Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”I understand… I will be there as quickly as possible…” Having been informed about the unknown person that had suddenly appeared inside the Flying Sword City by Elder Song, Shu Yao put away her communication talisman before glancing towards the blue deer staring at her from the side with a cautious expression on its face.

How could I forget about this… Deer… Elder Xuan left me to take care of!? Should I take the deer with me when going to the Flying Sword Sect to meet this unknown person that is highly likely from the Sky Empire…?

Thinking this to herself as a frown made its way on to her face while looking at the blue deer, Shu Yao had no idea what to do about the blue deer Xuan Hao had suddenly left with her.

Giving it over to Feng Chen was not possible at the moment, as he had just recently left the Seventh Star Peak to settle some matters that popped up around the borders of the Flying Sword Sect’s current territory.

As for leaving the blue deer in the hands of Zu Fei… No matter how desperate Shu Yao was, there was no way she would dare doing something like that. After all, who could say whether or not the blue deer was still around when she returned…

”Looks like I will have to take it with me…” Muttering this to herself as she realized there wasn’t really anyone, she could confidently put in charge of looking after the blue deer, Shu Yao understood that she could only take the blue deer with her when going to meet the unknown person that had appeared in the Flying Sword City.

If that person was really from the Sky Empire… Shu Yao could only hope that the blue deer would not do something troublesome.

Coo-

Whoosh~

Just about to say something, the blue deer was interrupted by Shu Yao using her domain to draw the blue deer towards her.

”Calm down little one, we will just have to go to meet someone, and you have to remember to not do something troublesome… Understand?”

C-coo!

Not knowing whether or not the blue deer had truly understood what she had said, or just responded due to the fear of suddenly finding itself being pulled directly in front of her by the power of her domain, Shu Yao didn’t have any time to waste.

Swish-!

Directly leaving after hearing the hopefully positive response of the blue deer.

No matter what, there was no way she could waste too much time trying to convey what she wanted the blue deer to do. Especially considering that there might be someone from the Sky Empire in the Flying Sword City!

If that person started causing trouble after not finding out only a few Nascent Soul Realm Experts in the earlier stages were there to greet him… Shu Yao really didn’t want such a situation to happen, as she full well understood how arrogant the people sent out by the Sky Empire to inform the stronger sects all across the Sky Empire about the sect alliance were…

At least, the current her was no longer in the Nascent Soul Realm and wouldn’t be as easy for the Sky Empire to simply disregard! A Domain Lord was considered part of the core strength of an empire like the Sky Empire!

If there was no reason, the Sky Empire would not carelessly make an enemy of a Domain Lord. Not to mention, the sect that was the merger between the Flying Sword Sect and her Spring Flower Sect had more than one Domain Lord!

…

At the same time Shu Yao had decided to bring the blue deer along with her to meet the unknown person that had entered the Flying Sword City and started asking random people questions about the sect, Xuan Hao had already made his way back to the ancient temple that he had left only a short time earlier.

Focusing on the familiar aura that was still present on top of the ancient temple, Xuan Hao could not help smiling to himself after confirming that the one on top of the ancient temple had not moved at all.

”That person is indeed still stuck on top of the ancient temple… Looks like I was correct thinking that something is preventing that person from leaving!”

Ignoring the gaze that locked on to him the moment he returned, Xuan Hao no longer cared too much about the person on top of the ancient temple.

After all, as long as that person was stuck up there, it would be easy for him to avoid any attack throw his way. Not to mention, with the Drifting Cloud Steps, it would be far too easy for him to escape that person’s attack range if it became too dangerous!

Now that he no longer had the blue deer to look after, Xuan Hao was no longer as restricted, as he slowly began moving closer to the ancient temple while investigating all the houses and smaller temples along the way.

Entering the ancient temple was still not something that he dared to do, as he was still apprehensive when it came to the existence on top of the ancient temple. However, the same could not be said about any of the buildings and smaller temples located around the ancient temple.

Even if he could not complete the main quest through this, he would at the very least be able to get a deeper understanding of the massive city cantered around the ancient temple. Maybe he could even manage to get his hands on some ancient text still left in the smaller temples located around the ancient temple!

Whoosh~

With this in mind, Xuan Hao completely ignored the very clear killing intent emitting from the top of the ancient temple, as he rummaged through the different smaller temples located only a short distance away from the ancient temple itself.

…

Searching through the smaller temples located around the ancient temple, it did not take long for Xuan Hao to find several different ancient texts and scrolls stored in storage rooms attached to the small temples. However-

”I can’t read any of them…”

Indeed, all the ancient texts and scroll were written in some sort of ancient language that he had never seen before and couldn’t understand. Completely different from the language that was being used across the Ewaria Conti-

”Ah! Now that I think about it… The writing actually looks similar to the scroll I got from the stone hut inside the secret realm!” Suddenly remembering the scroll, he had gotten all the way back when he had explored the secret realm together with Chi Hu, Xuan Hao did not waste any time taking out the scroll in question before starting to compare it with the ancient texts and scroll inside the small temple.

Rustle~

Thoroughly comparing the words on the scroll, he had gotten back in the secret realm with the scroll and texts inside the small temple, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes. Becoming certain that the words from the ancient scrolls and texts inside the small temple and the scroll from the secret realm were the same.

”How is the ancient temple related to the secret realm… Or is the ancient temple perhaps just from the same time as the secret realm?” Muttering this to himself as he looked over the scrolls and texts of the small temple without the slightest clue what was written in them, Xuan Hao could not help feeling frustrated over not being able to read these ancient words.

If he could read them, he would have a way to find out about the ancient temple and just what might have happened to it in the past for it to end up in its current situation.

Not only that, but he would also have a chance to learn about other powers similar to the ancient temple and the secret realm that had existed in the past. Maybe even getting a chance to learn what had caused the downfall of all these strong powers that should have at the very least had Soul Ascension Realm Experts, if not stronger, protecting them…

Swoosh~

Knowing that the ancient texts and scrolls might prove useful in the future when he had a chance to learn this ancient language, Xuan Hao used his domain to gather all of them before stuffing all of them into an empty interspatial ring.

Swish-!

Having emptied out all the intact ancient texts and scrolls from the small temple, Xuan Hao did not stop there, as he went to the other smaller temples located all around the massive ancient temple at the centre of everything. Gathering up all the texts, scrolls and books he could find still intact.

However, doing this did not come without any risk, as the person on top of the ancient temple was less than happy to see what Xuan Hao was doing…

Rumble-!

Not having any chance to react, Xuan Hao who was about to enter the last of the smaller temples suddenly felt everything around him shaking violently before a terrifying sensation enveloped from head to toe.
