Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

177: Chapter 177 Chasing the Light in the Snow MountainEarly on the third morning, before the sky was fully bright, the two of them packed up and set off.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain has a high altitude, and the weather is cool in the morning, making it suitable for mountain climbing.

Getting into the car, Liu Yifei leaned on Chen Mo’s shoulder and yawned; Liu Yifei, who usually slept until she woke up naturally, had gotten up early today.

About an hour later, the car arrived at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Looking from afar, the mountain range undulated, its peaks covered in white snow like a giant silver dragon coiled among the mountains, majestic and awe-inspiring.

The mist swirled through the mountains, hazy and mysterious, as if they were in a fairyland.

”Wow, so this is Jade Dragon Snow Mountain! It’s so spectacular!”

Liu Yifei pushed open the car door, looked at the snowy mountain before her, and couldn’t help but exclaim:

”It’s even more beautiful than what I saw online. The pure white snow is truly shocking; I’ve never seen such a beautiful snowy mountain.”

Looking at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Liu Yifei couldn’t wait to climb it and experience its magnificence up close.

Chen Mo smiled, took her hand, and said:

”Don’t rush. Let’s take the cableway up the mountain first. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain has a high altitude, and climbing it directly would be very tiring and could easily cause altitude sickness. The cableway goes straight to the mountainside, and from there we can walk up slowly. This way, we can save energy and gradually adapt to the altitude.”

”Okay, I’ll listen to you.”

Liu Yifei nodded and said.

Then she turned around and said to Chen Mo:

”Will I get altitude sickness?”

Chen Mo reassured her:

”I’ve prepared altitude sickness medication and oxygen tanks for you. If you feel uncomfortable, just tell me. We’ll walk slowly, no rush.”

”Besides, the scenery of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is so beautiful; it’s worth taking our time to appreciate it.”

The two of them bought cableway tickets and boarded. As the cableway slowly ascended, the scenery below gradually grew smaller, and the distant snowy mountains drew closer.

Liu Yifei leaned closely against Chen Mo. She was a bit nervous at first, but as she looked at the scenery outside the window, she gradually relaxed, her eyes full of joy.

”Look, the scenery below is so beautiful!”

Liu Yifei pointed out the window and said softly:

”Green mountains, white clouds, and the distant villages—it’s like an ink wash painting. It’s so pretty.”

”Yeah, the scenery of the snowy mountains... no matter how much you look, you can’t get enough.”

Chen Mo said with a smile:

”When we get to the mountainside, we’ll also go to Blue Moon Valley. The water there is blue and complements the snowy mountains beautifully. There are also yaks; we can ride them and take photos.”

”Really? There’s a Blue Moon Valley? And we can ride yaks?”

Liu Yifei’s eyes lit up, and she said excitedly:

”That’s great! I’ve wanted to ride a yak and take photos for a long time, and I didn’t expect to see blue lake water too.”

Ten-odd minutes later, the cableway reached the mountainside. As they got off, a blast of icy mountain wind hit them, much cooler than at the foot of the mountain.

Liu Yifei quickly wrapped her coat tighter around her. Chen Mo handed her a scarf and said:

”It’s colder up here than down below. Wear more so you don’t catch a cold.”

”I know!”

Liu Yifei stuck her tongue out at Chen Mo and took the scarf to wrap it around her neck:

”Let’s go to Blue Moon Valley first, okay? I want to see the blue lake water first.”

”Okay, I’ll listen to you.”

Chen Mo took her hand and walked toward Blue Moon Valley.

The scenery along the way was magnificent. The vegetation by the roadside was covered in a thin layer of snow, while the distant snowy mountains towered majestically amidst the swirling mist. Occasionally, a few birds could be seen flying past, adding a touch of vitality.

After walking for ten-odd minutes, the two finally arrived at Blue Moon Valley.

The scenery before them instantly stunned Liu Yifei.

The lake water was a pure azure blue, like a massive sapphire embedded at the foot of the snowy mountain. The water was crystal clear, revealing the pebbles at the bottom. The reflection of the snowy mountain shimmered in the lake; the mountains and water complemented each other, creating an indescribable beauty.

”It’s so beautiful! Is this Blue Moon Valley? The water really is blue!”

Liu Yifei crouched down and reached out to gently touch the water. She said with a smile:

”It’s even more beautiful than I imagined, just like a fairyland. It’s amazing.”

”Yes. The reason the water in Blue Moon Valley is blue is that the meltwater from the snowy mountain’s ice and snow is filtered through rock layers, making the water quality pure. Combined with the refraction of sunlight, it takes on this azure blue color.”

Chen Mo crouched beside her and said with a smile:

”Furthermore, the water here is blue all year round. No matter when you come, you can see such beautiful scenery.”

The two spent a long time exploring Blue Moon Valley and taking commemorative photos. Liu Yifei specifically asked Chen Mo to take many photos of her with the snowy mountain and the lake in the frame, her smile never fading.

After touring Blue Moon Valley, they slowly walked up the mountain along the plank path, admiring the magnificent scenery of the snowy mountain and occasionally stopping to rest.

”Chen Mo, look! There are yaks over there!”

Liu Yifei pointed not far away and said excitedly:

”Let’s go ride the yaks and take photos, okay?”

”Okay.”

Chen Mo nodded with a smile and led her by the hand to the yaks.

After talking with the herder...

Chen Mo helped Liu Yifei onto a yak and draped a Tibetan-style cloak over her.

The herder nearby said with a smile:

”Young lady, sit tight. I’ll take a photo for you.”

Liu Yifei sat on the yak with a happy smile on her face. Chen Mo stood beside her, holding the yak’s reins. The herder pressed the shutter, capturing this beautiful moment.

After the photo was taken, Liu Yifei got down from the yak and said to Chen Mo with a smile:

”I’m so happy! I finally got to ride a yak, and with the snowy mountain in the background too. I must keep this photo safe.”

”Don’t worry, I’ve already saved it for you.”

Chen Mo said with a smile:

”Let’s walk up a bit further to the viewing platform. You can see the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from there; the view is even more spectacular.”

The two slowly walked to the viewing platform. Standing there, the main peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was fully visible; the main peak, Shanzidou, reaches an altitude of 5,596 meters.

Liu Yifei leaned into Chen Mo’s arms, looked at the snowy mountain before her, and said softly, ”It’s so magnificent. Standing here, I feel so small. Nature is truly amazing.”

”Yes, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the sacred mountain of the naxi ethnic group and one of the most beautiful snowy mountains in the Dragon Kingdom.”

Chen Mo said, holding her gently.

A satisfied smile appeared on Liu Yifei’s face:

”Mm, I’m truly so happy. In these past two days, we’ve visited Mu Mansion, Five Phoenixes Tower, and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Every bit of scenery has been so beautiful. This trip to Lijiang has been so worth it. Thank you, Chen Mo, for staying by my side.”

”Why are you being so polite with me?”

Chen Mo ruffled her hair and said with a smile:

”As long as you’re happy. Let’s explore the snowy mountain for a while longer. At noon, we’ll go down to eat some local specialties, and in the afternoon, we’ll head back to the Banyan Tree, okay?”

”Sure, sure!”

Liu Yifei nodded and said.
