I’m really just an NPC

Chapter 133

Chapter 133
Almighty Altman said: ”Master Lin, they were all conscripted by the military.”

Almighty Altman explained that in the morning, the military headquarters of Dongning City suddenly came to the slums to recruit people to join the army on a large scale, with high financial subsidies every day, and also issued missions with great rewards. The most important thing is to equip enough free equipment guns and ammunition.

Players who were still trapped in the slums and could only go to the garbage dump to fight mice couldn’t resist the temptation, and responded to the call-up to join the army.

There are only three Almighty Altmans, who have received many tasks in the civilian and wealthy areas, and did not participate immediately with a wait-and-see attitude.

Lin Fan’s eyes narrowed after hearing this, and he secretly thought that Dongning City must have obtained tangible evidence that the beast horde will happen.

Otherwise, Dongning City’s standing soldiers are enough to guard Dongning City’s peacetime security, and they will never come to the slums to recruit people.

At this time, Caesar suddenly said: ”Master Lin, I have received news from several friends such as Lao Niu Gengli, Yidianhong, and the white prostitute. They said that they don’t want to stay in the barracks anymore. Can you help them out?” Come?”

The people Caesar mentioned are all important members of the God’s Left Hand Guild.

Lin Fan turned his head to look at Caesar: ”Get it out? They didn’t go to jail, so they were forced to join the army?”

”That’s not true.” Caesar rubbed his hands, smiling stiffly, ”The military department took out real money, and they took the initiative to respond to the call, accepted the task, and signed the agreement.”

Lin Fan said coldly: ”Since you signed the agreement, you will become a soldier. A soldier must look like a soldier. Is it plausible to say something wrong?”

[Martial artist Lin Fan’s favorability towards you -30]

Caesar wanted to say something, but suddenly saw this system prompt, and suddenly suffocated his breath.

But Caesar has to say!

His subordinates told him that what they participated in was not any regular and well-organized soldiers at all, but cannon fodder temporarily recruited by Dongning City.

When the time comes to resist the beast tide, you need to stick to the outermost layer of the defense circle. Once a few powerful monsters come, they will all die.

Generally speaking, players are not afraid of death, but the official website of ”Wasteland Rise” clearly states that during the closed beta monster siege, players cannot be resurrected after death, and the closed beta data will be cleared directly after death.

Once all members of the God’s Left Hand guild die, the guild will lose at the starting line!
As the president of the Left Hand of God, Nishizawa must not let this happen. Now he only has Lin Fan as a straw to grasp, so he has to fight hard: ”Master Warrior, please help me, I really don’t want to see my brothers die.”

Lin Fan glanced at Caesar, the sharp eyes made Caesar’s whole body chill, and he couldn’t help cursing inwardly, ”This damn [-]% realistic”!
”The soldiers of Dongning City defend Dongning City and regard death as home. Without their sacrifices, there would be no stable life for ordinary people in Dongning City. But...”

Lin Fan changed the subject, ”It is true that the people recruited by the military from the slums were used improperly. They were all used as cannon fodder. I have observed you people in the past two days. Every talent is good, so you can’t sacrifice like this for nothing. Let them grow up to be more useful to Dongning City.”

Caesar nodded quickly: ”Yes, yes, that’s the truth.”

Lin Fan waved his hand: ”Let’s go, I’ll take you to see them.”

Lin Fan took three players into the car, and the target was a certain military area outside the city, where more than 100 players were doing emergency training right now.

On the way, Lin Fan called Broadong.

The two greeted briefly at first, and then Broadcom praised Lin Fan, saying that his premonition was accurate.

After two days of investigation, a large number of beasts were found in all directions of Dongning City, and the number of rats and poisonous snakes in garbage dumps, rivers, and sewers also increased significantly.

Thanks to Lin Fan’s early warning, Dongning City had been given time to react. The soldiers had already cleaned up the garbage dumps, rivers, sewers and other areas in the city.

Because of this incident, the military department planned to give Lin Fan first-class merit and officially award him the corresponding military rank. However, specific rewards are being studied, and formal awards will be issued after the beast wave has passed.

Lin Fan listened patiently to what Broadcom had to say, and then he revealed the purpose of his call.He wanted Broadcom to help arrange a warehouse on the outskirts of the city, and then asked him to find a relationship with the military department to help recruit some people who were conscripted into cannon fodder from the slums.

Although Broadcom wondered why Lin Fan cared so much about the people in the slums, but because Lin Fan has always been reliable in his work and just made great contributions, Broadcom put this doubt aside and decided to help: ”How many people do you want to fish out?” ?”

”About one hundred, in the Seventh Military Region on the southwest side of Dongning City, I’m rushing there.”

”There are not many people, small things, leave it to me.”

It’s been smooth sailing for Broadcom.

As soon as Lin Fan arrived at the Seventh Military Region, a colonel greeted him: ”Are you Lin Fan?”

Lin Fan nodded.

”Follow me.” The colonel’s attitude was quite respectful.

He is a quasi-warrior who has climbed to the position of colonel through merit. Although Lin Fan has no military rank for the time being, his status as a warrior is enough to gain his due status throughout Dongning City.

Moreover, Lin Fan’s matter was arranged urgently by the colonel’s immediate superior. The colonel understood that Lin Fan’s identity was not simple, so he naturally respected Lin Fan even more.

Lin Fan followed him into the ”Cannon Fodder Battalion”, edited a [Cannon Fodder Report] mission, and quickly found all the players.

Each of the players has put on the Dongning City soldier uniform. After a day of intensive training, every one of them is disgraced.

The players were very excited to see Lin Fan and started talking in the chat channel. The content of the discussion can be described in five words - the elite monster is awesome!
Lin Fan confirmed his gaze to the colonel, waved his hand, and led the players out of the cannon fodder camp.

Finding an open space, Lin Fan asked the [-] players to stand obediently and began to lecture.

”Traces of a beast tide were found in the wilderness. Dongning City is in crisis. Everyone is moving to defend the city.”

”I didn’t pull you out of the cannon fodder camp so that you could hide in the rear and enjoy the blessings. You still have to go to the battlefield, but you have to fight meaningful battles and valuable battles so that you can play a greater role.”

”There are 108 of you, the number is almost a company, so you form an independent company, and I am directly responsible for you. In the next few days, you will fight side by side and fight monsters fiercely. I will provide the weapons and equipment!”

”I only have two requirements for you. One is to fight monsters hard. The top ten monsters killed every day will get extra rewards, and the one who kills the most monsters will get special rewards.”

”The second requirement is to survive. Only those who can survive can do more meaningful things. But you have to remember, you can’t disobey military orders, and you can’t assassinate comrades in Dongning City. Violators, beheaded!”

While Lin Fan was shouting, the two missions edited on the way here - [Fight for the Pioneer] and [Survive] were released to the players.

”Wow, the rewards are so generous. The elite monsters are so generous.”

”Yes, especially the mission [Survive]. After the monster siege is over, 3000 experience points are awarded at one time, which is an astronomical figure!”

”Thinking about it, we are really asking for trouble. In the morning, we thought that joining the army would be a good opportunity to level up, but we didn’t expect to die for nothing.”

The players all praised Lin Fan, and Lin Fan smiled and said loudly: ”In addition, in order to improve your combat ability and survivability, you come to me once every night and morning. Opportunity to learn skills and purchase powerful equipment.”

”Fellow warriors, crises come with opportunities. Please seize this opportunity, and you may be able to soar into the sky. Dongning City never lacks rewards for warriors, as long as you can prove that you are truly warriors.”

As Lin Fan spoke, he opened the system mall to the players.

The player fought monsters for a day yesterday, and joined the army for a day today. He has done a lot of training tasks and accumulated a lot of experience and money. With money in your pocket, you don’t hesitate to ”buy, buy, buy”.

However, since Lin Fan said that he provides weapons and equipment, most of these players buy skills, such as stealth, basic hot weapon proficiency, and basic cold weapon proficiency.

A dense amount of transaction information was displayed in front of Lin Fan.

In just 5 minutes, Lin Fan found that he had earned a full 2 experience points.

”It’s really cool to cut players’ leeks! There are only a hundred players, and if it comes to the public beta, the number will skyrocket hundreds of times...”

Lin Fan thought about it casually, and his heart blossomed with joy.

”Come with me, I’ll take you to the base, and arm you by the way. Before the monsters come, get familiar with the firearms quickly, and sharpen your guns before the battle!”

With a wave of his hand, Lin Fan led a mighty one hundred army towards the warehouse arranged by Broadcom.

There will be more than 100 players’ base for the next four days, and it will also be the leek breeding ground specially prepared by Lin Fan... Cough, a large-scale interactive scene between NPC and players.
