Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

[Limited Time Quest: Find out what is hidden at the centre of the Thousand Wind Mountains.]

[Time limit: 2 Hours]

[Reward: Records of a Thousand Winds.]

Looking over the new side quest that had just appeared, Xuan Hao could not help frowning upon seeing the time limit of only two hours.

Given the sheer size of the Thousand Wind Mountains along with the dangerous winds that could even kill Domain Lord Realm Experts, two hours was far from enough to search through the entire core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains and find whatever was hidden in there… And this was not taking into account the fact that the thing he would be searching for might be hidden by some kind of formation!

Without anything to act as a guide inside the massive Thousand Wind Mountains, there would be no way for him to complete the quest in time-

”…”

Suddenly realizing something, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes as he looked towards the bulky man with the Windbloom Flower in his hands moving deeper and deeper inside the Thousand Wind Mountains.

Is the reason for the appearance of a new quest related to the place that man is going…?

Thinking this to himself Xuan Hao could not help frowning. Even if it was not related, he didn’t really have any other clue on how to complete the quest before the time limit was up. Two hours was simply far too short a time for him to even search a fraction of the area covered by the Thousand Wind Mountains…

”I should just continue following him and see where he is going…” Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao shook his head before following behind the bulky man as he began making his way deeper inside the Thousand Wind Mountains.

At the very least this way, even if he didn’t manage to complete the quest issued by the system, he should still get a chance to see the mysterious expert that was the one to set up the Windbloom Flower!

Whoosh~

At the same time Xuan Hao was going over his new quest, the bulky man with the axe who had gotten his hands on the Windbloom Flower was anxiously making his way towards the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains.

From a distance, a gentle almost transparent barrier covered his body. Protecting him from the terrifying wind that was ever-present inside the Thousand Wind Mountains.

”I should not be too far away from crossing the border between the inner and core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains… Hopefully this Windbloom Flower won’t disappoint me…” Muttering this to himself as he tightly grasped on to the small flower in his hands, the man nervously looked at the transparent barrier surrounding him.

Even if he had heard about the Windbloom Flowers ability to protect someone from the terrifying winds of the Thousand Wind Mountains, he could not fully trust what he had heard. After all, it was well known that the winds in the deeper regions of the Thousand Wind Mountains had the ability to kill Domain Lord Realm Experts!

For him to believe that a small flower could protect him from the terrifying winds that could kill a Domain Lord Realm Expert… This was a little difficult for a Nascent Soul Realm Expert without any significant background like himself…

If not for the fact that he already knew that Domain Lords died fighting over the Windbloom Flower in the past and the fact that it was by far one of the most expensive spiritual herbs found in the Sky Empire, he would have never believed that the small flower currently in his grasp had the ability to protect him from something that could even kill a Domain Lord Realm Expert!

…

Travelling for a little under an hour at his fastest speed possible, the bulky man came to a stop as he fearfully gazed up at the massive mountains towering high above the clouds blocking out his vision.

WHOOOSH-!

”This should be the start of the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains…”

Even without the ear piercing sound of the wind, it was not hard for him to understand that what lay in front of him was the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains, a place where Domain Lord Realm Experts had perished and would spell certain death for anyone below that realm foolish enough to enter!

”If I’m not wrong… That place should be somewhere even deeper inside the Thousand Wind Mountains…”

Remembering his reason for coming to the Thousand Wind Mountains and risking his life in the first, the bulky man gently caressed a small simple looking pendant hanging around his neck before a determined expression appeared on his face.

Swish-!

Not hesitating anymore, the bulky man stepped forward and officially entered the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains-

WHOOOOSH-!

Not even a second later, the sound of the wind outside became far louder than before. The almost transparent barrier protecting him also began violently shaking as if it was about to collapse at any moment. Even taking a single step forward also became a challenge as his speed rapidly reduced.

”…”

Not saying a single word as the almost transparent barrier around him began shaking violent like it was about to collapse, the bulky man only stopped for a short moment before continuing deeper into the Thousand Wind Mountains after discovering that the barrier created by the Windbloom Flower did not collapse or show any cracks.

…

”That is… A more dangerous place than I expected…” Watching this entire thing from afar, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he inspected the especially strong winds inside the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains.

Even with his current strength, resisting the wind would take some effort and his speed would be far slower compared to normal. Fighting in such an environment would be bad. Not to mention escaping from a fight would be close to impossible unless one used a movement technique related to spatial manipulation…!

The power of the winds alone was more than enough to kill an unprepared First Stage Domain Lord Realm Expert… But still far from enough from killing someone in the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm like the one that had recently died inside the Thousand Wind Mountains according to what Yi Min had told him…

Thinking about this as he carefully observed the howling winds in front of him, Xuan Hao could not help looking towards the deeper parts of the Thousand Wind Mountains.

Given that a Third Stage Domain Lord Realm Expert had ended up dying, he was certain that the winds would get even stronger deeper inside. The only thing that worried him, was that the barrier created by the Windbloom Flower looked like it was about to start breaking apart at any moment after having to protect the Second Stage Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the winds outside and the mastermind had yet to show up.

If things continued like this, the barrier created by the Windbloom Flower would most likely end up shattering when the strength of the winds increased a bit more. At that point in time, with the bulky man’s strength, there was no way for him to survive inside the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains!

”At that point in time, the mastermind should appear to make sure that little one survives until he reaches his destination…” Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao could not help focusing his attention towards the almost transparent barrier protecting the bulky man from the wind outside.

Even if the mastermind was not going to show up in person to safe him when the barrier was about to break, Xuan Hao was not expecting something like that to happen before the bulky man reached the location he was searching for.

Instead, the main thing Xuan Hao was looking out for, was the trace of power and aura that the other party would inevitably end up revealing when secretly protecting the bulky man!

Even if the other party would only release a trace amount of power, it would be more than enough for Xuan Hao to determine the other party’s strength as long as that person’s realm was not too far beyond his own… And after merging together his sword and ice domain, he felt more than confident in being able to at the very least detect someone in the First Stage of the Soul Ascension Realm!

Whoosh~!

Seeing that the bulky man was already making his way past the first of the massive mountains inside the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains, Xuan Hao did not dare to wait around at the border for too long, as he used his domain to shield himself before entering the core region of the Thousand Wind Mountains.

As his dantian was already fully functional again at this point in time, this was not too difficult for the current Xuan Hao. At most, he was moving a bit slower compared to normal due to the strong winds.
