Global Lords: Starting with Halving Recruitment Costs

Chapter 29

Chapter 29

Sure enough, upon hearing his reply, the elf raised the long sword in his hand.

”You came just in time. Evil forces have invaded the forest. As a member of the forest, you cannot avoid it.”

”We are not yet ready for a decisive battle, but the vanguard of evil forces is approaching.

You should lead a team to clean them up this time. Of course, there are more of them than your soldiers, so it doesn’t matter even if they can’t be cleaned up. ”

”Of course, I didn’t let you contribute in vain. Have you seen the altar over there? This is the altar of nature.

The priests under the Goddess of the Forest set up here, as long as the creatures who have contributed to the protection of the forest can come forward to worship. ”

”Depending on how much merit you have, you can get various good things.”

Guo Xiuwen looked over there, but was first attracted by the camps of various arms that were also established there.

Because he could see clearly that every few minutes, druids, elf archers, etc. would come out of the camps of different shapes.

Then he noticed the altar surrounded by barracks.

[Ding, do you accept the mission - annihilation!
Evil forces have invaded the barren forest. As a member of the forest forces, you can gain merit by killing the evil forces. If you accumulate more than 10 merit points, you can worship the natural altar.

When worshiping, the more meritorious deeds you invest in the altar, the higher the chance of getting the gift of the forest goddess. 】

Seeing that the task actually appeared, Guo Xiuwen did not hesitate and chose to accept it.

”Very well, I did not misunderstand you, young lord, my name is Lucien, if you and I can survive this invasion of evil forces, I will visit your territory as a guest.”

”Okay, welcome!”

Hearing what the other party said, Guo Xiuwen smiled and agreed.

Although he couldn’t see the attributes of these creatures, he could guess that the deformed ones were druids, and the ones with human-like facial features were forest guards.
He has some doubts. Among these soldiers, the lowest strength is estimated to be at the Bronze rank, and may even be stronger.

Lucien can command so many druids, forest guards, elf archers and night messengers present, Guo Xiuwen guessed that the other party is probably a legendary hero.

Although I don’t know whether this trial is virtual or real, and what the other party said is a bit unlucky.

But there may be a hero who promises to come to his territory, even if he is just a guest, and of course he is satisfied.

”Go forward for a certain distance, that side has been occupied by evil forces, you should be careful when you lead the team there, evil forces are not so easy to deal with.”

Lucien stretched out his finger to the forest ahead, with a serious look on his face.

Guo Xiuwen was also a little curious about what the evil force the other party was talking about.

In addition, he had reminded that there was no loss in death before he came in anyway, so he stopped hesitating and led the team over there.

Walking on the road, Guo Xiuwen found something different.

Although the forest here still has towering old trees, there are countless layers of fallen leaves and dead branches underground. Shrubs and weeds grow freely in the rotten layer of the jungle. If there were not specially opened roads, he and the soldiers would not even be able to walk. It’s all very difficult.

Based on his limited knowledge of botany, he guessed that the environment in the primeval forest should be similar to that here.

But his territory is obviously in the forest, but the maps he opened these days are quite far away, but walking in it, the situation in the forest is inexplicably weird.

As he walked, Guo Xiuwen saw the environment he was familiar with a few days ago.

The decay layer in front disappeared, and the weeds and shrubs on the ground also decreased by [-]%. Except for the same towering ancient trees, the environment in the forest is completely different.

Guo Xiuwen finally saw the true face of the evil forces in Lucien’s mouth.

【Skull Warrior】

If the number of your own soldiers is greater than or equal to 200, the resurrection rate of all skeleton units on the field will increase by 30% after death, and the attack power will increase by 10%. )
Introducing: Death. Just the Beginning!
Now Guo Xiuwen finally knew the true colors of the guy who got out of the ground every night and danced in his territory after midnight.

These skeletons have different shapes, some hold knives, some hold guns, and the strength gaps are also different.

However, Guo Xiuwen took a look and found that the most powerful attribute of the skeletons wandering in the front did not break through 2 points.

But the undead tribe, let alone the combat power, the number is astonishing enough. He stood in place and looked forward. As far as he could see, there were probably more than a thousand.

That’s all, it’s just what he saw, let alone what he didn’t see.

Is this just a little bit more? ? ?

Guo Xiuwen suddenly discovered that not only were goblins rubbish, but elves were also average in mathematics. They must have not had nine-year compulsory education.

Now he finally understood why Lucien and the others were so strong, yet they were still beaten back by these guys.

First of all, these are just the undead. In addition to these vanguards, there must be stronger existences behind them.

Coupled with the fact that undead creatures do not need to rest and have no logistical pressure, it is no wonder that the forest forces will fail.

Yes, Guo Xiuwen thought of the situation in the forests around his territory, and he already guessed that the forest forces must be at a disadvantage, not to mention a complete failure.

Before, he thought that apart from the ancient trees, the ground was empty because the plants could not grab the sunlight.

Now it seems that it is probably because it has been occupied by the undead.

However, whoever wins and loses between the forest forces and the undead forces has little to do with him for the time being.

Guo Xiuwen is more concerned about how meritorious service is calculated.

Thinking of this, he commanded a gray wolf of bronze rank, quietly approached the periphery, and directly threw down one of the lonely skeletons.

click-

The gray wolf’s powerful force directly pressed the skeleton to the ground, and several bones on its body were broken.

Then, without waiting for the skeleton to fight back, it swung its claws, directly crushing the skull’s head, and dispelling the opponent’s soul fire.

[Kill the LV1 ordinary skeleton! 】

[Gain 1 points of experience! 】

[Get meritorious service 0.01!Accumulated meritorious service 0.01! 】

It is not uncommon for a Bronze-rank gray wolf to sneak attack an ordinary-rank skeleton.

But seeing the harvest, Guo Xiuwen sighed first.

Killing a skeleton is only worth 0.01 points of merit. He needs to kill 10 skeletons to get a minimum of 1000 points of merit.

But then, his eyes lit up.

Because it seems that the system is missing a prompt.

He took another look at the experience, and because he was worried, he deliberately found another skeleton that was alone, and arranged for a gray wolf to rush out.
