Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Vol 2 Chapter 10. Another New Pushover in My Life (3)

Patrick, who instructed Persona on Mun Yul’s training, was moving his steps somewhere alone.

Holding a liquor bottle in one hand, Patrick’s steps were more cautious and somewhat lacking strength than usual.

Last night.

He discussed this and that regarding the future of the Twin Dragon Sect with the Sect Leader.

And in that process, he confirmed one fact.

[Then… is it there?]

[Yes. We have enshrined it there for generations.]

[…I see.]

And now.

Patrick arrived in front of a grave.

「Twin Dragon Sect 9th Sect Leader Jin Su-han」

Successive Sect Leaders of the Twin Dragon Sect were all buried in the back mountain of Tianshui County.

And that has continued unchanged until now.

And the protagonist of the tombstone in front of his eyes right now is….

“I came. Master.”

The man who discovered and led Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon.

It was the grave of the 9th Sect Leader of the Twin Dragon Sect, Jin Su-han.

Inside this shabby tombstone that wasn’t even managed properly, Master is sleeping.

Patrick took out two cups silently, placed one in front of the master, and poured alcohol into it.

And filling his own cup with alcohol, he clinked it against the master’s alcohol and said.

“Let’s have a drink together after a long time. Master.”

And one cup gulped down without hesitation.

“Kuhhh…. Good. How is it? Isn’t it amazing?”

Patrick said with a smile.

“It’s called Black Rose. You’ve never drunk such expensive alcohol, right?”

Patrick giggled and said.

“I brought what the Emperor of the Venator Empire stashed away for this day. How is it? I did well, right?”

No answer came back.

Even the master’s complaints that often stimulated Patrick’s conscience usually were not heard now.

He knows.

That is a delusion.

It’s just a delusion created by Master’s teachings embedded like a seal and his longing.

But now, even that wasn’t heard.

Heartlessly so.

Patrick poured alcohol again into his empty cup and said self-mockingly.

“Asura Blood Sword, huh….”

Emptying the cup again.

A hot yet ecstatic feeling rides down the five viscera and six bowels. However, despite drinking the supreme fine liquor, Patrick’s expression was not joyful.

He sighed a sigh mixed with the scent of alcohol and said.

“Where did you sell the cool title called Gentleman Sword and heard such a sound?”

He learned it while talking with Go Seok-hyeon yesterday.

How the 9th Sect Leader of the Twin Dragon Sect is evaluated in later generations.

And in that process, he naturally came to know.

What Master did after his death.

***

Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon perished together with 3,000 elite masters of the Unorthodox Faction at the Falling Phoenix Sect.

It was favorable news for the Murim Alliance.

Although they lost a powerful card called Radiant Dragon Great Master, in exchange, the Unorthodox Alliance suffered damage close to annihilation.

Now, if they just defeated the remaining remnants of the Unorthodox Faction with a full-scale attack, victory was before their eyes.

And at that time.

An unexpected figure stepped forward most actively.

That was exactly the Sect Leader of the Twin Dragon Sect.

He, who usually didn’t covet achievements and didn’t have a warlike tendency, stepped forward most actively.

Why he did so became known soon.

Standing in front of anyone else and swinging his sword, he shouted like this.

[Bring my disciple back to life!]

It is said that his momentum was so fierce that by the time the war ended, his title, which was called Gentleman Sword, had changed to Asura Blood Sword.

***

“Master. Why did you do that? Why….”

He wants to see Master.

He has many things he wants to say to Master.

Really, so many.

But he couldn’t see that Master and say a single word of complaint.

Lamentation over timing….

Eventually, every child cannot help but be an unfilial child in front of their parents’ grave.

Drip. Drip.

Two streams of tears flowed down Patrick’s cheeks.

And Patrick knelt and prostrated.

He couldn’t bear to raise his head, but the shoulders shaking ceaselessly let it be known that he was sobbing soundlessly.

Right now in this place, there was no rare matchmaker Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon who shook the Jianghu, nor the rare hero Double Dragon Patrick Schneider who cut the Heavenly Demon’s neck and saved the world.

There was just one ordinary human.

***

A long time later….

Patrick, who gathered his emotions, smiled bitterly and said.

“Master, I won’t make excuses or anything.”

Patrick sprinkled the remaining alcohol on the grave.

The national treasure that even the Emperor of the Venator Empire couldn’t drink carelessly flowed over the old tombstone.

It was something the Emperor of the Empire would have been terrified to know, but Patrick didn’t feel it was a waste at all.

Pouring the alcohol until the last drop, he said.

“Instead, I will promise. That promise I couldn’t keep in my past life…. I will definitely keep it this time.”

Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon of the past life.

Whenever he opened his mouth, he said to Master.

[Just watch. Master.]

[…What?]

[I will definitely make our Twin Dragon Sect the Number One Sect Under Heaven. And I will also become the Number One Person Under Heaven so that Master’s shoulders won’t have to come down from the sky.]

[Is that so?]

[Yes. The disciple is confident.]

[Right. But Cheon-a.]

[Yes Master.]

[What correlation does that have with making the Wudang Sect Elder half-dead?]

[There is no direct correlation. Just saying I will do well later so please overlook it for now…. Yikes!]

To Jin Cheon who barely dodged Master’s scabbard brushing over his head, Master said.

[You rascal! Forget Number One Person Under Heaven and become a human first! A human!]

[Ssp, I’m not confident about that….]

[This bastard…. Come here! Won’t you come here!]

[I know I’ll get hit if I go, so why would I go?]

It is a memory of the distant past.

Too distant past….

Ten days after the Twin Dragon Sect recovered the manor.

Tianshui County people slowly knew that the Twin Dragon Sect pushed out the Twin Dragon Gang and found its place again.

This caused quite a big ripple in Tianshui County.

“To defeat the Twin Dragon Gang bastards….”

“Great Bear Twin Axes, that guy wouldn’t have been easy.”

“Did the Twin Dragon Gang really retreat?”

“They say it’s not at the level of retreating but they were all smashed and locked in jail.”

“By the way, Twin Dragon Sect. Was there such a sect in our Tianshui County?”

“Well, it’s a sect I’m hearing for the first time….”

“Did they come from outside?”

It was then.

“Hey you rascals! The sect that originally protected our Tianshui County before the Twin Dragon Gang bastards settled is exactly the Twin Dragon Sect.”

One old man who was eating next to them waved his cane and shouted at the young people.

“No, Elder.”

“Why are you being like this?”

To the young people who didn’t know the reason, the old man huffed and said.

“Originally. Our Tianshui County has been protected by that Twin Dragon Sect all along. It’s a prestigious sect that existed even before this body was born, and the pride of our Tianshui County is the Twin Dragon Sect.”

Certainly, tradition exerts power that cannot be ignored at times like this.

Despite decades passing since the Twin Dragon Sect was pushed out and disappeared, the elderly remembered the Twin Dragon Sect.

And even if they were people who didn’t know the Twin Dragon Sect, those who suffered from the Twin Dragon Gang’s evil welcomed the existence of the Twin Dragon Sect.

And as the fact that the Twin Dragon Sect is a prestigious Orthodox sect became known, several young people knocked on the door.

“I want to enter the Twin Dragon Sect.”

“Please accept me too.”

“I also want to enter.”

Seeing such people, Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon was greatly happy.

“Hohoho. Understood. Everyone come in here.”

After all, for a sect to settle properly, people are most important, aren’t they?

If it went like this, it seemed they could reconstruct the Twin Dragon Sect smoothly.

However, things didn’t work out that smoothly.

“I apologize.”

“I will quit.”

“It seems a bit different from what I thought.”

Young people who entered with spirit often couldn’t last three days and quit.

There were even those who quit in just one day.

‘This is troublesome.’

Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon was deeply troubled.

And to discuss this problem, he visited Patrick.

The place he visited Patrick was the Small Training Ground behind the Twin Dragon Sect’s garden. And there….

“Oh? Look at the state of your legs trembling. Are you a newborn fawn? Huh?”

“I… I think I’m going to die!”

“It’s fine. The Head Disciple of the Twin Dragon Sect doesn’t die from something like this.”

“What basis is that?”

“I will be the basis soon. You bastard? If you’re annoyed, you be the Bong-gong then?”

“Uaaaaah!”

There, Patrick was training Mun Yul.

No, rather than training….

‘Isn’t it dangerous?’

Mun Yul was repeating squats with a rock much larger than his body lifted above his head.

At such a disciple’s appearance, Go Seok-hyeon felt chilled without realizing it.

If he loses strength and collapses like that….

“Uh uh uh?!”

Just then, what he worried about happened.

Mun Yul couldn’t keep his balance and stumbled, losing the rock above his head.

The moment the huge rock fell onto the disciple’s head….

“No!”

Go Seok-hyeon tried to run hurriedly. But….

Flash! Bang!

A single flash flashed, and the rock shattered into pieces just like that.

“Ooooo…. Indeed.”

Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon admired. And….

“Weeeeell done. Well done.”

Patrick put on a face that was visually most infuriating when seen by a human and leaned closely to Mun Yul.

“How much did you do to be tired already? Huh?”

“Didn’t… Didn’t I do it for over two hours (one shichen)?”

“You only did it for one shichen. To wreck the lower body, you have to wreck it for at least half a day for the thighs and calves to even get a notice. Don’t you think?”

“…….”

This human called Bong-gong appeared suddenly, treated Master, and recovered the Twin Dragon Sect’s manor.

But although it’s a bit like this to think such things about a benefactor….

‘I wish this human wasn’t here.’

It was Mun Yul who couldn’t help but think so.

Do not worry.

Because it is a normal reaction.

And it was then.

“Ahem.”

“Ah! Master.”

Go Seok-hyeon cleared his throat, and Mun Yul, seeing the master who made his presence known, was delighted with tears in his eyes.

Master.

My great Master.

If it is Master, he will save me suffering from this evil devil.

Surely he will.

Receiving such expectations of the disciple with his whole body, Go Seok-hyeon stepped forward.

“Bong-gong, I have words to speak for a moment.”

“Please speak.”

“Before that, hmm…. Is the disciple’s training not a bit too dangerous?”

“Hm? That is naturally dangerous.”

Uh? He acknowledges this obediently.

“Then….”

“Training must naturally be hard, painful, dangerous, and annoying.”

“Yes?”

“If it’s easy and comfortable, is that training? It’s play.”

“…….”

“Traditionally, training is normal only when killing intent and venom saying ‘I wish that human would die’ dwell in the eyes of the human receiving it looking at the human ordering it?”

Ah, I see.

He knows it’s dangerous but orders it anyway.

So that’s why he acknowledged it.

‘Did Bong-gong perhaps come from hell, not the Western Regions?’

Just when Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon was about to say something.

Patrick said with a straight face.

“Sect Leader, Yul is very late.”

“Yes?”

“The entry age was late, and the time of doing full-scale training was also late. Compared to the rising stars of the Nine Sects One Gang or Five Great Clans, he is lacking a lot.”

“That is….”

“For a late starter to catch up and overtake those ahead, he has no choice but to work that much harder.”

“Must he necessarily compete with them?”

“Oho, a disciple of the great Twin Dragon Sect. That too a bastard who is the Head Disciple of the Sect Leader’s direct line gets pushed around by greenhorns of the same generation, not elderly elders?”

Patrick grabbed the back of his neck with an expression saying just thinking about it made him pissed and said.

“Before dirt enters my eyes (until I die), I absolutely cannot tolerate such humiliation and disgrace. Yup, absolutely not.”

“…….”

Can’t say ‘Aren’t you having too strong pride for the Twin Dragon Sect?’.

Isn’t he the Sect Leader?

Even if his mouth was torn, he couldn’t say words acknowledging that our sect is lacking compared to other sects.

Absolutely not.

Eventually, Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon ignored the teary eyes of the disciple with effort and thought inwardly.

‘I am sorry. You suffer a bit.’

‘Master….’

Poor Mun Yul, abandoned by his master, received a big shock.

“By the way, what is the talk?”

“Ah, actually I came because I had words to speak regarding the new trainees.”

“Ah, them? Why them?”

Recently Patrick was pouring all his nerves only into Mun Yul’s training.

So he knew there were new disciples who entered, but he wasn’t paying attention. In the meantime….

“What, they deserted?”

“Not to the point of deserting…. After doing it for a few days, perhaps because our sect’s training didn’t fit their bodies, they said they would quit and left.”

“Isn’t that desertion?”

“…….”

“Ow, just because I didn’t pay attention a bit, does it go around like this again. Do these things dare look down on the great Twin Dragon Sect? I feel like catching them all regardless of life or death, hanging them upside down, and twisting their legs.”

“Is there a need to go that far?”

The Sect Leader stopped him desperately.

Because if he didn’t stop him, Patrick seemed like he would really do so.

“Ugh, actually strictly speaking, it is the loss of the guy who quit.”

“Haha. That is right.”

“Stupid bastards, to miss the opportunity to become a disciple of the Twin Dragon Sect which will soon become the Number One Sect Under Heaven.”

“Hahahaha….”

Thinking about it again, his pride for the Twin Dragon Sect is truly immense.

Where does that confidence spring from?

“Furthermore, if they quit that fast, they just wasted the entrance fee for nothing. In a way, it’s our gain. Don’t you think?”

“Yes?”

“…Huh?”

“……?”

The two people looked at each other blankly for a moment. And then Patrick opened his mouth first.

“Sect Leader, perhaps…. Did you refund the entrance fee to the deserters? Something like that?”

“It is not so.”

“Hahaha. Right? Of course it shou….”

“Because we didn’t receive an entrance fee in the first place.”

“…Huh?”

“How can we receive money from those who came to the sect embracing a great will? Isn’t that right?”

Hearing Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon’s words, Patrick’s face started to turn pale.

“Su… Surely… Surely?”

“Why are you like this? Bong-gong.”

“Sect Leader is also a pu… pu… pushover·. Kugh… Kughhhh.”

“Bong-gong! Bong-gong!”

Patrick fell over while grabbing the back of his neck.
