Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Making their way towards the location that the meeting would take place together with the group of people from the different independent sects across the Sky Empire, Xuan Hao could not help noticing that the number of people walking on the streets today far exceeded the number of people that had been around during the week he had spent in the capital city.

Even when the matter with the demonic cultivator in the noble district took place, there were not this many people on the streets of the city. More importantly, the number of people in the Nascent Soul Realm and Domain Lord Realm present in the streets had also increased far beyond what it had been before.

If he would normally be able to spot one or two Domain Lords walking through the city, this time around, Xuan Hao had already managed to see more than a dozen... And that was considering that they had yet to enter the core of the capital where the sect alliance meeting was going to take place!

From all of this, it was obvious to see how important the sect alliance was to all of the different powers in the Sky Empire. Even if it did not directly involve the imperial family or the three large religions, the sect alliance was essential something that the imperial family had come up with to weaken the influence of the three religions of the Sky Empire!

The main reason why the number of people present was also because most of them were curious whether or not the three religions would work together to mess up the sect alliance meeting... At this point in time, the matter of the sect alliance was no longer about the different sects that had gathered together from all over the Sky Empire but was instead a struggle for power between the two largest factions inside the Sky Empire!

”Senior... I think we might soon encounter a problem...”

Just as Xuan Hao was lost in his own thoughts while observing the different people walking through the streets of the capital, Xu Bao suddenly used his divine sense to say this without anyone else hearing it.

”Hm? What do you mean?” Not understanding why Xu Bao had suddenly said they would encounter a problem, Xuan Hao could not help asking this through his divine sense. Even if he didn’t understand what it was about, he at the very least still understood that it would not be a good idea to say this considering Xu Bao had informed him through divine sense instead of directly saying it to him.

”I saw a few Domain Lords belonging to some of the sects that recently participated in trying to weaken not only the weaker sects who didn’t have a Domain Lord Realm Expert backing them, but also stronger independent sects like the Sunfire Sect that Elder Scarlet Flame is from.

If I’m not wrong, these sects and Domain Lords should be backed up by one of the more powerful kingdoms that at least have someone in the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm in charge!”

Frowning to himself as he heard what Xu Bao said to him through his divine sense, Xuan Hao could not help following the old man’s gaze towards a group of Domain Lords observing them from a distance.

Third Stage of the Domain Lord Real, First Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, Second Stage-

”Are you sure these people will cause a problem and try to stop us? Even if they have the backing of a Seventh Stage Domain Lord Realm, the strongest among them have only barely managed to break through to the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

Even without accounting for me or yourself, Elder Scarlet Flame Should be able to deal with this group of people by himself!” Feeling even more confused at why Xu Bao was acting so cautious after seeing through the group of Domain Lord’s strength, Xuan Hao turned back towards Xu Bao for an answer.

”Hah... I forgot you are new to all of this... Senior, what I mean by them causing trouble for us is not so much them blocking our path by themselves, but the fact that they will begin to spread information about our location to the other sects that are hostile towards us independent sects.

If I’m not wrong, it won’t be long before some of the more powerful sects that want us to disappear starts to show and when that happens, it’s only a matter of time before they come out do their best to stop us from reaching the meeting...”

Hearing what Xu Bao said, Xuan Hao began to understand what he meant with them encountering a problem. Especially when he remembered just how many sects under the different kingdoms of the Sky Empire Xu Bao had told him were hostile to independent sects.

Even if it was inaccurate estimate, the number of Domain Lords from these sects put together would at least amount to 60!

Although most of these Domain Lords were only between the first and third stage of the realm, it was still a powerful force that could be ranked just below the largest powers of the empire when put together!

”This... You really have a lot of people who like you...”

”I... Hah... Let’s get going before we end up getting surround and unable to reach the meeting in time. Even if the Domain Lords that are going to show up won’t be strong enough to stop us, I fear that their backers might also make an appearance and at that point in time, we might end up having to deal with multiple people in the later stages of the Domain Lord Realm!” Not able to come up with a response to what Xuan Hao said to him through his divine sense, Xu Bao could only let out a sigh before saying this.

Xuan Hao might be an extremely powerful expert that should at least have reached the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm in the mind of Xu Bao, but he still understood that there would be no way for him to help them out if multiple experts above the Sixth Stage of the Domain Lord realm appeared to block them.

Not to mention, he had already understood that Xuan Hao did not want to reveal his true identity nor his true strength.

With all of this in mind, it would be better for them to avoid a confrontation with these hostile forces.

Whoosh~!

Whoosh~!

Whoosh~!

Informing the rest of the experts from the different independent sects about their current situation through his divine sense, it did not take long before everyone increased their speed as they rushed towards the core part of the capital where the sect alliance meeting was going to be held.’

”Hm!? They discovered us, we can’t let them go before the rest show up!”

”Yes, we have to prevent them from leaving or the lord will punish us later!”

Noticing that they had been discovered, the group of Domain Lords watching them from the side looked like they were about to step forward and stop them-

”Hah? Do you perhaps want to be the one to stand in front of that old man Xu?”

””...””

However, the Third Stage Domain Lord Realm Expert who acted like the leader of the group quickly stopped all of the eager Domain Lords in their tracks with a single sentence, as all of the Domain Lords unconsciously turned to look at Xu Bao at the front of the group who was similar starring directly at them with a faint bit of killing intent leaking out from his eyes that sent a shiver down their spine.

After seeing that the group of people from the independent sects had gathered together and were about to escape from them, they had completely forgotten about the existence of Xu Bao.

The main reason for their fear when facing Xu Bao, was due to the fact that Xu Bao had been rumoured to be the one that killed a Seventh Stage Domain Lord Realm Expert who had once destroyed an independent sect that was on friendly terms with his sect. This was also the reason why nobody dared to go too overboard when dealing with the more powerful independent sects in the Sky Empire!

After all, an expert that could kill a Seventh Stage Domain Lord Realm Expert was not someone anyone wanted to fall out with if it was possible to avoid. At most they would destroy the weaker independent sects and spend their time weaking the stronger ones as they waited for Xu Bao to die of old age...

...

Rushing through the capital city before coming to a stop in front of a large gate leading into the core of the capital where the imperial family and the three religions were located, Xu Bao and the rest of the experts from the different independent sects could not help letting out a sigh of relief.

Leaving early had been a good idea, as the different people that would normally block them had not been able to show up in time. Now, as long as they entered the core of the capital, there would be no way for those people to interfere with them joining the sect alliance meeting!
