Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 362: Chapter 361: Two Women Compete_1

Upon opening the door and stepping in, a maid dressed in green greeted him.

”Green Tea, is the Golden Soup Medicinal Bath ready?” Lin Ya asked the maid before her.

”It’s all prepared.”

The maid stepped aside. Ling Chen peered into the room and spotted a large bathtub in the center, releasing streams of misty heat.

Upon approaching, he saw the bath was filled with a magnificent spectrum of colors, emitting a rich, exotic fragrance.

The Golden Soup Medicinal Bath required seven different rare medicinal herbs mixed in a specific ratio. The value of each herb exceeded one hundred thousand taels of gold, making the combined value of the mixture surpass one million taels of gold.

Usually, unless one was gravely injured, even a Top Sky Apex Strong would not use the Golden Soup Medicinal Bath to heal wounds.

Purchasing a pool of this medicinal mixture was equivalent to buying half a city—a significant indulgence.

It seemed Lin Ya had spared no expense to foster a good relationship with him.

After shedding his robe, Ling Chen’s physique was on full display before Lin Ya. Despite his numerous injuries, his nearly perfect physique was hard to miss. He had solid muscles and, though slightly lean, was virtually flawless.

Lying in the bathtub, Ling Chen luxuriated in an indescribable sense of relaxation. His pores opened, greedily absorbing the Medicinal Power from the water.

The pure Medicinal Power nourished his wounds, treating not only the external injuries but also gradually healing his internal ones.

Standing beside him, Lin Ya stared intently at Ling Chen as he soaked in the bathtub, the desire in her beautiful eyes more intense than ever.

BANG!

Suddenly, the room door was blasted open, splitting into two halves that flew into the room, sending wood fragments everywhere.

Ling Chen, who had his eyes closed, was jolted awake by the noise. He looked towards the door to see a beautiful figure emerging from the dust.

”You... you licentious couple!”

It was none other than Xu Ruoyan. Seeing Ling Chen sitting bare-chested in the bathtub with Lin Ya unflinchingly beside him, her pretty face turned gloomy.

”You misunderstood.”

This is bad, Ling Chen thought as soon as Xu Ruoyan burst in. Considering her temperament, if I don’t explain this correctly, things could escalate.

”Lin Ya just prepared a medicinal bath to help me heal. You mustn’t get any wrong ideas.”

”Indeed,” Lin Ya smiled at Xu Ruoyan. ”I was merely helping a good friend heal his wounds, focusing all my efforts to ensure his swift recovery.”

Xu Ruoyan raised her Cloud and Water Sword. Looking like a pure Goddess straight out of a Painting Scroll, her face devoid of emotion, she said, ”His affairs are naturally taken care of by someone else. You need not bother. As friends, you should maintain a certain distance.”

Hearing those words, Ling Chen felt rather overwhelmed. The undertone of jealousy was so rich even he could sense it.

Lin Ya chuckled. ”Miss Xu, you’re putting me in a tough spot. After all, Ling Chen is so outstanding, I can’t help but be drawn to him. How about we compete fairly?”

”Fair competition? You’ve got some nerve!”

Xu Ruoyan laughed coldly, her anger apparent. A hint of coldness surfaced in her beautiful eyes. ”Seducing a man engaged to someone else. Isn’t it shameful for the Young Master of the Black Market?”

”Don’t you have confidence in yourself?” Lin Ya provocatively thrust out her chest, revealing the alluring curve from her chest to her waist.

Then, a mocking smile touched her lips. ”I see. Even though you, Miss Xu, are a beauty capable of causing the downfall of cities, you are absolutely clueless about men. Men like women who care for them, not women like you who are unreasonable and stir up trouble.”

Ling Chen had to admit Lin Ya had a point. However, she had gotten one thing wrong: as much as he disliked troublesome women, he disliked calculating women even more.

”Well, I’ll give you a chance. As long as you can block five of my moves, he’s all yours!”

WHOOSH!

As soon as her voice fell, the sword in Xu Ruoyan’s hand automatically unsheathed. It flew out, transforming into a streak of blue light, trailing a long ribbon of sword qi as it lunged towards Lin Ya’s chest.

”Remember, you said it!”

Lin Ya laughed. Her graceful figure twisted and leaped, soaring more than seven meters high to dodge Xu Ruoyan’s first sword strike.

With a quick step, Xu Ruoyan flickered again. She rushed out like a phantom, gripped the hilt of her sword, and slashed towards Lin Ya in mid-air.

Ling Chen couldn’t help but shake his head and laugh bitterly. Did these two women really think of him as their private property, to be transferred so freely?

”Light Song and Graceful Dance!”

Xu Ruoyan waved her sword continuously. The sword qi formed a huge net, launching upwards to attack Lin Ya.

At the Martial World Congress, Xu Ruoyan had already defeated Lin Ya once. Thus, her confidence was high, and her moves were sharp, carrying an indomitable momentum.

”Unparalleled Sword Shield!”

Lin Ya danced with her sword, creating a wall of light. The blade spun rapidly, forming a protective barrier of sword qi in front of her.

DING!

Xu Ruoyan’s sword struck Lin Ya’s blade, the impact bending Lin Ya’s sword downwards. The powerful Sword Momentum forced Lin Ya to retreat.

A glint flashed in Xu Ruoyan’s beautiful eyes as she suddenly changed her move. She retracted her sword with lightning speed and then slashed out like thunder. The sword qi condensed into a crescent moon and shot through the air.

Lin Ya moved in advance to dodge Xu Ruoyan’s strike. However, the sword qi, having missed Lin Ya, shot directly towards the bathtub where Ling Chen was.

BANG!

The sword qi shattered the bathtub to pieces. Ling Chen was forced to leap out, looking utterly embarrassed. However, the moment he landed, his only lower garment split in two and slipped from his waist.

In that instant, Ling Chen’s manhood was completely and unmistakably exposed.

Xu Ruoyan’s gaze merely swept over Ling Chen’s lower body before her pretty face instantly turned beet red. She spun around and closed her eyes. ”You bastard... how dare you expose yourself like that!”

Even Lin Ya’s face flushed slightly as she averted her gaze. Despite her outgoing nature, it was the first time she had seen a man’s private parts.

Hearing this, Ling Chen’s face twitched. He suddenly felt a strong urge to curse. Him, exposing himself? If it weren’t for Xu Ruoyan, he wouldn’t be in this humiliating predicament! And now he was being accused? It was utterly unreasonable!

Glancing at Ling Chen, Xu Ruoyan’s eyes filled with complex emotions. She gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, sheathed her Cloud and Water Sword, then turned and swiftly walked out of the room.

Ling Chen hastily retrieved a new set of clothes from his Heavenly Mansion Ring and put them on. He then glanced at the spilled medicinal liquid on the ground. What a waste, he thought.

That tub of medicinal liquid wasn’t cheap. It was a real shame he hadn’t been able to fully absorb its Medicinal Power before it was all spilled.

Seeing Ling Chen dressed, Lin Ya approached, about to say something, but Ling Chen held up a hand to stop her.

”Miss Lin, thank you for your kindness today. I owe you a favor.”

After saying this, Ling Chen also leaped out of the room.

I didn’t expect to be the superfluous one this time, Lin Ya thought, watching Ling Chen’s departing figure. Her beautiful eyes flashed with a hint of disappointment. On the surface, Ling Chen doesn’t seem interested in anyone, but in reality, he already has someone he likes. Some things, no matter how one tries to hide them, simply can’t be concealed. What a pity.

Although she hadn’t won Ling Chen’s favor, Lin Ya only felt a little regretful, nothing more. For her, Ling Chen’s talent and strength were what truly mattered. As for any romantic feelings, even if they existed, they were a minor factor, almost insignificant.
