Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having decided on sending his two disciples to the mystic realm now that they had both reached the Nascent Soul Realm, Xuan Hao made his way towards the palace in front of him where both Feng Chen and Elder Song were patiently waiting for him to arrive and inform them about how thing had gone during the sect alliance meeting... And at the same time, also find out about the young girl he had brought along with him as his fourth disciple.

”Maybe I should check out the situation in the rest of the sect and outside the sect before meeting those two~”

Knowing very well that Feng Chen and Elder Song had both already come to know about him arriving outside the palace and could hear what he was saying, Xuan Hao could not help wondering how they would react if he just decided to leave them waiting like this.

Would they come out or just stay inside the palace and-

Swish-!

”Ah! Elder Xuan! How great to see you here, why don’t we go inside and discuss the matter about the sect alliance now that you are already here?”

Not even able to finish his train of thought, Feng Chen rushed out of the palace. Stopping him before he even had the chance to turn around and leave.

”Sure, I don’t have anything else to do at the moment.”

Almost not able to stop himself from chuckling upon seeing the desperate expression that had appeared on Feng Chen’s face after he had stormed out of the palace to prevent him from leaving, Xuan Hao decided not to say anything about it and just followed Feng Chen inside the palace where Elder Song was waiting. However, compared to the somewhat desperate expression that had been on Feng Chen’s face when he had come rushing out of the palace to stop him from leaving, the expression on Elder Song’s face was calm and relaxed, as he quietly sipped on a cup of tea.

”Elder Xuan, it’s great to see you again. I hope the sect alliance meeting in the capital city went well and would love to hear about it. Especially if you have any idea about whether the imperial family, or any other major power in the Sky Empire, is going to interfere with the expansion and development of the Star Shattering Sect. Knowing such things now, would make it far easier for me to start preparing.”

”Information about the sect alliance meeting? Sure, I’m more than happy to explain what happened during my time in the capital city...” Hearing what Elder Song said, Xuan Hao did not bother wasting any time before starting to explain what had taken place during his time in the capital city.

From the demonic cultivator that had managed to enter the capital city and cause chaos before escaping, to the different independent sects he had met and how they managed to get control over one of the four leader positions in the newly established sect alliance.

In the end, Xuan Hao told Elder Song and Feng Chen about everything he had gone through during his time in the capital city. Excluding how he had been involved in the matter with the demonic cultivator or anything similar that could cause problems for him and the Star Shattering Sect if they became known...

”Hm... I see... Looks like we won’t have to worry about anything for the next few years due to how chaotic the situation inside the Sky Empire is and the different major sect should have focused their attention on the other independent sects. Haaa... This is really a perfect time for us to expand and develop the sect without having to worry about some more powerful force jumping out to suppress us...” Nodding his head with a relieved expression on his face as he said this after having listened to Xuan Hao’s explanation of the current situation inside the Sky Empire and what he had seen take place during his time in the capital city, Elder Song returned to quietly drinking his tea. The main change being that he was far more relaxed than before.

This old man... Did he only want to know if he could continue developing the sect without worrying about anyone interfering?

Thinking this to himself as he saw Elder Song’s relaxed expression, it did not take a genius to understand what was going through the mind of Elder Song at this moment. Even if it was not directly related to the development of the Star Shattering Sect, Xuan Hao was sure that it should be connected to it in some way.

”Now that we have found out that the sect alliance meeting was a success... Well... At least as it pertains to our sect, can I ask you about the young girl you brought back with you? Is she perhaps a new disciple?” Having learnt that there was nothing to worry about for at least a few years due to the current chaotic situation in the Sky Empire, Feng Chen instead decided to ask about Mui.

All things considered; Xuan Hao was the strongest person in the Star Shattering Sect. For him to take on a new disciple was a big thing. Especially given his three other disciples were all talented, with two already having reached the Nascent Soul Realm, while the last was a prodigy when it came to blacksmithing. Already having surpassed many of the elders in the Blacksmithing branch of the Star Shattering Sect.

”Yes, she is someone I took in as my fourth disciple. By the way, I have something to inform both you and Elder Song about-” Taking out the token from the trial that he had been given by the system, Xuan Hao ignored the confused looks that the two gave him before continuing.

”This a special identification token that can be obtain by talented young people through some different trials and tests I scattered around during my journey to the capital city of the Sky Empire and is something I intend to continue doing whenever I leave the sect from now on.

From now on, I want you two to make sure that anyone that shows up at the sect with a token like this will be able to become a disciple of the sect. Don’t worry, there won’t be any problems with the talent of the people chosen. As for the behavior and mindset of these young people... I will leave that for you and the rest of the elders to judge if I’m not there to oversee the matter.”

”You scattered different trials around on your way back!?” Being the first to respond to what Xuan Hao said, Feng Chen could not help looking towards Xuan Hao with a look of disbelief on his face. Making it rather clear to both Xuan Hao and Elder Song how surprised he was upon hearing that Xuan Hao had somehow scattered all kinds of different trials all over the place on his way back from the capital city of the Sky Empire.

Not to mention how he had managed to get the different resources and other things required to construct so many trials, Feng Chen was mainly curious over where Xuan Hao had found the time to construct the trials when he had only been gone for around two months’ time...

”You really do some amazing and at the same time weird things... I will make sure to inform the rest of the elders about this and make sure that the different elders in charge of the branch sects also know about this. After all, I think there is a far higher chance of someone passing one of your trials appearing at one of the branch sects. Especially now that we have expanded so much outside of the original Heavenly Sky Kingdom...” As Feng Chen was stuck trying to figure out how Xuan Hao had managed to do something like that, Elder Song just nodded his head before saying this. No sign of surprise on his face. ”Is there anything else that you want to inform us about?”

”Yes, I do indeed have one more thing.” Seeing how Elder Song had already figured out he had more to say, Xuan Hao could only nod his head in agreement. Compared to Elder Song, Feng Chen, the current sect master, still had quite a bit to learn. Even though he was technicality the older one among the two...

”What is it then? Did you leave some other things behind on your way back from the capital city... Or maybe you happened to find some kind of massive spirit stone mine passing through a nearby kingdom?”

”No, not at all, it’s a special technique called the Divine Will Scripture, I found during my time in the capital city.” Rolling his eyes upon hearing what Elder Song said, Xuan Hao did not waste any time before taking out the divine sense technique from the Divine Will Scripture. Allowing for both Feng Chen and Elder Song to read through it by themselves.

Given their cultivation realm, it would not be hard for them to figure out just how beneficial the divine sense technique would be for the Star Shattering Sect!
