Di Fuyi insisted on getting to the bottom of the matter. If Long Siye refused to explain, he would certainly not let him carry out the treatment for Gu Xijiu. Also, Long Siye could not kick the young man out of his house, for he was more powerful than him, both in terms of physical strength and social rank. Without a choice, Long Siye had to tell him.

Long Siye started by telling him the general issues of Gu Xijiu’s injuries, including the proposition that she made about the treatment. Di Fuyi did not interrupt Long Siye. Once finished, he gave him two options. The first option was a fight. Whoever won would be the one carrying out the treatment for Gu Xijiu. The second option was a voluntary withdrawal. Long Siye would stand away and guard the doors while Di Fuyi carried out the treatment for Gu Xijiu. Once it was done, he would then visit Spiritual Master Shanjing to ask for the cure for her complete recovery.

Long Siye was outraged! Either way, Di Fuyi would end up being the one carrying out the treatment. He tried to reason with Di Fuyi, “Your Highness, the steps of the treatment are extremely complicated. I cannot explain everything briefly in plain words. Her injuries are too severe to allow any mistakes. If you really want the best for her, let’s not have this argument at this critical moment.”

He was sincere to resolve the complication, but Di Fuyi remained unshakable in his determination. “Don’t worry. You only have to tell me the correct steps, and I shall be sure that nothing will go wrong.”

“Your Highness!”

“I have decided!”

Long Siye did not know what to do. He took a few breaths while finding the right words to say. “I believe that you really like her. Why are you risking her life?”

Di Fuyi hugged his arms and said nothing more. He continued to glance at Long Siye coldly. Apparently, he would not back off. Long Siye continued scornfully, “It seems to me that you do not really appreciate her, after all.”

Di Fuyi looked away and answered coldly, “You have mistaken. I never said that I like her. However, if she has claimed to be my fiancée, I will be sure to take care of her innocence. I will not allow another man to see her naked body.”

Long Siye was speechless. Frustrated, he had to set the matter straight. “She will explain the situation to you later.”

“I will wait for her explanation, but before that, I am the one who treats her injuries.”

Long Siye could not say anything more. There was no time to lose. He had to agree to let Di Fuyi carry out the treatment on his behalf. However, he did have one condition. “Xijiu’s injuries cannot be delayed any longer. You have to learn the steps in half an hour. If not, I will do it myself. I cannot watch as she dies.”

“All right!” Di Fuyi agreed swiftly.

The treatment required the use of spiritual power, so the steps were very complicated. He had to master the use of spells and the level of strength of his spiritual power.

Long Siye knew about the treatment from the medical books given by Gu Xijiu. He took approximately ten days to get a grasp of the concept and a month to understand it fully. However, he had never executed it.

When Long Siye explained to Di Fuyi, he purposely talked and acted swiftly. He wanted to make Di Fuyi realize the difficulties that lied in these complicated steps so that he would withdraw from it. After his explanation, Di Fuyi began to demonstrate. All his steps were correct; seemingly smoother.

Long Siye could not help but think that he must have learned these steps before. However, if he had, an arrogant man like him would not have wasted time listening to Long Siye’s explanation. Therefore, he must be scarily smart.

Long Siye did not know what to feel. After the demonstration, Di Fuyi asked, “How was it?”
