Gu Xijiu was there, looking at him sternly. She then reached out for his face, and streaks of seven-colored rays slowly emerged.

Fan Qianshi stayed frozen. He wanted to avoid her but was unable to move. The seven-colored ray slowly penetrated his head, giving him a terrible headache. Something in his brain had been forcefully shattered and removed. It was a physical torment that he could no longer endure, so he was seen struggling.

Soon, Gu Xijiu removed her hands from his face. “You are no longer my disciple because of your profoundly stupid action. From now on, we are no longer associated. Leave!” She removed some of his memories so that he could not remember what she said to him when he had used the Illusionary Spell on her.

She then walked away and went back into the Tianyin Valley. The wizardry barrier was once again sealed.

Fan Qianshi spent the next ten days kneeling and begging for forgiveness. He had not eaten or drunk anything. The only phrase that he kept repeating was, “Master, I know my mistake now. Please do not banish me.”

Fan Qianshi was well-known in the Tianyin Valley, so most of them stood by him in this time of his hardship, including Wu Qianyan. All of them begged for him to be forgiven.

Stubbornly, Gu Xijiu refused to dismiss the ultimatum. She also did not allow anyone to go outside and see him.

Wu Qianyan decided to take the risk of being punished. She sneaked outside the barrier to feed him with food and water, but Fan Qianshi refused her offer. Only with Gu Xijiu’s forgiveness would he rise to his feet. Otherwise, he would keep on kneeling until the end of time.

As days went by, he slowly weakened. Wu Qianyan and his friends were on their toes, waiting for him to return. They kept trying to help him by trying many different ways to convince Gu Xijiu to change her mind.

In order to stop the hassle once and for all, Gu Xijiu issued a warning to everyone. “Whoever who helps Fan Qianshi will be banished, just as same.”

The warning finally solved many problems for her. Most of the servants were too timid to say anything more. Perhaps, it was only Wu Qianyan, who was still stubborn. She continued to ask Gu Xijiu to forgive him, so she ended up being banished as well.

Therefore, the two banished people joined hands as they kneeled on the outside of the wizardry barrier.

Gu Xijiu felt bad for Fan Qianshi as well. After all, he was the only disciple that she had ever trained since her return. Moreover, he was also the only successor that could take over her role. But Fan Qianshi had really crossed the line, which was something she could no longer tolerate. She needed to give him a hard lesson so that he would not do anything reckless in the future.

Her spiritual power was well maintained at 20 percent of her overall strength, which was still enough to overpower him. By the time her power was reduced to an unprecedented low, there was no way she could be sure that he would not do bad things against her will, by force.

The relationship between a master and a disciple was not something against the social norm, but Gu Xijiu had never felt it that way about Fan Qianshi. Additionally, she would like to avoid getting all tangled up with her own disciple right before her dying days. Although Fan Qianshi seemed like a gentleman, his views generally tended towards the extreme. If he really wanted something, there was no way he would change his mind.

If the situation went on, she could not be sure if he would do something extreme to mourn her death. Hence, she really needed him to get rid of his unhealthy thoughts about her.

However, she was not quite sure about what to do now as the relationship issue was indeed a headache for her. Her mind was in a tumult, so she decided to isolate herself to study the sky and the stars.

She could foresee the rise and fall in all six worlds through the relative positions of celestial bodies. She had been studying astrology since eight years ago when she recovered her knowledge about the suns, moons, and planets.

In the depths of Tianyin Valley, there was a cave. It was the place for her to study the stars. Some fractions of her memory were still missing, so she could not understand some of the constellations. Nevertheless, in time, she believed that her understanding would be slowly improved.
