Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4444: Continuous Punishment

As expected, Xu Wen welcomed a storm in the last semester of her third year. The officer’s anger could be described as a tornado. He roared again and again. Xu Wen was so pitiful.

She straightened her back and stood at attention. She faced the officer’s tornado head-on. Ye Jian and He Jing couldn’t escape either. They were criticized together.

Why were the two of them being criticized at this time?

The reason was simple.

As comrades, they didn’t know how to care about their comrades. They deserved to be scolded and punished. The three of them stood in a row and were scolded until the sounds were heard in the neighboring dormitory.

Xu Wen felt very guilty. Because of her, she implicated her comrades who got scolded as well. She thought that she would be done after a scolding. Unexpectedly, the officer pointed at the dormitory door and said to Ye Jian and He Jing, “Xu Wen was injured because of your neglect. Now, go out and run three rounds. Report to me after you’re done!”

“Yes!”

“Yes!”

Ye Jian and He Jing replied in unison. The corners of Xu Wen’s eyes turned red. She said firmly, “Officer, it’s my fault. I’ll run with them.”

“Have a good rest and reflect on your actions!”

The officer didn’t criticize her. He used the most unacceptable method to let Xu Wen understand the consequences of disobeying orders.

Xu Wen’s heart was about to explode. She wanted to say something, but He Jing reminded her, “Rest well. We’ll run and then come back.”

Ye Jian pursed her lips slightly. The officer’s expression told her that even if Xu Wen was resting, she wouldn’t be resting in the dormitory. Instead…

“She’ll supervise you to complete three laps! Listen to the command and turn left! March in unison!”

Just as she had the thought, the officer gave the order.

Xu Wen swayed. “Officer…” Even when she started begging, the officer wasn’t moved. Instead, he said coldly, “Why? Do you still want to disobey orders?”

“Xu Wen, watch us run later and think about why the officer made such an arrangement,” Ye Jian said. She knew Xu Wen too well. Her personal emotions were easily controlled. Once her emotions were affected, she wouldn’t be calm. Once she couldn’t calm down, she wouldn’t be able to think about the reason.

She needed someone to enlighten her.

It was obvious why the officer didn’t punish Xu Wen but only her and He Jing.

Obeying orders and listening to arrangements were not just about one thing. They covered all aspects, including reminding people what they needed to pay attention to.

Obviously, Xu Wen had changed a lot in the past three years in military school. Her bad habits during her first year of school had all disappeared. However, there would always be some small habits that allowed one to make mistakes.

They were about to be in their fourth year of university. If Ye Jian didn’t change all of Xu Wen’s small habits, she would suffer even more in the military unit.

The officer only punished Ye Jian and He Jing so that Xu Wen could see what consequences her carelessness would bring to her comrades.

He hoped that after this incident, she would be able to cut off some of her small habits immediately and think twice before doing anything.

When the officer saw this, he sighed in his heart. It looked like he still needed to have a good chat with Xu Wen. If Ye Jian hadn’t been guiding her, she would’ve been persuaded to return to her hometown in her first year.

It had been three years, and her rash temper had become much more stable. She had also removed many of her problems. She just needed to trim some small branches and leaves that were difficult to change and were hidden very deeply.
