Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”Mhm~ I fell asleep? Didn’t I just drink the medicine?” Watching as Song Jia slowly began opening her eyes before muttering something to herself, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes upon noticing that her eyes seemed to have become even more cloudy than before.

Whoosh

Waiting for Song Jia to fully wake up, Xuan Hao decided to use this time to investigate the current situation of her body with his divine sense.

Although he could not find anything off with his divine sense. Knowing just how hard it had been for him to find the black spots hidden away in her eyes, Xuan Hao understood that he might not be able to fully grasp whether or not everything was fine after she had consumed the potion to supress the black spots in her eyes.

Especially so considering that he had no idea why her eyes had ended up becoming more clouded after the black spots were supressed, if he had ended up affecting her already limited form of vision-

”Hm? Elder Xuan, what happened just now…?” Hearing Song Jia calling out to him after she had mostly woken up and started, Xuan Hao quickly retracted his divine sense before focusing his full attention on the little girl nervously looking up at him.

Just from a glance, Xuan Hao could tell that she was confused over why she had suddenly fallen asleep. After all, she clearly expected to go through a painful experience after drinking the medicine like she had done in the past.

However, now that Xuan Hao had made a new medicine that could be used instead of the demonic medicinal potion, she did not have to go through the same painful experience as she had in the past!

”You fell asleep after drinking the medicine. The medicine has already taken effect, do you feel any discomfort anywhere and do you feel like something changed after waking up?”

Explaining that she had fallen asleep after taking the medicine, Xuan Hao quickly started asking if she felt any pain anywhere and if anything had changed since she woke up. Mainly wanting to find out if her unique way of seeing the world had been affected by the potion.

”No? I don’t feel anything wrong…? On the other hand, I feel like I… I can see your aura way more clearly now compared to the past…?” Tilting her head with a slightly confused expression, Song Jia looked around herself as her confused expression slowly transformed into one filled with happiness.

”I can see things more clearly!” Exclaiming loudly in surprise, Song Jia had kjust discovered that the world around her seemed way more detailed compared to before.

If before she could only see a rough outline when looking at people like Xuan Hao. Now she could to some degree see the facial features of the person she was looking at!

Yes, she had just discovered that after drinking the medicine that was normally accompanied by a terrifying amount of pain, there was no pain in her body and more importantly, she could now see the world around herself more clearly!

”That’s great!” Smiling happily as he heard what she said, Xuan Hao could not help feeling relieved upon hearing that nothing bad had happened to her vision and it had instead improved.

”Should we go and visit Elder Song and inform him about you successfully drinking your medicine without any pain?” Remembering how bad Elder Song’s situation was when he had left him to recover from his injuries, Xuan Hao felt that it would be a great idea to visit the old man, so that he could see that his granddaughter was doing fine and had already consumed her medicine without experiencing any pain.

”Yes! I’m sure he will be proud of me! I didn’t complain even once this time and there was no pain either!” Nodding her head excitedly when she heard this, Song Jia could not wait to show off how well she had done to Elder Song.

”Great, then let’s get going!”

Swish~

Not staying around Zu Fei’s pavilion after hearing her confirmation, Xuan Hao quickly left together with Song Jia.

Whoosh-!

This was just in time, as only a few seconds after Xuan Hao left the pavilion together with song Jia, Zu Fei landed in the middle of the flower field that they had been staying in just a few seconds earlier.

Thump!

Landing on the ground just behind Zu Fei, Feng Chen had a confused on his face as he looked towards Zu Fei.

”So, Feng Chen… Don’t you think you have something to explain to me…? I heard you and Shu Yao met earlier today… And you were planning to head out to the new sect location together?”

”Hm? Yeah, we did plan to examine the new sect location together soon, but we didn’t meet-”

Not knowing why Zu Fei had suddenly kidnapped him and brought him back to her pavilion to talk about something like that, Feng Chen showed an even more confused expression on his face as he answered her. However, before he had a chance to finish, Zu Fei interrupted him as Feng Chen suddenly felt like a terrifying aura coming from Zu Fei’s body pressed down on him.

How is that even possible, I’m clearly way stronger than her?

Not knowing where the scary aura was coming from, Feng Chen decided to remain silent. Clearly, he understood that Zu Fei was extremely angry about something.

In such a situation, Feng Chen understood that it would be best to remain silent…

”YOU! You even dare admit it?!” Narrowing her eyes as she said this, Zu Fei could not help feeling angry.

Thankfully, Elder Xuan had told her about it… If not, this stupid sect master might have been eaten alive by those Spring Flower Sect Elders!

Thinking about this, Zu Fei could not help narrowing her eyes even further as she stared at Feng Chen who was still oblivious as to why Zu Fei had suddenly become so angry.

…

As Zu Fei was thinking up various ways to make sure her sect master was not eaten up by some random elder from the Spring Flower Sect while she was not looking, Chu Yang had made his way up to the second floor of the badly damaged pagoda in the ancient city ruins.

However, just like the first floor of the pagoda, there was nothing of interest on the second floor of the pagoda. The most precious thing there would be the wooden bookshelves that lined up the walls of the second floor.

”Nothing on the second floor… Maybe the third floor will have something…” Muttering this to himself after he finished looking through the second floor of the pagoda, Chu Yang made his way up the spiral staircase and soon found himself on the third floor of the pagoda.

In the end, the situation on the third floor was the same as the second and first floor, so after a quick search, Chu Yang could only continue his way up the pagoda. Hoping that the remaining four floors would have something of value left.

…

”Hah… Nothing… Now there is only the seventh floor left…”

However, much to Chu Yang’s disappointment, the fourth, fifth and sixth floor of the pagoda were all equally empty. From the looks of it, the Explorer Union truly left no stone unturned when they searched through the place in the past.

Not even a simple book could be found in the entire pagoda and now his last remaining hope was the seventh floor of the pagoda. However, at this point in time, Chu Yang did not hold much hope for there being anything on the seventh floor after having gone through six empty floors in a row.

To be honest, it would be rather weird if the seventh floor had something left on it given just how thoroughly the Explorer Union had cleaned up the other six floors of the pagoda…

Swish~

Thinking along this line, Chu Yang rushed up the spiral staircase and entered the seventh floor of the damaged pagoda. Ready for another disappointment.

”Wha-!?”

However, what met him upon reaching the seventh floor of the pagoda was not anything like he had expected.

Instead of the seventh floor being completely empty like the previous floors of the pagoda, the seventh floor had something left inside it.

Not only that, but the thing left inside the seventh floor of the pagoda was more than just a simple book…

”Did no one enter the seventh floor before me…?”

Yes, compared to the past six floors, the seventh floor looked like it had been completely untouched, as the bookshelves present were filled to the brim, while a few artifacts could also be seen lying on the floor for anyone to take.

The entire thing was bewildering to Chu Yang and made him feel like something was wrong. After all, there was no way the people from the Explorer Union would simply have left the seventh floor untouched like this…
