Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era

Chu Xiu’s words made Aurora show a look of admiration: ”As expected of Mr. Chu, able to so accurately see through the essence of the Titan Giant Mechanism.”

”In reality, the planning at the start of building the Titan Giant Mechanism wasn’t like what it is now; it is only out of necessity that it has become this way.”

”Mr. Chu, please follow me.”

Aurora led Chu Xiu into the interior of the mountain, quickly passing through the ammunition storage room. But Aurora didn’t stop there and continued deeper along what seemed like a long-unused secret passage. The two proceeded along the passage, and only after opening seven blast-proof doors consecutively did they finally reach their destination.

Chu Xiu revealed a look of surprise. In front of him was a gigantic cylindrical steel tank, with a diameter of over ten meters and a height like a rod directly plunged into the belly of the mountain, with more than thirty meters exposed outside. It was filled with coolant, and thousands of pipes as thick as adult thighs stretched from the tank into the surrounding mountain.

Chu Xiu expanded his Divine Sense, surprised to discover that these pipes stretched to hundreds of empty chambers in every corner of the mountain. These chambers either cycled coolant or housed some strange large mechanical devices.

At the center of the steel tank, there was a metal throne, with many wires plugged into it.

”This is...”

”This is the core weapon conceived at the beginning of the Titan Giant Mechanism’s construction, called the [Celestial Punishment Divine Light].”

”When activated, twelve gun barrels will unfold from the mountain top. The entire mountain will function as the power supply and cooling system for this weapon, and I will personally control these twelve gun barrels with my mind.”

Hearing this, Chu Xiu couldn’t help but spread out his Divine Sense again to examine the giant entity before him, saying after a long pause: ”Laser Cannon?”

”Yes,” Aurora nodded, ”only a weapon that reaches the speed of light can effectively counter those High Tier entities.”

Aurora’s words made Chu Xiu nod in agreement. The biggest issue with technological weapons is [targeting]. The more powerful the weapon, the harder it is to aim.

In Low Tier scenarios, this doesn’t need consideration, as no one can dodge anyway. But it becomes completely ineffective against High Tier beings.

Even high-speed missiles from his previous life required a complete radar reconnaissance and targeting system for precision guidance, and they could only deal with large ships that weren’t moving fast.

To deal with High Tier beings, there are only two approaches: one is nuclear bombs, which reduce targeting errors by vastly expanding the damage radius; the other is laser cannons, using the speed of lasers to ensure the opponent cannot dodge.

Moreover, the power of lasers should not be underestimated. A 10-kilowatt high-energy laser can cut through a 3mm steel plate in six seconds.

However... Laser cannons aren’t easy to make.

This is a weapon that integrates multiple cutting-edge technologies. Firstly, it needs to be able to generate a strong enough laser. Secondly, the laser must be concentrated together.

In Chu Xiu’s previous life, even large laser cannons installed on ships could only reach a 300-kilowatt power output, only sufficient to destroy drones and missiles or interfere with enemy reconnaissance systems, and were extremely susceptible to weather conditions.

It’s currently more of a research direction and has yet to become a battlefield-deciding weapon.

”So, what is the output in kilowatts of your [Celestial Punishment Divine Light]?” Chu Xiu asked.

Aurora lightly coughed, seeming a bit embarrassed: ”A single gun barrel can reach up to 2,000 kilowatts of output power, but it can’t last long...”

Hearing this, Chu Xiu was speechless. He finally understood why this weapon was abandoned. The entire mountain’s power and cooling system only resulted in a single gun barrel achieving 2,000 kilowatts of output, and even that was just instant power, not sustainable!

”A 2,000-kilowatt laser... would probably only take a few seconds to burn through a tank.”

With this kind of power, even if it hits a High Tier strong being, it’ll probably just be a scratch. It would likely take twelve barrels focused for more than ten seconds to do any damage.

Seeing Chu Xiu’s speechless expression, Aurora shyly lowered her head and softly said: ”If we activate [Overload], it can get even higher...”

As she continued, her voice grew smaller and smaller, until it was almost inaudible.

Chu Xiu chuckled: ”So you want me to help you enhance this weapon, right.”

”Yes, yes,” Aurora nodded quickly, seemingly afraid Chu Xiu would refuse, she added: ”Senior, although this equipment’s current power is lacking, the prospects are huge. This was my final reward from the King Tier trial, a guardian weapon of a technology planet, and its Level has even reached [Demigod]! It’s still of [Myth] Quality within the [Demigod] Level!”

”Myth Quality Demigod?” Chu Xiu was full of disbelief. The gap is too big. Moreover, how could the King Tier trial possibly drop [Demigod] items?

Aurora sighed: ”I only got the main blueprint. There are fifty-four more blueprints missing, so I had to research and design the details myself.”

”Moreover, this weapon was originally meant to be built in an orbital space environment. I placed it within the Titan Giant Mechanism, which required many adjustments, and finally, it became like this...”

”So this is the final result,” Chu Xiu said amusingly.

Aurora’s cheeks flushed slightly: ”But the principle should be correct, it’s just that the material strength can’t keep up, um... the blueprint indicates a standard output power of twenty billion kilowatts. My design has been simplified a lot, but theoretically, it can also reach a power output of a million kilowatts...”
