The backrest of the chair was as cold as her heart. She slowly sat on the rocking chair which Di Fuyi used to sit in and began to hug the backrest as if she was searching for his odor. It was a certainty that she would encounter another disappointment.

Di Fuyi was once a lively and compelling person, but nothing about him was left in the world when he immortalized. She was the only one who remembered him, and to make matters worse; she could never see him again.

She lied down and looked at the starry sky, fixing her gaze on the biggest star. Slowly, her vision was got blurry, and she realized it was tear forming on her eye when she rubbed it. Coldly, she looked at her hand. She covered her eyes, but the tears still penetrated the gaps between her fingers.

Being arrogant and independent, Gu Xijiu was used to sobbing quietly when she had to cry. The tears were overflowing this time, just like the disappointment in her heart.

After several days of anxiety and disappointment, she finally collapsed. She could not hold her emotions together anymore in this empty palace. She let go and cried!

“Di Fuyi, I hate you!”

“Di Fuyi, you come out and see me…”

“Di Fuyi, I’m hurt. Look, the dragon bit my arm, it’s painful! You must come out and take a look…” She rolled up her sleeve and exposed the flesh on her arm… However, the one who used to care about her would not appear anymore. Regardless of whether she was injured or dying, the one she wanted to see would never show up again.

There were a million stars in the sky tonight, but the one she wanted to see was not there anymore. Gu Xijiu consumed all of her energy crying her tears out, and her voice even caused the palace to tremor lightly. The plants swayed and even teared as she cried.

The wind blew in the palace, and her dress was fluttering, she felt even more lonely now. She had no idea how long she had been crying; she only knew that she began to feel dizzy and had a headache.

She realized her voice was hoarse when she finally stopped crying. Then, she looked at the sky again. The shadow of Di Fuyi was swaying in the sky and slowly disappeared.

Suddenly, a terrifying thought occurred to her. It seemed that her memories of Di Fuyi were getting clouded. Initially, it was very clear, but she realized something was wrong in her mind as if something was trying to rub away her memories of Di Fuyi.

Immediately, she felt a cold sensation on her limbs! Would she forget about him?!! No way! She did not want the world to forget about him! She did not want to forget about him either! If she forgets about him, then he would be completely gone!

Di Fuyi had done so much for her; he had done so much for her world. How could he disappear this way?! She wanted to keep his memories! She struggled to get up and pulled out a short knife. She ran toward a huge rock and began to carve his name- ‘Di Fuyi.’

This name was both pleasing and torturing to her; every single stroke on the rock felt like strokes on her heart. Surprisingly, the three characters immediately disappeared once she finished carving them as if there was an invisible hand always ready to wipe his name off.

How could it be?! Not even his name?! What evil things had he done that the Heavenly Order had to treat him this way?!

Gu Xijiu was extremely mad, so she continued to carve his name again. Di Fuyi, Huang Tu… These two names had already left a mark on her soul… It was wiped off every single time she was done carving them.

She used her spiritual power to carve his name, and even bit her fingertips and used her blood to write it… It did not work. These two names seemed to have become taboo in this world. No matter what strategy she used, she would watch disappointedly as the names disappeared.

Di Fuyi, how can I keep your memories? What should I do to keep something about you in this world? She idled in front of the huge rock and suddenly had an idea. She quickly used the knife and carved a poem. ‘One has gone after he has done his part without leaving any footprint as proof.’

She held her breath and waited for a while after she was done carving the poem. It was still there! The poem did not disappear! Awesome! She would just continue to carve this poem!

She was slightly more energetic now and began to carve the poem everywhere in the palace.

Four hours later, the entire Crystal Palace was covered by this poem. She even made the two characters ‘Fu’ and ‘Yi’ more prominent than the rest…

In the end, she looked at the poem as she sat on the rocking chair. ‘One has gone after he has done his part without leaving any footprint as proof.’

She seemed to have been inspired. “Di Fuyi, did you get this nickname for what would happen today?”

She lifted her chin and laughed. “Di Fuyi, you already knew you would have this ending, didn’t you?!”

‘It’s so cool that you’ve left! But you left me alone in this world…’

‘Di Fuyi, I hate you. I hate you…’

‘If there is an afterlife, I’d rather not know you…’

She teared as she laughed, looking at the big seven-colored star in the sky as she sat on the rocking chair alone.

No one in this world would look at the stars with her anymore; no one would ever hug her in his embrace when she fell asleep.

She sang softly. “Karma is the reason for obsession, sadness will turn into someone’s taboo, and you could never hold it when time slipped away… The promises we made ten years ago disappeared as the four seasons repeated every year…”

She was exhausted. The saddest thing was she got nothing in return even though she has gone through so many hassles.

Finally, she fell asleep.

The Firmament Stone on her wrist, who pretended to be dead, finally shone.

“Master, Di Fuyi did not know everything about the world. He certainly did not know that he would vanish after he immortalized…”

“Master, this is the deal between Di Fuyi and the Heavenly Order. He willingly to take all the punishments because he wanted to resurrect you earlier and prevent you from being punished. The Heavenly Order would not punish you, but everything about Di Fuyi will be vanished, including all his credits…”

“Everyone wants to leave something in this world, even if it was a bad mark. It was good as long as people remember them. Sadly, he couldn’t leave anything here… Master, you shouldn’t hate him…”

The Firmament Stone quietly explained on behalf of Di Fuyi.

“Master, forget about him! You will soon forget all the memories you have with him. Keeping the memories would only make you suffer…”

“Master, you’re always an uncontrollable variable in the eyes of Heavenly Order. In fact, you should have forgotten about him since you came out of the forbidden land. I didn’t expect you to remember him still. Anyway, it wouldn’t be too long now as it’s impossible for you to fight against the heavenly laws. Have a good sleep, you will be a new person when you wake up, and you won’t remember this painful experience anymore!
