Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Back at the Star Shattering Sect, shortly after having made sure Feng Chen was not causing any problems and was focusing on stabilizing his cultivation base, Xuan Hao was happily making his way back to his small palace.

”With Feng Chen reaching the Domain Lord Realm, the sect quest for increasing the strength should have finished…” Muttering this to himself as he reached the small palace, Xuan Hao used the system to show the sect quest in question.

[Sect Quest: Increase the strength of the Star Shattering Sect]

[Domain Lord Realm Experts: 3/3] (complete)

[Nascent Soul Realm Experts: 20/20] (complete)

[Reward: Improved version of the Flying Sword Sect’s cultivation mantra, the Flying Sword Mantra]

Other than the fact that the name of the sect had changed from the Flying Sword Sect to the Star Shattering Sect, everything was the same as he remembered it. Even the reward of an improved cultivation mantra for the Flying Sword Sect’s main cultivation mantra had remained the same.

This made Xuan Hao quite curious whether or not the new improved cultivation mantra that he would get would be a sword related cultivation mantra or something completely new that would not only be suitable for the sword cultivators of the sect.

[Want to redeem the reward?]

[Y/N]

Well… There is no other way to find out what kind of cultivation mantra I will get other than this… Yes!

Whoosh~

Redeeming the reward for the sect quest, Xuan Hao saw a thick ancient looking book appear in front of him. The ancient book hovered gently in the air, as a mysterious yet sharp aura could be felt drifting off it.

Even just feeling the aura surrounding the ancient book, Xuan Hao did not have to look at the title on top of the ancient book to understand that it was indeed a sword cultivation mantra.

”Star Sword Scripture?” Muttering the name of the cultivation mantra that he had received from the system; Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit disappointed knowing that it was a sword cultivation mantra and not a more universal cultivation mantra that could be used by all the disciples of the Star Shattering Sect.

”This is!?”

However, this disappointment only lasted for a short moment, as he opened the Star Sword Scripture and began reading through the introduction of the cultivation mantra on the first few pages-

”The Star Sword Scripture is actually a cultivation mantra leading all the way to the Soul Ascension Realm!”

Indeed, the Star Sword Scripture was not an ordinary cultivation mantra or like any of the cultivation mantras he had encountered before. Instead, it was a cultivation mantra that pointed directly towards the Soul Ascension Realm!

If not for the fact that he had comprehended more than just the sword dao, Xuan Hao did not doubt that he would be able to breakthrough to the Soul Ascension Realm within the next few years with the help of the Star Sword Scripture.

For cultivators cultivating the solely the dao of the sword, the Star Sword Scripture was a heavenly Scripture that would help them more easily walk the path from the Qi Condensation Realm to the Soul Ascension Realm.

Even if the Star Sword Scripture was not too useful when it came to breaking through the Soul Ascension Realm himself, it was extremely useful for the many sword cultivators of the Star Shattering Sect. The one benefiting the most would definitely be Feng Chen, as the Star Sword Scripture contained several methods for someone who had recently reached the Domain Lord Realm with the dao of the sword stabilize their cultivation base…!

”Hm? Even if it’s extremely useful for sword cultivators… It might be too hard to understand…” Moving away from the introduction before starting to read through the Star Sword Scripture starting from the Qi Condensation Realm, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he realized that the Star Sword Scripture was far harder to understand than he expected.

Even with his own strength close to the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm, he barely managed to understand the first few parts of the Star Sword Scripture for the Nascent Soul Realm.

If even understanding the entire Nascent Soul Realm part of the Star Sword Scripture was not something he could do in a short period of time. Comprehending the Domain Lord Realm and Soul Ascension Realm part of the Star Sword Scripture was most likely something that would take years to fully comprehend!

”Looks like I got excited too quickly… However even if its hard to understand, as long as someone manages to comprehend it. Reaching the Soul Ascension Realm should only be a matter of time!” Shaking his head as he said this while looking at the ancient book in his hands, Xuan Hao had no idea how to feel about the Star Sword Scripture.

He was excited knowing that the Star Sword Scripture was a powerful cultivation mantra leading all the way up to the Soul Ascension Realm… But at the same time, he was sad knowing how hard it was to learn. Maybe only Feng Chen, outside of himself, would have a chance of learning it in the current Star Shattering Sect!

From the looks of it, getting a new sect cultivation mantra that could be used by the entire sect was something that would have to wait until the future…

Swish~

After spending the next few hours looking through the Star Sword Scripture and thinking about what to do with it knowing just how hard it was to learn, Xuan Hao ended up finding Feng Chen first before giving him the Star Sword Scripture.

Leaving shortly after to not disturb him too much, Xuan Hao had him put the first few chapters detailing the Qi Condensation Realm and Foundation Establishment Realm part of it on the first floor of the Grand Library for anyone among the disciples and elders to see, while the later parts of the Star Sword Scripture would be put on the Second floor and finally the third floor of the Grand Library before leaving.

Hoping that this way, the chances of a disciple being able to learn the Star Sword Scripture appearing would increase.

Feng Chen also understood this after first reading through it and understanding just how hard the Star Sword Scripture was to comprehend.

…

Like this, time slowly passed inside the Star Shattering Sect.

Other than Feng Chen reaching the Domain Lord Realm and a new mysterious cultivation mantra that nobody could comprehend appearing in the Grand Library. Nothing much changed inside the Star Shattering Sect as days slowly turned into months.

However, the same could not be said for the world outside the Star Shattering Sect!

The two large branch sects of the Star Shattering Sect started recruiting new disciples from everywhere. Soon filling up the two sects that had been emptied out after the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect had decided to move almost everyone to the Shattered Star Peaks where their new main sect was located.

Not only the two large branch sects had started accepting disciples, but soon a lot of smaller branches of the Star Shattering Sect began appearing before also starting to accept disciples.

These small branches were not too powerful and the strongest elder in charge of them was normally only at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm... However! These branch sects not only appeared inside the territory that was governed by the Star Shattering Sect, but also started appearing inside the territory of the nearby kingdoms and sects that had already submitted to the Star Shattering Sect.

This of course caused the different powers that had yet submit to the Star Shattering Sect to start panicking, as they understood that the time for their ancestors to break through to the Domain Lord Realm was slowly starting to run out.

It had only been a little over 2 years since the Star Shattering Sect had been established, yet they had already slowly begun expanding in all directions!

The only power that did not get affected by this that was close to the Star Shattering Sect was the Seven Fates Sect.

After the sect master of the Seven Fates Sect had reached the Domain Lord Realm, the entire Seven Fates Sect had stopped expanding and completely isolated themselves from the outside world.

Given that the Seven Fates Sect had a Domain Lord in it and was not really hostile for now, Elder Song decided to ignore for the time being, as he instead decided to focus on expanding the Star Shattering Sect into the surrounding kingdoms and sects located around the Star Shattering Sect that had already submitted.

Dealing with the Seven Fates Sect was inevitably something that would happen and Elder Song understood this very well… But at the same time, he also understood that it would be best if the Seven Fates Sect would willingly decide to leave for the core parts of the Sky Empire now that they had a Domain Lord Realm Expert backing them instead of fighting.

From what he had learnt about the Sky Empire, Elder Song understood that this was what would normally happen when a sect or kingdom got a powerful expert at the Domain Lord Realm.

After all, there were far more resources in the core parts of the Sky Kingdom. Not to mention the qi between heaven and earth was richer the closer to the core of the continent one got!
