Nine Dragons Saint Ancestor

Baiyue City, East Gate!

Compared to the three other gates of the Imperial City, the situation here is much more tragic. Both the newly risen Li Family and Lu Family have had their Family Heads killed in action, and all of this was simply the work of Xiao Yuanzhen, the King of Yulan Empire.

Outside the East Gate of Xuanyue Imperial City, there are forces belonging to Yufeng Empire and Yulan Empire, especially Xie Jiupeng, the Sect Master of the sect that controls Yufeng Empire, who has already reached the Early Stage of the Qi Seeking Realm at the Earth Rank.

Even more so, Yufeng Empire has always been known as the strongest empire on the Hidden Dragon Continent, which makes the power of Xie Jiupeng probably even more formidable than that of Lingtian Emperor Nie Wencang and Flying Flower Empress Ye Luochen.

At this moment, Xie Jiupeng has not taken action himself, but just with Xiao Yuanzhen alone, he has already killed over a dozen family leaders guarding the East Gate of the Imperial City. In an instant, corpses are strewn about, blood fills the air; a truly terrible sight.

”Is there anyone else?”

Xiao Yuanzhen, wielding overwhelming might, with an unmatched domineering aura, looked at those cultivators from various families who leaped down from the city wall but hesitated to move forward. A thunderous shout from him caused everyone to involuntarily step back in unison.

This, after all, is a powerhouse a half-step into the Earth Rank. With his thunderous methods just now, even the peak Spirit Vein Realm family heads of the Li and Lu Families were no match for him, let alone these mid to late-stage Spirit Vein Realm cultivators.

”If you don’t dare to take action, those with sense will obediently open the city gates and let us in; otherwise, your lives are at risk—do not blame this King for not warning you in advance!”

Seeing that he had intimidated so many cultivators of Xuanyue Empire, a hint of triumph flickered in Xiao Yuanzhen’s eyes as he spoke words containing deeper implications.

After all, although this time it is a joint effort by the Eight Great Empires, the empires themselves are not united in heart. They had an agreement that whichever empire conquers Xuanyue Imperial City first will gain much more spoils in the end.

Xiao Yuanzhen has a good relationship with Sect Master Xie Jiupeng of Yufeng Empire, and he believes that with the support of the ruler of the strongest empire and being the first Emperor to breach Xuanyue Imperial City, even Nie Wencang and Flying Flower Empress would have to give him some face, right?

Intimidated by Xiao Yuanzhen’s domineering presence, the cultivators of the various families in Baiyue City remained silent at this moment, fearing that making themselves the target would provoke the wrath of this Yulan emperor.

”Hey, old guy, my daddy said that if anyone dares to barge into Xuanyue Imperial City, he’ll make sure they don’t have a place to be buried!”

Just when everyone thought the East Gate of the Imperial City would be the first to fall, a childish voice suddenly came from somewhere. Immediately, following the direction of the voice, an extremely inconceivable scene unfolded.

A tiny child, delicate and exquisitely carved like jade, was standing outside the East Gate of Xuanyue Imperial City, with a singular braid on the head that no one knew how was made, looking to be only two or three years old at most.

The small figure stood in front of the colossal East City Gate of Xuanyue Imperial City, seeming disproportionate, yet it was this adorable little child who now stood with one hand on the hip and the other pointing at Xiao Yuanzhen, the half-step Earth Rank King of Yulan Empire. It seemed that the voice just now was indeed emitted by this child.

”Whose kid is this, courting death?”

After the initial astonishment, the family cultivators of the Imperial City all thought some adult must have been careless, allowing the child to run out. The saying goes, the newborn calf is not afraid of the tiger, so speaking such words seemed somewhat traceable.

Especially Xiao Yuanzhen, the King of Yulan Empire, who did not even acknowledge the child. Instead, he turned his gaze directly to the Spirit Vein Realm cultivators of Xuanyue Empire, as in his view, these were the people who truly had authority over the East Gate of the Imperial City.

”Hey, old guy, did you hear what I said?”

Seeing Xiao Yuanzhen ignoring him, the child with the prominent braid on his head immediately showed a hint of anger, issuing a loud shout, although such a cry seemed quite cute.

”Little brat, dare to speak nonsense again, and do not blame this King for being ruthless!”

The second time being called an old guy by a child, even Xiao Yuanzhen could not help but let out an angry hum, though as he spoke, the child remained alone without any adult coming to pull him back.

”Daddy said that anyone from other empires who dares to step into Baiyue City will be put to death without mercy!”

The child was not at all intimidated by Xiao Yuanzhen. After reiterating his stance a second time, everyone couldn’t help but become curious—just who was this child’s ”daddy”?

”Little child, who exactly is your father?”

One of the powerful cultivators from the Imperial City family gathered the courage to finally ask. At this moment, even Xiao Yuanzhen perked up his ears; he swore that as soon as the child disclosed his father, he would instantly slap the child dead, preventing him from talking too much.

”My name is Little Dragon, and my daddy’s name is Yun Xiao. He’s out there outside the North Gate fighting an old guy, he sent me here to clean you all up!”

This child who called himself Little Dragon did not hide his father’s name, and as soon as the name ”Yun Xiao” came out of his small mouth, aside from the foreign empire’s cultivators who didn’t know much about him, all the cultivators of Xuanyue Empire almost had their eyeballs pop out of their sockets.

Everyone should know that over the past year or so, the name Yun Xiao has become known to all in the Xuanyue Empire—slaughtering the three major families in the Imperial City, annihilating the Qingshan Sect, aiding the Royal Family to quell chaos and restore order. Any one of these feats would be considered earth-shatteringly extraordinary.

But exactly because of this understanding, everyone present knew that Yun Xiao was merely a sixteen or seventeen-year-old youth—a fellow who hadn’t even fully grown up yet—somehow had a child that was just two or three years old. What the hell was going on? Was this some kind of joke?

If this child, claiming to be Little Dragon, was truly the biological son of Yun Xiao, wouldn’t that mean the lad had done ’that’ at the age of fourteen or fifteen? That was indeed vigorous to the extreme!

This thought crossed the minds of many cultivators from the Xuanyue Empire, and as they pondered, Little Dragon continued to speak with great confidence, ”How about that, are you scared now? Hearing the name of my daddy, shouldn’t you guys scram?”

No one knew where this tiny tot got his confidence from. Standing less than three feet tall, he sure didn’t lack a commanding tone. His words finally snapped Xiao Yuanzhen back to reality.

”Hmph, it doesn’t matter if Yun Xiao hasn’t come; even if he did, I, the King, could slap him to death with a single palm. Little kid, you don’t know the immensity of heaven and earth, scram!”

Xiao Yuanzhen had naturally heard of Yun Xiao’s name. His understanding of him, however, was confined to being the champion of the Countries Hidden Dragon Conference, and he was unaware of Yun Xiao’s other deeds that were still only circulating within the Xuanyue Empire.

As Xiao Yuanzhen claimed, even if Yun Xiao himself appeared, he would not fear – let alone a mere child standing here, speaking so boldly.

Moreover, in Xiao Yuanzhen’s mind, Little Dragon’s appearance only made him scorn Yun Xiao more. To be a champion of the Hidden Dragon Conference and send such a little kid to persuade others, how cowardly that must be.

”How dare you insult my daddy, you’re courting death!”

However, at this moment when everyone had their strange thoughts, a furious shout came from Little Dragon’s mouth. Following that, they saw his right hand extend and a dazzling golden light shot out at an extremely fast speed, aiming directly at Xiao Yuanzhen in fury.

”What the hell is this?”

Although Xiao Yuanzhen found this golden light a bit unusual, he didn’t take it seriously at all because the child was too young. How powerful could a technique from such a young one be?

Unfortunately, this kind of thinking sealed Xiao Yuanzhen’s impending doom. The golden light arrived astonishingly quickly, nearly in an instant, and appeared right in front of Xiao Yuanzhen.

”Out of my way!”

As a Half-step Earth Rank powerhouse, Xiao Yuanzhen casually waved his hand, uttering a light command. He thought that even a casual flick from him would dispel the golden light in a split second, right?

”Hm?”

But at that moment, the very moment he was filled with confidence, Xiao Yuanzhen suddenly felt that the golden light had not been deflected by his wave, but instead hit his chest at an even faster speed.

Crack!

A light sound emitted, and everyone stared blankly as they witnessed the mysterious golden light penetrate Xiao Yuanzhen’s chest and shoot out his back. Everything seemed to have happened in the blink of an eye.

”What’s happening?”

Xiao Yuanzhen, with a chest pierced by the golden light, didn’t realize what had happened for a moment, nor did he feel any pain. He just looked confused and muttered to himself in question.

But in the next moment, Xiao Yuanzhen noticed the shocked gazes of everyone around him. Suddenly he felt a chill in his chest, even a wind passing through it, which prompted him to look down slowly.

”This... No, no!”

Looking down, Xiao Yuanzhen finally saw the blood spurting out from his chest. At this point, he realized what that chilling feeling was—it was the golden light that, with its blazing speed, had pierced right through his body, including his most vital organ, the heart.

With the heart penetrated, blood from both the front and back of Xiao Yuanzhen sprayed out like arrows. The onlookers were transfixed by this sight, hence their stunned expressions.

Heart pierced, not even a Daluo Golden Immortal descending to the mortal world could save Xiao Yuanzhen. But a Half-step Earth Rank powerhouse, the King of the Yulan Empire, met such a bizarre end—how could it be?

At this moment, whether it was the cultivators from the Xuanyue Empire or the powerhouses from both Yufeng and Yulan Empires, including Xie Jiupeng and the victim Xiao Yuanzhen, they all turned their astonished gazes to the tiny child less than three feet tall.

No one had seen what that streak of golden light was, but they clearly knew it was conjured by the two or three-year-old child. For such a young child to kill a Half-step Earth Rank powerhouse in one strike—how utterly inconceivable.
