Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Watching as Chu Yang started stabilizing his cultivation base after having successfully broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm, Xuan Hao turned his attention towards the two quests that had been completed after Chu Yang overcame his cloud tribulation.

[Side Quest: Help disciple Chu Yang improve his sense of direction, at least enough for him to not get lost in his master’s pavilion. (complete)]

[Reward: 10% of host’s physique is awakened.]

The first quest he looked over, was the one he had gotten all the way back when Chu Yang first became his disciple. Now that Chu Yang had reached the Nascent Soul Realm and his divine sense became more than strong enough to cover the entire Seventh Star Peak, he should not have any problems getting lost when going anywhere. At least as long as it was not anywhere far away…

”Hm? 10 percent of my physique will be awakened?” Seeing the reward that had been hidden up to this point, Xuan Hao was confused before feeling a wave of happiness wash over him.

Ever since he had first realized that he had some sort of dormant physique, he had been trying to find ways to awaken it to no avail. Now with the system’s help, it looked like he would finally have an opportunity to get some clues about his physique.

Maybe he could even use the information gained from this to find out about his background before he entered the Flying Sword Sect. After all, all his memories from before entering the Flying Sword Sect were gone and the only thing he knew about his past, was that he was from somewhere outside the Ewaria Continent…

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao could not help feeling excited when looking at the reward from the system. Although it was just 10 percent of his physique that would be awakened, it was more than enough for Xuan Hao. Especially given the fact that he now knew that the system quests would be able to help him when it came to awakening his physique.

[Hidden Main Quest: One disciple reaches the Nascent Soul Realm.]

[Reward: 10% of host’s physique is awakened, Codex of the First Four Mortal Realms.]

Seeing the rewards he gained from the second quest, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a wave of happiness wash over him after realizing that he would be able to awaken another 10 percent of his physique.

”But… What is the Codex of the First Four Mortal Realms?” Even though he was happy that he would be able to awaken 20 percent of his physique in one go, Xuan Hao was still caught slightly off guard by the second reward that had followed.

Codex of the First Four Mortal Realms… From the name, it should be some sort of ancient text related to cultivation realms, as for what it was about, he would have to redeem the rewards to find out. Not something he could do at the moment, as he still had to make sure Chu Yang properly stabilized his cultivation base at the Nascent Soul realm.

If he redeemed the rewards from the system now and ended up unable to act in case anything went wrong, Chu Yang might end up accidently hurting Qing Yi and Bai Ning standing nearby watching him stabilize his cultivation with curious expressions on their faces.

For them, watching Chu Yang stabilize his cultivation base was not only useful for their cultivation, but would also be of help to them in the future when they would have to do the same thing after reaching the Nascent Soul Realm!

With all of this in mind, Xuan Hao decided to wait for a few hours before he was sure nothing would go wrong with Chu Yang’s cultivation without him around.

After all, he had no plans to stay around for the days or weeks it might end up taking his disciple to fully stabilize his cultivation base. Staying there for the first few hours when things could still end up going wrong was more than enough.

Even if things went wrong after this point in time, Chu Yang should at the very least be able to stop himself from accidently hurting Qing Yi and Bai Ning observing him from the side.

With Qing Yi and Bai Ning sitting down to observe Chu Yang stabilizing his cultivation base, time slowly passed and soon enough, the sky above turned dark, and the moon rose high into the sky where it gently shone down at the ground below.

”Looks like his cultivation base is more than stable enough for me to leave him alone, those two also seems to have gained quite a bit from observing his breakthrough…” Looking over Chu Yang who was fully immersed in cultivation, Xuan Hao soon turned to look over his two younger disciples, both of them in a similarly immersed state.

Among the two of them, Xuan Hao even managed to sense Bai Ning’s cultivation take another step forward, with a bit more time, he should be able to reach the Peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm and begin preparing to breakthrough to the Core Formation Realm!

Whoosh~

Knowing that nothing would go wrong at this point in time and seeing that all three of his disciple were fully focused on cultivating and improving their strength together, Xuan Hao silently took his leave as he headed back into his personal room inside the small palace that the elders had made for him and his disciples.

…

”I wonder what will happen after I awaken part of my physique…” muttering this to himself as he sat down on floor of his room, Xuan Hao spent the next few minutes calming himself down and stabilizing his mind in preparation of the changes that would inevitably happen after awakening a part of his physique.

[Do you want to redeem the rewards for the two completed quests?]

[Y/N]

Yes!

Whoosh~!

Directly redeeming the reward from both quests at once, Xuan Hao felt a traceless power entering his body before focusing towards both of his eyes.

Fwoosh-!

Reaching his eyes, a burning sensation soon spread through them for a short moment before a wave of information imprinted in the deepest parts of his soul was awakened before it seamlessly merged together with his soul. Allowing Xuan Hao to instantly comprehend and understand this new information.

”This is-”

[The physique awakening reached 20%, as a result the Divine Void Eyes belonging to the host’s physique is now accessible!]

Not needing the system to explain what had just happened to him, Xuan Hao could not help marvelling as he went over the information about the Divine Void Eyes that came together with him awakening part of his physique.

The Divine Void Eyes gave him several special abilities. Among which, the most powerful one was called Empty Void. An ability that allowed him to return the area affected by this ability into primordial void. The space that existed before the beginning of the world!

Of course, with his current strength, doing something like that was not possible. After all, if he could do something like that, he would already have more than enough strength to destroy the world he currently found himself inside of, something even someone at the Soul Ascension Realm was unable to think about doing!

However, this did not mean that the Empty Void ability that came along with his Divine Void Eyes was completely useless with his current strength, it only meant that he would not be able to use the ability to its full potential before getting stronger.

At the moment, using the Empty Void ability would allow him to partially collapse the space within a certain area. Not only would this kill some weaker Domain Lord’s, but it would also severely limit his opponents, as it would be incredibly hard to use the spatial manipulation to escape or use a movement technique inside the partially collapsed space.

Normally, this would not have mattered if he was also affected by the collapsed space himself, but after awakening 20 percent of his physique, Xuan Hao realized that he had grown far more connected to the dao of space. Even if space had partially collapsed, he should be able to still use his movement technique without being affected.

Well… In most cases… If he ended up fully collapsing the space around him. Not only would he not be able to use his movement technique, but he would most likely also end up dying. After all, a true collapse of space was something that could end up leaving a scar in the world that would take thousands of years, if not longer for the world to recover!

”However… I have no idea if any of this is true in the first place, I would have to test it out for myself.” Muttering this to himself as he went over the Empty Void ability again, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just what kind of physique he had.

After all, he had awakened the Divine Void Eyes after only awakening 20 percent of his physique… Who knew just how powerful it would be when he fully awakened it!
