Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

75: Chapter 75 Unrealized Profit of 2.5 BillionAfter finishing their steak, Chen Mo and Wu Dongju strolled back leisurely. The moment the door closed behind them, Wu Dongju leaned lightly against it, looking up at him.

”Chen Mo, I need to tell you something.”

Her voice carried a serious tone.

Chen Mo asked, puzzled:

”What’s going on?”

”The family called today. Some people in the Wu Family want to get involved in Fetion. They said they want to send a few people into the management, into operations and finance.”

Wu Dongju hesitated for a moment before speaking.

”I refused outright.”

Fetion had always been under Wu Xue’s control, and the authority for appointments at the mid-level and above rested solely with Chen Mo. Not only did she lack the authority to agree, but even if she did, she couldn’t possibly consent.

She knew the true nature of some people all too well. If she agreed and then they went to whisper in Chen Mo’s ear, she’d probably lose her position as the live-streaming department head as well.

Chen Mo’s eyes narrowed slightly for a moment before relaxing again.

Fetion was the core of his mobile internet strategy, the entry point for traffic, and his future trump card.

Their scheming was so blatant, the abacus beads were practically flying into Chen Mo’s face!

Chen Mo took her hand and led her toward the living room, saying as they walked:

”I see. You did well!”

Wu Dongju’s tone turned coquettish as she tugged on Chen Mo’s arm, seeking praise:

”Of course! I’m on your side. Seeing how sensible and obedient I am, you have to listen to me tonight, okay?”

As soon as the words left her mouth, she gave a little push, sending Chen Mo tumbling onto the leather sofa behind him.

The atmosphere instantly heated up, ambiguity spreading like water. Their breaths intertwined as the night deepened.

At this moment, Chen Mo paid no heed to the world outside his window, his focus entirely on the ’sage’s book’ before him!

The next morning, at Tianxing Technology headquarters, top-floor trading room.

On over a dozen large screens, the hang seng index, nikkei 225, usd, and Japanese bond yields were all fluctuating wildly, red and green numbers flashing incessantly.

Chen Mo pushed the door open and entered.

Seeing Chen Mo arrive, Zhao Yuan said:

”Boss Chen! You’re here! All market data is updated. Let me report the real-time figures!”

Chen Mo’s gaze shifted to the large screens:

”Go ahead.”

”The nikkei 225 dipped slightly overnight, currently at 14,800 points;

usd continues to appreciate from 104.5, now at 103;

All our positions are holding steady. The account’s overall paper profit is currently 200 million usd.”

Chen Mo gave a slight nod, scanned the K-line charts, and then said:

”Continue executing according to the original plan. The plan remains unchanged.”

”Understood!”

Not long after, Li Yue also entered the trading room.

Li Yue addressed Chen Mo:

”Boss Chen! Urgent news! Federal Reserve officials just gave a public speech, clearly signaling a tapering of QE in December! Global usd is flowing back, and things are already moving here in East Ocean!”

Chen Mo, already aware of the situation, nodded and said:

”Mhm, I know.”

”The Nikkei is already plunging now!”

Li Yue pointed at the large screen, saying

”The nikkei 225 has smashed straight through 14,500 points! Panic selling is starting! Funds over in East Ocean are already in a frenzy!”

Everyone in the trading room was waiting for Chen Mo’s order.

Chen Mo, with his plan ready, immediately commanded:

”All Nikkei short positions, continue holding. No closing of positions is allowed! Wait for the GDP data to land before detonating it!

usd long positions, increase by 20% immediately. Ride the momentum upward, leave no breathing room for the opponents!”

”Understood!”

The traders rapidly typed on their keyboards, executing the orders.

2:00 PM sharp.

The final value for East Ocean’s Q3 GDP was officially announced.

Li Yue stared at the data terminal, saw the numbers, and looked up at Chen Mo:

”Boss Chen! GDP bomb! Significantly revised downward, far below market expectations!”

On the large screen, the nikkei 225 plummeted in a straight line, crashing down like a cliff!

”Boss Chen! The Nikkei 225 plunged 4% in a single day, directly hitting 14,400 points!”

”The yen appreciated 2% today, usd broke through the 101 mark!”

Chen Mo stared at the market, his tone calm:

”Steady, no need to rush. Keep the pressure on. Wait until the Nikkei falls near 14,000 points, then reduce a small amount of the position to lock in some profit. Don’t exit all at once.”

”Yes!”

Five minutes later, Zhao Yuan looked at the settlement panel and said to Chen Mo:

”Boss Chen!

Nikkei 225 short positions, paper profit of 1.2 billion usd!

Yen long positions, paper profit of 800 million usd!

Total paper profit of 2 billion usd!”

At that moment, Li Yue suddenly spoke up from the side:

”The Bank of Japan can’t sit still anymore. They just started verbal intervention on the exchange rate, saying they’ll sell yen to stabilize its value!”

Chen Mo let out a cold laugh on the spot, saying disdainfully:

”Verbal intervention? Worthless.

Traders, add to yen long positions against the trend. Eat up all the positions following the yen short!

I want our opponents to see with their own eyes who truly rules this financial battlefield!”

”Yes!”

At the same time, Tokyo, East Ocean, Nomura Securities headquarters, private trading room.

The room was in disarray, the screens filled with red crashlines.

Sato Kenichi’s face was flushed with anger.

He had secretly mortgaged assets, positioned long on the Nikkei and short on the yen, hoping to make a big profit riding the Federal Reserve’s expectations. Instead, he got completely wiped out.

”Bakayarou!”

Sato Kenichi roared furiously.

His assistant nearby didn’t dare speak loudly:

”Sato-san, it’s no use. The Nikkei is still falling, the yen is still rising.

Our account... lost tens of billions of yen. It’s completely liquidated. The forced liquidation notice has already come...”

Sato Kenichi stared at the ever-expanding loss figures on the screen. His vision went dark, and he spat out a mouthful of vintage 82-year-old blood.

Then he collapsed softly onto the floor of the trading room.

Market close in the afternoon.

Cheers erupted in the Tianxing trading room.

Zhao Yuan looked at the post-close data:

”Boss Chen! The market is closed!

The Nikkei 225 closed at 14,300 points!

usd closed at 100.5!

Our total account paper profit has reached 2.5 billion usd!

The Bank of Japan’s verbal intervention completely failed! Market panic is still spreading widely!”

Everyone looked at Chen Mo with pure admiration in their eyes.

Chen Mo stared at the K-lines on the large screen:

”This is no time for excitement. That’s just paper profit, numbers on a screen. The real show is just beginning.”

He then continued:

”Wait until the East Ocean trade deficit data is announced. That’s when we’ll truly harvest and leave them with nothing.”
