Genshin Impact: Joining the Genius Society

Chapter 208: Chapter 208: Asta’s Guarded Vigilance

”Oh my~ what a pleasant surprise~ We meet again, Miss Yelan.”

The person Yelan least wanted to see... had appeared once more.

And this time, there was no way to avoid it.

”If I had a choice, I really wouldn’t want to see you.”

Her worst fear had come true.

How long had it even been since she escaped that calamity?

And now she’d run into him again?!

”Listen to yourself—saying you don’t want to see me on my turf? Isn’t that a joke?”

Su Ran patted Yelan on the shoulder.

”I’m very optimistic about you. Keep up the good work”

Yelan: ”....”

After teasing Yelan to his heart’s content, Su Ran turned to Ningguang.

”I’ve opened up the basic facilities of the residential sector. From now on, as long as you prepare ingredients in advance, meals won’t be a problem. One week’s worth at a time is enough—just store them in the supply room.”

Ningguang was naturally pleased with the change, but she still raised a small concern.

”That is excellent. However... transporting ingredients would require manpower, which may become troublesome.”

The people she had brought with her were all trusted aides absolutely reliable.

But assigning them to transport food didn’t feel appropriate.

They were mostly administrative personnel, not exactly strong.

It would make things easier overall, yes,but someone would always end up acting as labor.

And that was exhausting.

”Not an issue. I’ll add a dedicated food-transport function to the teleport chamber. That’ll simplify things greatly. Stockpiling a month’s worth of food won’t be a problem.”

The teleport chamber’s capacity was sizable.

It could transport ten people at once—so moving ingredients was trivial.

If one trip wasn’t enough, just make a few more.

After all, the station was large enough.

Yelan found the whole conversation surreal.

In Liyue, transporting goods took a considerable amount of time.

Yet here—moving supplies from the surface to outer space required teleportation?

Liyue was still using carts and vehicles.

At this moment, she finally understood why Ningguang refused to let go of this opportunity.

Even if the partner was a Fatui Harbinger.

If it were her, she wouldn’t want to miss it either.

”With this, I won’t even need to return to the Jade Chamber.”

Ningguang was even more satisfied.

That meant more time to explore this vast place.

With advanced technology assisting her,she felt more motivated working here than ever.

She even began to understand the joy Keqing found in tireless work.

”When employees love their company, that’s a good thing. Just treat this place like home.”

Su Ran patted Ningguang’s shoulder approvingly.

He was very satisfied with such a hardworking employee.

”Next, I’ll take you to visit Herta Space Station, so you can learn about the culture of the outer world.”

Knowing what was about to happen,Ningguang felt her anticipation grow even stronger.

”Does Miss Yelan have anything else to attend to?”

Raiden Makoto was free for the moment, so bringing her along was no problem.

As for Yelan—if she was needed, bringing her wouldn’t hurt.

There was no downside anyway.

”Bring her. She’s very useful to me.”

Ningguang made the decision for her.

Seeing the world alone wouldn’t be enough—having Yelan along would at least give her company.

Yelan watched as a barrier-like interface suddenly appeared in front of Su Ran.

After he tapped it a few times—in the blink of an eye, her surroundings changed!

”What just happened?”

Yelan and Raiden Makoto—who had been teleported along with her—looked at each other.

After recognizing the confusion in each other’s eyes,Yelan’s confusion quickly turned into guilt.

Because Makoto looked identical to Ei,

Yelan had instinctively mistaken her for the Raiden Shogun.

The group had suddenly appeared inside Herta Space Station.

This immediately put many researchers on alert.

Herta Space Station was not a place anyone could enter freely.

Especially when no docking or login notification had been received.

Asta, who was nearby, arrived even faster.

Looking at the four unfamiliar figures before her,

she frowned deeply.

”Who are you? Herta Space Station has not received any entry request from you.”

This was a direct appearance on the station, no ship, no approach.

Asta immediately categorized them as intruders.

”Do I need to apply to come to Herta Space Station?”

This was Su Ran’s first time meeting Asta in person.

So it was natural that she didn’t recognize him.

”Regardless of who you are, anyone entering Lady Herta’s space station must apply!”

His casual attitude made Asta even more uneasy.

She deliberately invoked Herta’s name, hoping to intimidate them into retreating.

”Aren’t you supposed to be quite famous out in the universe?”

Ningguang tugged at Su Ran’s sleeve and whispered into his ear.

Judging by how tense the other side looked, there was zero respect on display.

She even saw someone draw a weapon.

This was nothing like what Su Ran had described, that all factions were desperate to obtain him.

”True—but other than Ruan Mei and Herta, no one knows my real appearance.”

Those two had seen his true form in the Simulated Universe.

Asta didn’t have access to that level so she naturally wouldn’t recognize him.

”Who is ’Ruan Mei’?”

”A genius whose name requires a very long pause in the middle.”

”...Another genius?”

”Birds of a feather flock together.”

What, geniuses can’t know other geniuses?

Is that a problem?

”Did we... trespass into someone else’s territory?”

Still unclear why she was here,

Raiden Makoto felt a little uneasy.

”I never trespass when I come to Herta Space Station.”

Su Ran denied it flatly.

Asta’s expression darkened.

”Everyone! Herta Space Station has not received your entry request! You are intruders!”

And also could you whisper more quietly?!

She heard everything!

And who exactly was that ”Ruan Mei”?

Why did it sound so familiar...?
