Central Region and the Southern Central Region because of its proximity to the two regions. Meaning there was a good chance some of the cultivators who had once excitedly rushed forth to explore the ancient spatial formation were still around somewhere within the ancient spatial formation.

Still... Even if the lifespan of Dao Seed Realm cultivators and those above would be more than enough to sustain them within the ancient spatial formation where spiritual qi was still present, tens of thousands of years wandering around aimlessly would break the will of most cultivators. The few that remained sane after such a long time in isolation were those with a firm dao heart and wholehearted devotion toward the dao.

Even if some had gone in groups to explore the ancient spatial formation in the past or ran into others who had ended up wandering into the spatial formation over the years, encounters weren’t exactly something common according to those who had managed to make it out of the ancient spatial formation with some trapped for thousands of years only encountering three or four people during that time.

In a way, Chun Hua and Qing Yi running into someone else only a short time after they ended up within the ancient spatial formation could be considered an incredibly rare occurrence according to the knowledgeable little monk.

Rustle~

But as the group of three were just about to set off after the little monk finished telling them everything he knew about the ancient spatial formation that the temple he had grown up in was located right next to, a faint sound from the distance caught all three of them off guard.

Now knowing just how unlikely it was to encounter someone else wandering through the spatial formation, Chun Hua and Qing Yi both looked in the direction of the sound while the little monk was scared stiff by the sudden sound.

A single look at his terrified expression was more than enough to understand that he was aware of the danger involved encountering someone within the ancient spatial formation. Not feeling the slightest bit confident in the strength of Chun Hua and Qing Yi, these two unreliable looking big sisters that didn’t look the slightest bit intimidating to him.

In fact, their harmless appearance was the main reason why he had been brave enough to approach the two in the first place.

As for how strong these seemingly harmless big sisters were? He had no idea and could only guess from their outward appearance that they should be cultivators passing through that had accidentally wandered into the ancient spatial formation.

The reason why he didn’t think they were wandering cultivators who had come to take advantage of the chaos to steal treasures and cultivation resources was because their appearance and robes were a clear indication that they were part of some faction, just not one he had seen before.

”Three at the Nascent Soul Realm, a dozen or so at the Foundation Establishment Realm and even more at the Qi Condensation Realm... Is this some kind of caravan that accidentally ended up inside the spatial formation? No matter how I look at it, it’s strange.” Looking towards the sound in the distance while using her divine sense to examine the approaching group in detail, Qing Yi could not help frowning a bit at the sight of the large group approaching the three of them from afar.

”Strange indeed, but given the chaos of the Yellow Peak Region, they might have fled into the ancient spatial tribulation as a last resort like our little friend ended up doing.” Nodding her head in acknowledgement of what Qing Yi said, Chun Hua voiced her own thoughts on how the large group might have ended up inside the ancient spatial formation.

Of course, with the strength of this group, no random group of wandering cultivators could force them into a dead end like this. Only some powerful faction, potentially the two fighting for the Yellow Peak Region, could do something like that.

No matter what, it looked like their group of three was soon going to grow quite a bit and their food troubles might be solved if this group had a large number of fastening pills on hand, a beloved pill for caravans because of how cheap they were and the fact that a single one could sustain a Qi Condensation Realm Cultivator for a week without food.
