Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

76: Chapter 76 Amassing BillionsThe next afternoon, Chen Mo was bored in his office playing the game pubg.

”Chen Mo, Ruoshui, where should we drop?” Ling Jing’s voice came.

”Anywhere is fine, just jump wherever!” Chen Mo replied.

The three of them parachuted straight to the Allen Grid Airport. Chen Mo landed and immediately picked up an M416 and a holographic sight.

Just as he turned, he saw a person dart out from behind a container. Chen Mo lightly clicked the mouse, aligning the holographic sight with the enemy’s head. With a ”bang,” it was a headshot.

”Holy crap! Chen Mo is amazing!” Ling Jing could only win if she followed Chen Mo.

Ling Jing quickly ran over to loot the supplies dropped by the enemy.

”CEO Chen, I picked up painkillers and 5.56 ammo for you. Take them quickly!”

Nalan Ruoshui also threw the scope she picked up onto the ground for Chen Mo:

”CEO Chen, a four-times scope, it’s a perfect match for your M416.”

Chen Mo took the scope, quickly installed and adjusted it. Just then, he heard footsteps in his headset. He sidestepped and hid behind the container, predicted the enemy’s movement, poked his head out, fired a shot, and scored another headshot.

”There are two more on the left. Ling Jing, throw a smoke grenade to cover me.”

”Okay!” Upon hearing this, Ling Jing immediately threw a smoke grenade, and white smoke instantly filled the area.

Chen Mo used the smoke cover to quickly push forward. A series of gunshots rang out, and the third and fourth enemies fell.

At this moment, Ling Jing’s live stream public screen was densely packed with bullet comments scrolling wildly:

”WTF WTF WTF! Who is this? One shot per little kid, isn’t that too fierce!”

”The one upstairs is too ignorant! Isn’t this CEO Chen from our Tianxing Technology? The legendary hidden big shot!”

”CEO Chen’s marksmanship is superb! You can’t achieve this without playing a few thousand matches!”

Good heavens! If Chen Mo saw this comment, he would definitely retort that this is talent (System, Deep Blue, Add Points).

”Others rely on hiding to win pubg; CEO Chen relies on killing! This is a true master!”

”The little streamer and her little sister are providing full logistics the whole time, and CEO Chen carries the entire game. This team composition is too ridiculous!”

”CEO Chen not only understands finance and runs businesses, but he’s also this good at gaming? Isn’t heaven too biased?”

”I was stunned watching that predicted movement just now! The enemy didn’t even have time to react before they were gone!”

”Please have CEO Chen start streaming! I’ll wait every day just to learn this marksmanship!”

”CEO Chen’s hand speed and reaction time are even better than a professional player’s, right?”

”The little streamer has latched onto CEO Chen’s thigh again this time! Following CEO Chen means a guaranteed win in pubg!”

”Who would have thought that the big shot dominating the finance, internet, and technology circles would also be so fierce in gaming? The contrast is maxed out!”

”That smoke grenade coordination just now was practically flawless; CEO Chen’s command was spot on!”

”CEO Chen yyds! Possessing both business acumen and gaming talent, he’s too cool!”

”Little streamer, hurry up and ask CEO Chen to shoot a few more rounds, I haven’t had enough!”

”With CEO Chen’s marksmanship, clearing the airport shouldn’t be a problem, right? Looking forward to a full-squad win!”

Chen Mo led Ling Jing and Nalan Ruoshui through the entire battlefield, successfully winning the game.

Just then, there was a knock on the office door.

”Come in.”

He then said to Nalan Ruoshui and Ling Jing,

”I have to log off first; I have some work that needs handling!”

”Okay, Brother Chen Mo, you go ahead and be busy!” Nalan Ruoshui’s voice came.

”Okay, Chen Mo!” Ling Jing responded.

Chen Mo looked up. Li Yue walked in holding a tablet.

”Is there some news!?”

Li Yue replied:

”CEO Chen, East Ocean’s trade deficit for October was 1.0919 trillion yen, marking 16 consecutive months of deficit, setting a new historical record! Energy imports surged by 26%, while exports completely tanked!”

”The nikkei 225 directly plunged to 13,500 points! The usd broke 98! The yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds was pulled up to 0.8%, leading to a bond price collapse! We’ve reached our target level!”

Chen Mo stood up:

”Let’s go to the trading room.”

Trading Room.

As soon as he entered, he heard the sound of keyboards clicking.

Chen Mo looked at the data on the big screen, his brain calculating rapidly.

He then gave the order:

”Liquidate everything!”

At his command, all the traders immediately sprang into action.

”The short positions on the nikkei 225 futures, the long positions on usd, the short positions on 10-year Japanese government bonds—close them all out at once, no phasing, no hesitation, no remaining positions!”

”Understood! Executing market price liquidation, hedging liquidity, avoiding slippage impact!”

The traders didn’t pause for a moment, furiously tapping their keyboards.

”Nikkei short order sent for closing!”

”Yen long order filled!”

”All Japanese bond short positions exited!”

”Margin released completely!”

”Risk exposure zeroed out!”

A long half hour passed.

Zhao Yuan held up the printed settlement statement:

”CEO Chen! All liquidation is complete!”

”Principal was 2 billion US dollars, 10 times leverage. After deducting funding costs, commissions, taxes... Net profit: 10 billion US dollars!”

”It’s a five-fold increase! We can say we bloodied the East Ocean financial market!”

Li Yue was completely shocked.

Old Xu, who constantly followed Chen Mo, also twitched his eyes!

He knew all of Chen Mo’s recent operations; it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say he was making a fortune, dealing in units of hundreds of millions at every turn!

Chen Mo just glanced faintly at the report:

”It was within expectations.”

Then Chen Mo issued a new directive:

”Take 1 billion US dollars and go long on the nikkei 225 in reverse. us stocks will hit a new high by the end of the month and will pull Japanese stocks up for a rebound. We’ll pick up some small money. Build the position in batches; don’t draw attention.”

”Understood!”

That evening, when everything settled down.

Li Yue said to Chen Mo:

”CEO Chen! There’s news coming from overseas websites! Bloomberg, Reuters, and Nikkei News are all reporting: Mysterious foreign capital maliciously shorted East Ocean! The Bank of Japan is shouting about a thorough investigation, and even Wall Street is guessing who did it. No one expected it to be us!”

Chen Mo gave a cold laugh:

”It’s best if they can’t guess. It’s better to make a fortune quietly. But they aren’t fools; they will know it was us soon enough!”

”So what if they know! We are no longer in the era of the Manchus back then! If the invaders can go, so can we!”

”Let them come find me if they have the guts!”

At this moment, the entire internet was buzzing:

[Finance Hot Topic No. 1: East Ocean Financial Market Suffers Epic Collapse]

[Nikkei 225 Plunges Over 6% in a Single Day, Marking Largest Drop in Two Years]

[Yen Appreciates Wildly, Bank of Japan’s Verbal Intervention Proves Completely Ineffective]

[Trade Deficit Explodes, Abenomics Completely Flops]

The stock forums, bulletin boards, finance groups, and Weibo were all flooded with posts:

”WTF! Who did this? This is rubbing East Ocean’s face on the ground!”

”Nikkei dropped from 14,800 to 13,500. Whoever shorted this wave made a killing!”

”The yen dropped from 104 to 98; the long positions took off directly!”

”The Bank of Japan says it wants stability? Is it useful? The market completely ignores it!”

”Is this a national-level harvest? Too ruthless!”

”Who could precisely bet on the triple negative factors of the Federal Reserve tapering QE, downward revision of GDP, and trade deficit? This must be a god!”

”Little East Ocean used to harvest Asia; today, they got harvested. Awesome!”

”Who is this mysterious capital? Please educate us!”

”There’s been a wave of forced liquidations at Nomura Securities. I heard one big shot was directly hospitalized!”

”From this wave, they must have earned at least a few billion US dollars...”

”More than that! I think it’s in the tens of billions!”

”Just a passerby, but do you think it’s possible CEO Chen did it!?”

”Huh? It’s possible! Only CEO Chen has this capability!”

”Holy crap, in that case, I must kowtow to CEO Chen! Well done!”

Li Yue scrolled through her phone and chuckled:

”CEO Chen, some netizens have guessed it was you.”

Chen Mo heard this and smiled without saying anything.

The story splits into two threads, each telling its own part.

East Ocean, Kyoto Hospital Ward.

Sato Kenichi awoke from his coma, his face pale.

His assistant reported:

”Sato-san, we are completely finished.”

”Your account has been liquidated, all assets seized. Nomura has fired you and is seeking accountability. You are now in debt by billions of yen, expelled from the financial circle, and your passport has been restricted...”

Sato Kenichi, just regaining consciousness, spat out a mouthful of 1982 vintage blood and collapsed back onto the hospital bed.

Seeing Sato Kenichi’s state, the assistant made the sign of the cross on his chest. Seeing that no one else was around, he took off the Rolex watch and gold ring Sato Kenichi was wearing.

Then he left without looking back.

He possessed the air of someone who could elegantly brush off his sleeves without taking away a single cloud.
