I’m really just an NPC

Chapter 109 Forum Storm (Part 2)

Chapter 109 Forum Situation (Second Update)

”Internal testing?!”

To be honest, Lin Fan almost forgot that there was such a thing as ”Rise of the Wasteland”.

During the closed beta in the previous life, Lin Fan should still be struggling to earn money for the game helmet, right?
”Hey! I don’t know in this life, at this moment, on the player’s planet, is there still a poor boy named Lin Fan who is working hard to survive!”

”Probably not, after all, I have time-traveled into the game now.”

”Without a person like Lin Fan on that planet, it is still functioning normally, just like taking a drop of water from the ocean without attracting the slightest attention.”

In his previous life, Lin Fan and the player lived on the same planet with a population of more than [-] billion, but now they are separated from the player by two worlds, and suddenly he was worried about gains and losses.

However, Lin Fan’s ability to adjust his mentality is extremely strong. After 1 minute, he put these lost emotions behind him and began to curiously study the various functions that were newly unlocked.

Players are coming, and Lin Fan needs to interact with them in the future, so it’s impossible not to understand his own NPC mechanism.

When he first traveled in, Lin Fan complained that his [World Map] and [Favourability System] were both missing, and he was still a little uncomfortable, but he didn’t expect that all of them were unlocked in the public beta.

【Investigation】Skills are also the same. When Lin Fan was a player, he was used to throwing a probe first when he saw people being strange. After crossing, he could only get news about others by beating or being beaten. He was extremely uncomfortable.Unexpectedly, a public beta [Detection] skill also came back.

Three useful tools were lost and recovered, which makes people happy unexpectedly.

Lin Fan opened the [World Map] to take a look, and found that it still smelled familiar. The fog of war covered everything, only the areas that Lin Fan had explored—such as the areas near Pojun City, Dahuang Mountain, Jiaolong City, and Dongning City were lit up.

This map is very practical. It can display Lin Fan’s miniature avatar on it, and change the position in time as he moves, which can make Lin Fan never get lost.

Sure enough, games with maps are friendly enough to Lu Chi.

Lin Fan opened the [favorability] panel again, and found that there was already a long list of favorability on it.

”Nani? Why is Murphy the one with the highest favorability??”

Murphy’s favorability towards Lin Fan has reached 2200 points, and the level is close.

It’s right to think about it carefully, the two of them have been squeezed together on the same bed for several years, and it really can’t be justified if they don’t have close affection.

Broadcom ranks second in favorability, with 1600 points, and the level is trust.

Sure enough, the old man is easy to love.

”But the third one, who is this person named Sfiya? Why is he 100 points higher than my little brother Barlow? Has he reached intimacy?”

Lin Fan thought for a while, and suddenly matched the name with the owner.

——Sfiya is the lady at the front desk who has poor chest muscles and is difficult to fight. In the past three months, she has also come to harass Lin Fan several times, and once she found an opportunity to turn on the light bulb, which made Lin Fan almost unable to control it.

”Has this lady not forgotten me yet? Oh, it’s so hard to be a handsome guy!”

”It’s even harder to be a rich handsome guy! Being missed all day long.”

Lin Fan chose to rank the favorability points in reverse order, trying to find out who hated him the most.

As he expected, the people who hate him the most are members of the Wang Consortium, several of whom have reached the [-2000] level of sworn enemies.

”But this girl Wang Yanran only has a favorability score of -200. She just hates me. It seems that she and Wang Teng don’t have a good relationship.”

Lin Fan closed the [Favourability Panel] and opened the [Faction Panel], and found that the faction he is currently in is the [Tinder Organization], and his relationship with other forces is indifferent, but there is no [hostile] force.

Finally, Lin Fan looked at the 【Player Forum】.

”I’m already an NPC, can I still play forums? Think about it, it’s like calling from the underworld to the underworld...”

Lin Fan complained and opened the player forum.

Although the planet where the player lives is now a highly developed virtual age, various forums relying on virtual reality technology emerge in endlessly. If you build a small room with a virtual body on top, you can face-to-face scolding for a day.

If two gangsters meet, they can still fight directly, and the people next to them will cheer loudly, and they will be too excited.

But ”Rise of the Wasteland” insists on going retro. The game forum is a traditional type of web page, divided into various sections. The section can only post text posts, pictures and videos, which is really complained by players.

”wdnmd, rubbish game forum, actually use such a retro version, I went to the Internet to download a fool’s virtual web editor, the virtual forum generated by one click is even cooler than this, such a big game company, the publicity is overwhelming, that’s it? This is it?? This is it???”

”Upstairs, I’m going to be a freshman. It’s too flattering to compare this broken forum with the fool’s virtual forum editor on the Internet. I type code with my feet with my eyes closed. It only takes a second. The newly created forum is even better than this!”

Sure enough, in a forum called Wasteland Jianghu, new posts have emerged one after another, almost dozens of posts per second, all of them scolding this forum for being too dirty.

Lin Fan had also complained before that the design of this forum was too old, but now he is quite happy about it.If the forum was really built into a virtual community type, it would always feel weird for Lin Fan, a person who had come from the ”underworld”, to walk from room to room.

Lin Fan looked at the upper right corner of the forum, where the account ID is usually displayed. But Lin Fan found that there was only a blank space, and there was no hair.

This also means that Lin Fan does not have the right to post, and can only passively accept spam in various forums, just like being locked in a small black room by the moderator.

Well, my [-]-word-per-second Zaun words are suddenly useless!

Lin Fan felt a little regretful, wishing he could fight another 500 years.

Lin Fan left the Wasteland Rivers and Lakes section, went to the special section ”Internal Test Related”, and found that the posts here were finally normal, and they were all discussing internal test related matters.

”It’s chilling!!
——For this internal test, a total of 5000 people participated in the three novice planets, Seablue Star, Steel Blue Star, and Deep Blue Star, with 5000 people for each planet. But among the 5000 people, major clubs and freelance players accounted for a full [-], leaving only [-] places for ordinary players to make reservations on the official website and draw randomly, is it fair? What about human rights? Why can major clubs and freelance players engage in privileges? ”

“Leave your name in the front row!
——You didn’t get the quota in the draw upstairs, so you’re so upset!I am an ordinary player. I got a spot in the open beta and was assigned to the Deep Blue Star. I can play magic and feel happy.By the way, let me tell you something more exciting. I heard that as long as you don’t change the novice planet in this internal beta, the files will not be deleted.Real time lasts 24 hours, which is equivalent to eight days of game time, which is equivalent to starting eight days earlier than others. Are you even more sour after hearing this news? ”

”Occupying the third floor, I’m an ordinary player who didn’t get a spot in the open beta. I wish you a happy death on the second floor. Why are you showing off!”

”Third floor, I remember you! I have the guts to come to Deep Blue Star at that time, and PK in the wild, I will beat you until you don’t even know you!”

The building quickly turned crooked, and Lin Fan was already familiar with this rhythm, so he quickly left this post to search for other interested ones.

”Heavy! Heavy! The latest official announcement!
——”Rise of the Wasteland” will officially start the public beta three hours after the real time. The official announcement related to the internal test, saying that after the start of the public beta and four days after the game time, towns with players, no matter how big or small, will trigger monsters to attack the city , for four days.

In order to maintain the fairness of the game and encourage everyone’s enthusiasm for the game, the final internal test file retention plan is hereby announced: If the player dies during the monster siege, the player character will die permanently and cannot be resurrected, and the public test character will be deleted.

In addition, after the open beta ends, only the [-] closed beta players will retain the closed beta files of the top [-] players, and the closed beta characters of other players will be deleted. ”

”Fuck, the forum is being monitored by the game company! Update the version instantly!”

”Upstairs nt, which game company’s forum is not monitored by the game company? This wave of announcements came in time, and I support it with both hands!”

”The two nts upstairs, the game company will change the mechanism so quickly? It is obvious that they have planned it a long time ago, and only announced it now.”

”@【气摇冷】on the second floor of the post, I am a passerby, and I was disgusted by what you said just now. I laughed to see that you died when the monster attacked the city, and the public beta data was cleared.”

”The official method is good. It has a competitive nature and can stimulate the exploration desire of the public beta players. After the public beta is over, the high-level players will share the game strategy and summary.”

”I’m asking for a game guide, the boss is taking a bubble.”

”Same request!”

……

After reading this post, Lin Fan suddenly frowned, and his mood instantly changed from the curiosity and excitement when he first saw the forum to calmness.

”There are monsters attacking the city? It’s a wave of beasts! If it wasn’t because of the forum, I really don’t know about it...”

Aquamarine has [-] beta players, half from the eastern and western continents. A city as big as Dongning City will definitely have hundreds of gamers. Also because Dongning City is large and has a large population, the scale of the beast horde is definitely not low.

”It seems that I really can’t accumulate any more experience. I must increase my strength to the limit before the outbreak of the beast horde. There are still more than 20 hours before the public beta starts, which means I still have about five days.”

”I have to find a way to notify the high-level officials of Dongning City about the news of the outbreak of the beast horde, so that they can take precautions. After all, Dongning City has lost a lot of money, and I’m having a hard time.”

”And find opportunities to interact with players to verify this NPC template that unlocks many new functions.”
