Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Sure enough, the world originally didn’t have roads, but as more people traveled, a road emerged.

No one in the wetland would bother to build a road, but leading to Mao Yao City, a makeshift path appeared, and the mud there has been trampled solid.

...

”This time, adventuring in Nine Beasts Mountain is an opportunity given by Mao Yao City to third-rank refugees. We brothers must seize this chance.”

”It’s not that easy. Nine Beasts Mountain only allows 500 third-rank refugees to enter, and finally, only 50 can get in. During the journey, who knows how many refugees will be killed by beasts. It’s like climbing the sky.”

”But this is an opportunity to get a city registration for Mao Yao City. We brothers must seize it at all costs.”

”Hope so, I’ve heard that even these 500 slots are hard to come by. Our level is really not promising!”

...

Su Yue was walking down the road with an iron rod wrapped in leaves on his shoulder.

He moved quickly and soon caught up with two third-rank Yangxiang Race members ahead.

These two guys didn’t look good; they were wounded, dirty, one head was particularly large, and the other had a hunchback.

Very weak third-ranks.

Su Yue originally wasn’t interested in dealing with these two losers, but their conversation piqued his interest.

”Brothers, you mentioned Nine Beasts Mountain in Mao Yao City and city registration, what’s going on?”

Su Yue approached and asked politely.

He had previously heard Gao Xingzhong explain the situation in Mao Yao City.

For third-rank foreign refugees like them, they basically had no qualifications to enter Mao Yao City, and the minimum entry standard was at least fourth-rank.

But even fourth-grade Yangxiang Race didn’t have any high status. Like second-class citizens, they were the ones sent to die in battles.

As for third-rank refugees like them, they could only camp on the outskirts at Chaotic Camp Mountain, never able to enjoy the relatively comfortable and dry environment inside the city, let alone any special benefits Mao Yao City offered.

City registration was as crucial as household registration.

Better to probe for some information first.

Su Yue was in a good mood today, not interested in killing anyone; he intended to relax and cultivate.

These two brothers were lucky.

”Yo, big brother, did you see that? This guy’s wearing leather boots.”

However, Su Yue didn’t get a direct answer at all.

The two Yangxiang Race members instead looked at Su Yue with a predatory gaze, particularly at his boots.

In the wetland, leather boots were hard currency; low-level aliens generally didn’t possess them.

The ground here was muddy, and although Martial Artists wouldn’t get their feet rot, wearing leather boots was definitely more comfortable.

Su Yue’s boots were taken from one of Zi Zhen’s fourth-grade subordinates, which he had to bake clean using the Flame Divine Scripture.

Although wearing someone else’s shoes was off-putting, in the wetland one couldn’t afford to be particular.

While speaking, the two Yangxiang Race slowly surrounded Su Yue.

”Kid, want to get some information?

”First take off those boots and call us your ancestors. We might consider letting you go.”

The hunchbacked alien grinned sinisterly.

”What’s that rod on your shoulder, unwrap those leaves for me.”

The big-headed alien frowned.

This third-rank wasn’t simple.

Although he was only at the beginning stage of third-rank, his boots were genuine Mao Yao City goods, bought at a hefty price for sure.

The rod on his shoulder was likely no ordinary item either.

A fortune to be made.

”Two friends, do I look... particularly easy to bully?”

Inside, Su Yue felt countless profanities.

Damn, I’m just asking for directions, yet someone wants to rob me.

Does the Yangxiang Race really look this cowardly?

Should I give myself a few scars to look fiercer?

”It’s not that you’re easy to bully, it’s that us brothers are too strong.

”Coming along this way, we’ve already robbed over a dozen refugees. You are the weakest.”

The hunchbacked alien boasted proudly.

The big-headed alien was awkward, thinking his brother was exaggerating too much.

The truth was they’d been robbed over 20 times themselves along the way, and they only had leaves left around their waists.

Now that they’ve finally come across an easy prey, they weren’t about to let it go.

”Then why do you both have bruised faces?

”And where are the things you robbed?”

Su Yue asked confusedly.

He realized these were just two cowards, who bullied the weak and feared the strong.

He’d been mistaken for easy prey.

”Stop the nonsense... take those boots off immediately.”

The hunchbacked alien was so angry his face turned red.

It was embarrassing to have been seen through by this coward.

”Come into the forest to talk; there might be others passing by. Hard-earned boots might get snatched right away.”

Su Yue chuckled helplessly.

Why did he encounter these two clowns?

Su Yue sighed, leaving the path and heading into the grove without looking back.

”Hey... stop, we’re robbing here. Can you be serious?”

Seeing Su Yue leave calmly, the hunchbacked alien yelled angrily.

This coward didn’t even see him, the brutal bandit.

Am I not intimidating enough to frighten him?

Should he really make a move?

But making a move might reveal our facade.

”Stop.”

The big-headed alien quickly caught up, preparing Qi blood in his palms.

Though they were cowards, they couldn’t show weakness in momentum.

...

Three minutes later!

”Spare us, ancestors, we will never dare again!”

”Spare us, ancestors, we promise to behave ourselves and never rob again.”

The two aliens were hung upside down from a tree, swaying in the wind, each tied with a vine around their necks.
