Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

74: Chapter 74 Laying Out Plans in JapanIn the office, Chen Mo sat behind his desk. On the computer screen in front of him were the preliminary coordination documents for Tianxing Security’s registration. After confirming the relevant materials for the initial qualification review, he sent them to Li Yue and stretched.

Just as he closed the page, his phone rang.

He picked it up to see a WeChat message from Wu Dongju, accompanied by a selfie with a wrinkled nose, captioned:

”Chen Mo, Chen Mo! The desserts from the Tomson Riviera housekeeping service are terribly bad, sickeningly sweet and cloying. Shall we go eat at that newly opened steakhouse in Lujiazui tonight?”

Chen Mo looked at the screen and replied:

”Got it, my young lady. I’ll be there on time tonight. Order whatever you want.”

”So free today! Is the livestreaming situation settled?”

”It’s done. I’ve been exhausted lately; I haven’t seen you in ages.”

”Wait for me tonight!”

After sending the message, Chen Mo looked up at Old Xu, who was standing in the corner:

”Old Xu, speed up the progress on contacting the retired soldiers, especially those willing to develop overseas. They will be the core team for Tianxing International Security later on.”

Old Xu replied:

”CEO Chen, rest assured. I have already contacted several old comrades, and they are all willing to help with introductions. I will give you a preliminary list by tomorrow at the latest.”

”Good, as soon as possible.”

Chen Mo nodded. Just as he finished speaking, the office door was knocked.

”Come in.”

Li Yue walked in holding a folder:

”CEO Chen, the initial review procedures for Tianxing Security’s registration have been handled, and we should receive a response soon. Here are the other related materials; I’ve placed them here for you.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the office door was knocked again.

”In.”

Zhao Yuan pushed the door open and walked in:

”CEO Chen, I’m here to report on the financial market situation in the Eastern Country (Japan) for November.”

Chen Mo pointed to the chair opposite his desk:

”Perfect, you’re both here. Sit down, both of you, and take your time explaining.”

After the two sat down, Zhao Yuan opened the market data on his tablet and handed it to Chen Mo, speaking directly:

”CEO Chen, you see, expectations for the Federal Reserve to reduce QE are starting to ferment. The us stocks showed movement this morning, driving global capital back toward the US dollar.

The yen has already shown signs of slight appreciation.

Currently, the usd exchange rate hovers around 105. The nikkei 225 remains stable around 15,000 points with no major fluctuations, but undercurrents are already surging beneath the surface.”

Chen Mo took the tablet and scanned the K-lines and data on it.

He calculated in his mind, then took out a compiled document from the drawer and placed it on the table:

”Go to the trading room this afternoon and start implementing the financial harvest in the Eastern Country (Japan).”

Zhao Yuan responded:

”Understood, CEO Chen. How much capital are we preparing to invest, and what is the operation strategy?”

”2 billion US dollars in principal, plus 10 times leverage, making a total of 20 billion US dollars entering the market. We will proceed in three phases; for now, we start with the first phase of the layout.”

Chen Mo replied.

”First, Zhao Yuan, you need to lead the trading team and immediately start building positions:

One, short positions on Nikkei 225 futures, building the position in batches. Don’t dump it all at once to avoid alerting the Eastern Country (Japan). The target level is 13,000 points. As long as it hasn’t reached this point, hold the position and don’t close it easily;

Two, in the foreign exchange market, set up short positions for usd against the Yen, which means going long on the Yen. The target is between 98 and 100. Follow the pace of yen appreciation and slowly add to the position; don’t rush.”

Zhao Yuan listened and recorded while Li Yue also took notes in her notebook beside him.

Zhao Yuan responded:

”Understood, CEO Chen! All 20 billion US dollars will enter the market. Should we reserve some funds as a contingency, in case the market reverses, so we have a buffer?”

”No need to reserve any. All of it will go in batches. I have enough capital reserved to deal with risks.”

Chen Mo shook his head.

”Additionally, take a small amount of funds to short 10-year Japanese government bond futures. The current yield on 10-year Japanese bonds is around 0.6%. It will definitely rise later, causing bond prices to fall. This operation will only net us some scraps, but every bit of money we earn from the people of the Eastern Country (Japan) is worth it.”

At this moment, Li Yue spoke up from the side:

”CEO Chen, I have already arranged for my subordinates to handle the remaining coordination work for Tianxing Security’s registration procedures. Shall I monitor the public opinion and economic data from the Eastern Country (Japan) for you?

For example, the final GDP figures they are due to announce between November 13th and 15th, and the trade deficit data on the 20th. If there is any slightest disturbance, I will report it to you immediately.”

Chen Mo turned to look at Li Yue and nodded:

”That works. Let’s do that. Focus on these two data points, especially the final GDP figure. Japan’s third-quarter GDP last year was already below expectations; this time, it’s highly likely to be revised downward. This is the key to triggering the market movement for us;

Regarding the trade deficit, Japan’s energy imports have remained high while exports are weak, so it will definitely hit a new high. That will be another opportunity for harvesting.”

”Rest assured, CEO Chen, I will handle it properly!”

Li Yue noted down the key data points and time markers in her notebook.

Time flew by until noon. Chen Mo glanced at the Patek Philippe on his wrist and said to the two:

”Stop working for now. Let’s go downstairs to the restaurant for something to eat.”

The three of them went down to Tianxing’s in-house restaurant together.

In the afternoon, as it neared the end of the workday.

Chen Mo looked at the position-building record sent by Zhao Yuan and nodded with satisfaction.

The record clearly showed:

Nikkei 225 futures short positions have been built up to 30%, with an average holding price of 14,980 points, currently showing a slight floating profit;

usd/Yen short positions have been built up to 50%, with an average holding price of 104.8. The yen has appreciated slightly to 104.5, and floating profits have started to appear.

”Not bad, the progress is fast.”

After reading, Chen Mo replied to Zhao Yuan, then packed his things and left the office. Old Xu was already waiting downstairs in the car.

The car drove directly back to Tomson Riviera and stopped downstairs.

Chen Mo got out of the car and went straight upstairs, pushing open the door to Wu Dongju’s duplex.

Wu Dongju was already waiting in the living room. As soon as she saw him enter, she immediately got up from the sofa and hurried over to him, saying softly:

”You’re back. I thought you’d be busy until very late.”

”I promised to take you out for steak; I certainly wouldn’t be late.”

Chen Mo reached out and gently stroked her hair.

Wu Dongju hooked her arm around his, leaning lightly against him, and led Chen Mo out of the apartment.

She was already ready and just waiting for Chen Mo to return!

”Shall we walk over? For a bit of a stroll.”

”Okay, I’ll listen to you. It’s only a few hundred meters; no need to drive!”

The two walked side-by-side toward the IFC Mall.

Wu Dongju was quiet the whole way, occasionally looking up at Chen Mo. She was originally a young lady from a wealthy family, but now, by Chen Mo’s side, she had become a gentle and demure lady.

Wu Dongju said quietly:

”When I finished my work and got home to browse the news, I saw reports about you stabilizing the hong kong stocks. So many people were praising how capable you are. Truly the man I chose.”

Chen Mo smiled slightly:

”Just a small show.”

Wu Dongju rolled her eyes:

”You’re just showing off to me here!”

”Haha, what showing off? Let’s go, I’ll take you for steak. Things have been a bit hectic recently; I’ll need to rest for a while after this is over!”
