Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf

Chapter 155: Chapter 135 Hunting the White Whale, Wolf Pack Report._3

Now, gazing at the massive White Whale carcass, a pair of Wolf Eyes brimmed with reverence.

They knew that their Wolf King’s strength had probably surpassed the range of their understanding.

But deep inside, they felt an even greater sense of surprise and joy.

For oftentimes, it was only under the leadership of a powerful Wolf King that a Wolf Pack could better survive the cruelty of nature.

Currently, more than twenty members of the Wolf Clan were struggling to drag this enormous White Whale carcass behind them.

The White Whale carcass weighed over a ton, which meant that the food supply in the Wolf Pack would increase considerably.

This spurred many from the Wolf Clan to drag it even more diligently,

hoping to show off a little in front of the Wolf King, who could perhaps reward them with some extra food.

On the way back to the den, Su Lin listened to Xiao Hui and Cousin’s reports.

He roughly understood the current situation of the Wolf Pack.

The few members of the Bear Clan within the Wolf Pack Territory seemed to stay in line, hunting within their own territories.

They made way, avoiding conflict, whenever they encountered prey that would lead to confrontation with the Wolf Pack.

After all, the bloodshed and slaughter that had occurred in the area recently,

had taught these rather intelligent members of the Bear Clan that this was no longer their world.

The Hunters like the Lynx and the Arctic Fox had also become increasingly adept at hiding and lying in ambush.

Normally, they would not venture out to hunt unless necessary, not wishing to conflict with the Wolf Pack.

The prey within the Wolf Pack Territory had mostly recovered their vitality.

Groups like the Musk Ox Group, Reindeer Group, and Moose Herd, were reproducing and thriving normally.

However, due to a rare blizzard delay, these species had no intent to migrate yet.

The Arctic was already within the period of polar night,

and it wouldn’t take more than a month or two for true polar night to descend upon the region.

Staying was best. Even if they did migrate, Su Lin would lead the Wolf Pack to herd them back.

Because with the great changes in the world, going elsewhere would just make them the Blood Food of other Hunters and Variant Species.

It would be better to serve as food for the Wolf Pack.

As for whether these large herbivorous species could survive the scarcity of moss and shrubs during the polar night—

when they could no longer hold out, Su Lin would lead the Wolf Pack to hunt them down early.

Nature has always been merciless, survival of the fittest, the strongest preying upon the weak.

Having listened to the reports along the way, Su Lin returned to the Wolf Pack’s den.

The massive White Whale carcass was barely dragged up with the combined efforts of Xiao Hui and Cousin.

The den was very spacious,

and despite Su Lin’s seven-to-eight-meter frame and the increase in the number of the Wolf Pack, it was not crowded in the slightest.

If it were Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom’s den, Su Lin of his current size would probably not be able to fit in now!

After returning to the den, Su Lin leaped up and placed the three petals of the Ice Mountain Lotus Flower into a recess on the high wall.

These three petals contained abundant Pure Energy, attractive to any species,

Placing them high up out of sight of the Wolf Pack members meant there would be no unnecessary thoughts.

Next,

having situated the three Ice Mountain Lotus Petals, Su Lin also began to consider the situation of Little Lone Wolf.

In the recent reports from Xiao Hui and Cousin, it had been half a month since any news from Little Lone Wolf had come through.

Nor had there been any messages about the various prey slaughtered and the expansion of the Wolf Pack Territory, instructing the Wolf Pack to move in and take over.

It seemed almost as if Little Lone Wolf had set himself up as king over there!

Even just a few days ago, Xiao Hui had sneakily visited that territory and discovered that Little Lone Wolf’s command over a Wolf Pack had already soared to over a hundred members!

Xiao Hui had never before seen such a large number of the Wolf Clan.

The once comparable in strength to Xiao Hui, Little Lone Wolf, was now emitting an aura of ferocity that was aggressively on the rise.

It triggered Xiao Hui’s sixth sense to madly signal danger, indicating that Little Lone Wolf’s strength had far surpassed its own.

Variant Species, in their early stages, could grow rapidly with the infusion of Pure Energy.

It was apparent that Little Lone Wolf must have had some kind of adventure in the large Wolf Pack Territory.

But the sense of smell and hearing of the Wolf Clan were extremely sharp.

If Xiao Hui could discover Little Lone Wolf, it also meant that Little Lone Wolf had noticed it.

Not detaining Xiao Hui indicated that Little Lone Wolf harbored no ulterior motives.

Otherwise, with the hundred-strong Wolf Clan under Little Lone Wolf’s command and its own fierce fighting power, Xiao Hui wouldn’t have had enough lives to escape if it wanted!

However, if Little Lone Wolf had indeed been inflated by its growing strength and become deluded into thinking it could split off on its own,

Su Lin wouldn’t mind teaching it a lesson about what rules meant!

If in the past he could rescue Little Lone Wolf, severely injured and on the brink of death during the polar night, and help it rise to a position in the Wolf Pack just below his own, he certainly could take back all of that as well.

At this moment, Su Lin stood at the mouth of the den, looking up towards the west with golden-brown Wolf Eyes that narrowed slightly, revealing a hint of dangerous intent.
