The Game Called Chess

Victor and Skyla were both sitting on the ground under a tree.

The shade was cool and refreshing.

A gentle breeze rustled the leaves above them.

At this time, Victor was busy carving some wooden pieces into small sculptures.

His hands moved with surprising skill.

The knife glided through the wood smoothly.

”Young Master, what are you making?”

Skyla curiously asked.

She held the carved wooden statue that was the size of her palm.

Her green eyes studied the strange shape.

”I am making game pieces.”

Victor replied.

He focused on carving the wooden statue in his hand.

”It’s called Chess. I have read about it in some book in the past. It seemed interesting, so I decided to make one for us.”

Victor was not lying to her.

There was indeed a game similar to chess in this world too.

But it was somewhat different from Earth’s chess game.

And it was much more boring than Earth’s chess game.

Skyla kept tugging him to play with her.

By playing, she meant sparring martial arts with her.

It was his third day in this world.

Victor still hadn’t gotten used to the new lifestyle of this world.

In the morning, he was already tortured by the Marrow Cleansing Elixirs for three hours straight.

So he was quite tired now.

Rather than playing a tiresome game like sparring with swords.

He preferred some easy games for now.

So he decided to make chess pieces to play chess with her.

There were not many indoor games in this world.

Rather, there were not many games in this world.

The whole world seemed focused on martial arts.

So he had no choice but to bring out games from his previous world.

In indoor games, Victor was quite fond of chess and card games.

The chess game was easier to make.

As it only needed thirty-two pieces and one plane board to play.

Victor could easily carve thirty-two wooden sculptures into chess pieces.

And a three-square-foot wooden plank to use as a chessboard.

After two hours.

Victor finished carving all thirty-two pieces.

His fingers were slightly sore.

But the result was satisfying.

The pieces were rough but recognizable.

Then he used black ink to paint the wooden plank into a chessboard.

His strokes were careful and precise.

Creating the perfect grid of sixty-four squares.

Skyla kept silent and watched Victor.

He was making the chessboard with a serious expression.

From time to time, she held the small wooden statues in her hands.

She inspected them carefully.

All of them had weird designs.

Which didn’t seem to resemble any creature.

Except four pieces.

Their upper portion resembled a horse’s head.

After painting the chessboard.

Victor coated sixteen pieces with black ink.

They waited a few minutes for the ink to dry.

Before setting up the chessboard.

At this time, Victor started teaching her the rules of chess.

”Skyla, listen carefully. These are all chess pieces.”

Victor said while pointing towards the thirty-two wooden statues.

”The chess pieces are what you move on a chessboard when playing a game of chess. There are six different types of chess pieces. Each side starts with sixteen pieces: eight pawns, two bishops, two knights, two rooks, one queen, and one king.”

After that, he gave a short introduction to her.

”This big guy is the king. This is the queen. Rook. Knight. Bishop. And lastly, this is a pawn.”

Skyla listened carefully.

She nodded at each explanation.

Her green eyes were focused.

After that, Victor began teaching how to play chess.

He showed her how each piece moved.

The straight lines of the rook.

The diagonals of the bishop.

The L-shape of the knight.

The powerful queen.

The fragile king.

The humble pawn.

After one hour later.

”Ahhh, Young Master... this game is so difficult and confusing...”

Skyla pouted cutely.

Her blonde hair fell across her face.

Her green eyes were filled with frustration.

”Haha, it’s because you are still learning the rules. Once you understand all the moves of the pieces, you will find it interesting.”

Victor laughed and said.

Skyla nodded slightly.

But her pout remained.

”Good Afternoon, Young Master!”

At this time, another sweet voice appeared.

Victor looked to the side.

A black-haired girl was walking towards them.

Her black robe swayed with each step.

Her E cup breasts bounced gently.

”Good Afternoon, Lane!”

Victor replied with a faint smile.

”Hmm! What are you both doing here?”

Lane said as she came to them.

”Well, I was teaching Skyla a game.”

Victor said faintly.

”Young Master invented a new game, but it is too difficult to play.”

Skyla said.

She pointed towards the chessboard.

”Hmm, a new game.”

Lane looked at the chessboard.

Dozens of wooden statues were placed on the board.

It looked kind of strange to her.

But she didn’t pay much attention to the chess.

Rather her mind was occupied with another matter.

”Young Master, this is unfair. You are showing favoritism again. Why didn’t you call me as well? I also wanted to play with the Young Master.”

Lane sat down beside Victor and said with a wronged expression.

She held his hand and shook it.

Her soft body pressed against his arm.

Her large E cup breasts squished against his bicep.

She clung to him like a koala.

Her warm breath tickled his neck.

She leaned in closer.

Her black eyes sparkled with playful mischief.

She pouted her full lips.

Tugging at his sleeve with exaggerated disappointment.

Making sure he couldn’t ignore her presence.

Victor felt the softness of her breasts against his arm.

His heart raced slightly.

”Don’t worry, I will teach you as well.”

Victor smiled lightly and said.

Lane was surprised.

In the past, whenever she tried this kind of act.

He would show an annoyed expression.

Now it was completely opposite.

Lane happily took advantage of the moment.

She moved closer to him.

Almost clinging to him.

She felt the Young Master seemed in a good mood today.

Her arms wrapped around his.

Her voluptuous curves pressed against his side.

Her head rested on his shoulder.

She looked up at him with adoring eyes.

At this close distance.

Victor could smell the faint sweet fragrance of her.
