Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Unaware of the fact that a group of people had met up to find a way to interfere with the independent sects during the meeting after having lost their chance to do so before they made their way inside the core of the capital, Xuan Hao used the time before the meeting to look around the Palace of the Blue Sea by himself.

Xu Bao and the rest of the experts from the different independent sects had already entered the main hall where the meeting was going to take place to ensure they would have a good place to sit and also to avoid running into any of the people from the sects that wanted them gone.

After all, even if they could not do anything to them inside the core of the capital where the imperial family commanded absolute control over the entire place, they could still mess with them in other ways.

”Hm... I wonder who the imperial family will send over to be in charge of the sect alliance meeting. Considering the fact that there is a chance the three religions might intervene and cause trouble during the meeting, the person they sent over should be someone in the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm...” Muttering this to himself as he wandered around the Palace of the Blue Sea, Xuan Hao could not help glancing towards the entrance of the palace located a few hundred meters away from his current location.

Deep down, he was hoping with all his heart that the person sent over by the imperial family would not end up being one of their Soul Ascension Realm Experts. Even if the chances of this happening were low, it was not non-existent.

Thump~ Thump~

Just at this moment, a large group of people passed through the entrance of the palace with arrogant expressions on their faces before making their way towards the hall where the experts sent to the capital by the different sects of the Sky Empire had gathered.

”This is...” Not knowing what to say when he saw the arrogant expressions on the faces of these people, Xuan Hao could not help wondering what had given them the confidence to act so arrogant inside the core of the capital under the control of the imperial family.

The first thought about their identities that came to mind was that they were the people who had come over from the imperial family’s side to manage the sect alliance meeting... But this thought was quickly thrown away after he realized that the strongest among those people had only barely reached the Sixth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

Even if the person sent over by the imperial family was on the weaker side, Xuan Hao would never believe that the imperial family would sent over someone who had not even reached the Late Stage of the Domain Lord Realm!

If they really did that, there was no way that the different experts present during the sect alliance would show much respect to the imperial family outside of what was expected. In a sense, the control of the sect alliance meeting would almost certainly leave the control of the imperial family if something like this happened and instead fall into the hands of the different powerful sects that were controlled by even more powerful kingdoms...

Rustle~

”Ah? Elder Scarlet Flame? What brings you out here? Did something perhaps happen?” Suddenly seeing Elder Scarlet Flame approaching him from behind, Xuan Hao could not help showing a slightly surprised expression on his face as he began worrying that something might have happened during his short time walking around the palace and exploring it.

”Nothing like that! I just came here to inform you that the sects who are against us are- Ah! Looks like they already arrived... I think we should get back before they reach the meeting hall!” About to say something to Xuan Hao, Elder Scarlet Flame suddenly spotted the group of people who had just made their way inside the palace as he quickly said this while pulling on him to leave and return to the hall where the rest of the people from the different independent sects were waiting for them.

”Those are the people from the different major sects?” Feeling a bit surprised after learning the identity of the large group of people, Xuan Hao could not help curiously observing the people who had just entered the palace as he said this.

Even if he did not think that they were the people who had been sent over by the imperial family, he didn’t expect for them to be the people from the sects that had been harassing and trying to weaken the independent sects.

The reason for this was not due to their strength or anything like that. Instead, it was the due to how arrogant they were!

Although they had the support of some major kingdoms inside the Sky Empire, there was no reason for them to act arrogant inside the core of the capital that fell under the control of the imperial family. The only ones capable of doing something like that was the imperial family or the three religions!

Because of this, Xuan Hao also thought that the group of arrogant people might have been sent over by one of the three religions to cause trouble during the sect alliance meeting... But now it looked like this was not the case...

”Yes! It’s them who always try to prevent us independent sects from growing whenever they get the chance to do so!” Nodding his head filled with anger as he looked towards the group of Domain Lords filled with killing intent, Elder Scarlet Flame looked like he was about to jump forward and attack them at any moment.

”I see... Let’s go back and wait for the meeting to start...”

Feeling and seeing the clear killing intent that manifested around Elder Scarlet Flame, Xuan Hao understood that it would be a bad idea for them to stay any longer in case those people discovered them or Elder Scarlet Flame decided against his better judgement to attack them in a moment of emotional upheaval.

Even if those people were not his match, Xuan Hao far preferred not making his presence known before the start of the meeting.

”Yes... Let’s go...” Looking a bit reluctant as he said this, Elder Scarlet Flame narrowed both his eyes for a short moment as he said this before both of them made their way towards the meeting hall together.

...

”Killing intent!?”

”Hm? Who was that just now?”

”Someone sure is fearless! Think we won’t do anything after leaving this place!”

At the same time Xuan Hao and Elder Scarlet Flame left and made their way back towards the meeting hall, the group of people from the different major sects all looked towards the place they had been standing just a second ago.

From their reactions, it was obvious that they had noticed the killing intent Elder Scarlet Flame displayed just now. Not that it was hard to feel due to him not trying to hide it in the slightest.

”But... Who was that person? Does any of you know what sect he is from?”

”I don’t know what sect that person is from, but if I’m not wrong, he should be an elder from one of the independent sects. Hmph! These people are getting more and more fearless with each passing day!”

”Independent sects... Hehe! After today, we will make sure that they won’t be able to show themselves for a long time!”

Realizing that the person who had looked at them filled with killing intent without the slightest bit of fear present on his face was someone from one of the independent sects, the group of people from the different major sects quickly calmed down before starting to cure at Elder Scarlet Flame.

Even if they wanted to take revenge for the clear disrespect, they had been shown by someone weaker than themselves, they also understood that doing so would incur the wrath of Xu Bao. An existence that none of them had the ability to deal with.

Only their backers had a chance to deal with this person... And they didn’t want to do so due to the fact that Xu Bao was rumoured to have enough strength to kill someone in the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

No matter how much they wanted the independent sects gone, there was no way they wanted to risk their own life in killing them off. After all, they also had to worry about other kingdoms on the same level as themselves taking advantage of the situation to destroy their kingdom or kill them when they were in a weakened state!

”Let’s go, our lords have already come up with a way to deal with those independent sects. All we have to do is follow their command!”

Seeing that everyone had come to a stop as they throwing all kinds of different insults towards the independent sects, one of the people present spoke up and quickly got the group moving again as they made their way towards the meeting hall filled with arrogance.
