”So, what is the reason you came here?” Having found a quiet place to talk inside the Flying Sword Sect, Feng Chen turned around and to ask Shu Yao.

In the first place, it should be something important, or she would just have contacted him through a communication talisman instead of showing up in person…

”The Sect Master of the Seven Fates Sect has also reached the Domain Lord Realm…”

”What…?”

”The Sect Master of the Seven Fates Sect is also a Domain Lord!”

Hearing what Shu Yao told him, Feng Chen at first thought he had heard wrong at first. After all, Shu Yao reaching the Domain Lord Realm was one thing, as she had been helped out by Xuan Hao. It was only after Shu Yao repeated herself that he finally managed to fully comprehend what she said.

Now the Sect Master of the Seven Fates Sect had also became a Domain Lord before him?

”Are you sure he reached the Domain Lord Realm?!”

”Yes, I managed to see him around the border of our territory just after I broke through myself… From talking with him, it seemed like he wanted to take over a part of the core region where the Heavenly Sky Kingdom was located before its destruction.”

Frowning a bit when she said this, Shu Yao could not comprehend what the Seven Fates Sect was up to and how it would affect her sect and the Flying Sword Sect. Especially now that their Sect Master had reached the Domain Lord Realm!

Were they simply trying to expand their territory now that they had freed themselves from being suppressed by the Heavenly Sky Kingdom for so long, or was there perhaps some other reason for their expansion?

No matter what it was, it looked like they would have to keep an eye on the Seven Fates Sect in the future…

”How troublesome… It looks like I will have to inform Elder Xuan and the rest of the elders about this…”

Compared to Shu Yao who was frowning a bit when talking about the Sect Master of the Seven Fates Sect, Feng Chen looked way more troubled.

Deep down, Feng Chen hoped that the Seven Fates Sect would give up their current territory and move towards the Core Region of the Sky Empire after joining the sect alliance being set up by the Sky Empire.

This way, the Flying Sword Sect would easily be able to grow its territory without having to worry about another sect with a Domain Lord just next door.

Leaving their current territory for a new one in the Core Regions of the Sky Empire where the resources were more plentiful, was never really something Feng Chen had thought about doing. In his eyes, staying in one place and slowly growing was the way to go and the way that The Flying Sword Sect had done things in the past.

A sect would not be able to survive for thousands of years without being cautious and knowing their surroundings!

Leaving for a more resource rich territory at the Core Region of the Sky Empire might be a great idea on the surface, but one should also remember that there would be far more powerful cultivators in places like that. In turn, one would also have to face far more dangerous situations!

The Core Region of the Sky Empire was a part of the Southern Core Region of the Ewaria Continent.

The Core Region of the Ewaria Continent was split into several different regions. Each being controlled by a power comparable, if not stronger than the Sky Empire!

It was also here that the fights between these large powers would mainly take place between the different Domain Lords under them.

The Sky Empire might be able to stay safe, but the Domain Lords under them would be forced to fight to keep control of their territory from any Domain Lords from other powers that might come to attack them at any time.

This was not to say that the Sky Empire would just let the Domain Lords under them die to their enemies, they of course assisted them in making sure that their territory did not fall into the hands of their enemy.

It was just that the fights were limited to the Domain Lord Realm, so as to not end up causing too much destruction.

At least, this was what Feng Chen knew about regarding the Core Region of the Ewaria Continent and all of his knowledge was based on what little records their founder had left behind before disappearing…

All in all, while the Core Region of the Continent was filled with treasures and countless opportunities, it was also a place filled with danger. Even someone in the Domain Lord Realm could not guarantee their safety, it was after all the place where the Soul Ascension Realm Experts of the Ewaria Continent all resided!

Shivering a bit when he remembered the things that their founder had recorded about the Core Region of the Continent, Feng Chen promised himself that he would never move the Flying Sword Sect anywhere near that place.

Not only would it be dangerous for the sect as a whole, but it would also make it extremely dangerous for the disciples to travel outside the sect like they could after just reaching the Foundation Establishment Realm at the moment.

The current territory of the Flying Sword Sect, while it was still dangerous to travel for the weaker disciples, it was still far safer than any territory in the Core Region of the Sky Empire!

…

”Looks like he’s deep in thought about something…” Watching Feng Chen’s thoughtful expression as he was clearly deep in thought about something, Shu Yao knew that their conversation would not go anywhere for the time being, as she lazily laid down on the comfy couch she was sitting on.

”I wonder what the disciples of the Flying Sword Sect are like… I never really had a chance to meet any of them before…” Muttering this to herself as she remembered the fact that their sects would be merging together soon, Shu Yao spread out her divine sense to cover the Flying Sword Sect with a curious expression on her face as she laid down on the couch.
