I’m really just an NPC

Chapter 58

Chapter 58 This place is just like in a science fiction movie

In order to find out the secret of the so-called ”divine substance” and those two giants, Lin Fan planned to inspect this laboratory carefully.

The inspection first started from the left hand side. On the wall on the left hand side was a fire schematic diagram of the laboratory, marking all the partitions and rooms of the laboratory.

From the scale of the firefighting diagram and the length of the corridor measured by Lin Fan’s eyes, he deduced that the area of this laboratory is very large, three to five times larger than the hall outside.

There are a total of six entrances and exits. The one that Lin Fan came in is the most frequently used entrance. Whether the other entrances and exits can be passed is temporarily doubtful. Lin Fan plans to check slowly after a while.

The internal division of the laboratory is very detailed and reasonable. It is divided into technical support area, energy area, core research and development area, living body experiment area, waste treatment area, living area and so on.

Lin Fan immediately fixed his sight on the living body experiment area. Just hearing the name of this area, he knew that it was inseparable from the two mutated experimental subjects outside, and it was inseparable from the so-called ”divine substance”.

Lin Fan memorized the firefighting diagram in his mind and rushed towards the living subject experiment area along the winding corridor.

More than half a century has passed, and the unmaintained underground laboratory has long lost all energy. The road is dark, and the only light source is the flashlight held by Lin Fan.

The light moved forward with Lin Fan, tearing through the darkness ahead and leaving a strange shadow behind.

From time to time, rustling sounds could be heard in the rooms on both sides of the corridor, but when Lin Fan shone his flashlight on it, he found nothing.

Maybe it’s a mouse, maybe an insect, maybe it’s the expansion and contraction between the rusted steel bars and the concrete, but no matter whether the thing making the sound is harmful or harmless, alive or dead, in this dark, dead silence In such an environment, it is a great torment and test for the soul.

Thanks to Lin Fan’s extensive experience in his previous life, from the tomb of the Xinghai God to the tunnel and sewer, he was able to walk calmly, calmly, and gracefully in this eerie laboratory.

Another person might have been scared to pee.

tata tao~
The sound of Lin Fan’s lonely footsteps echoed in the corridor. Halfway to the living body experiment area, Lin Fan stopped suddenly, focusing the flashlight in front of him.

This is a double-layered fire door, but the door has long been destroyed by violence.Lin Fan checked briefly and found that the fire door looked like it had been smashed by a fist. There was still a layer of cuticle stuck to the broken part of the metal door.

Lin Fan knew this layer of horny layer. When he climbed into the laboratory, he got a lot of it on his body, and there was still a faint stench on his body.

Who broke the fire door speaks for itself.

Moreover, Lin Fan observed carefully and found signs that the door had been damaged twice or even three times, which proved that the two giants had entered and exited the fire door more than once.

Lin Fan secretly thought that he really found the right search idea!

Lin Fan focused on his feet, trying to distinguish the giant’s footprints, so that it would be more convenient to follow the footprints to find clues. But the result was in vain, the ground was covered with dust and smudges, unable to provide valid information.

Lin Fan could only continue to rush towards the living body experiment area, and arrived there quickly. Here, Lin Fan knew that he was right, because he found more traces of the activities of the two giants here.

The doors, walls, and experimental instruments of many laboratories were violently damaged. Lin Fan also found corpses in some rooms, and there were a lot of them. According to their clothes, the identities of these corpses should be laboratory workers.

However, most of the corpses were incomplete, for some reason... Lin Fan thought of the charred wolf head!
creak~
Lin Fan pushed open a relatively intact door, and the flashlight shone into the room, illuminating the entire room.

squeak~
A group of mice didn’t expect the light to come in suddenly, and they screamed in fright. Their avoidance of light made them slip away against the wall and escape.

Rats, a powerful little animal, can be found everywhere, and it is even more impossible for this underground secret laboratory to be without their shadows.

”Whoo~”

Seeing these panicked and desperately fleeing mice, Lin Fan’s tense nerves suddenly relaxed, and he let out a long sigh of relief.

The awareness of the rat crisis here is very weak, which means that no large and ferocious living things have entered this laboratory for a long time.

And the mouse relieved Lin Fan’s loneliness to a certain extent - after all, it was dark all around, and from time to time, he could see a corpse behind the door or at the corner of the corridor, it was scary, and he urgently needed some living things to refresh him!
The flashlight’s beam swayed around under Lin Fan’s control, and then focused on a corpse. This corpse was relatively complete. The clothes on its body were different from the experimenter’s white coat, and there was a submachine gun lying on the hand bones.

This should be the security personnel of this laboratory.

Lin Fan picked up the submachine gun and found that due to time, the submachine gun had long been rusted and the bullets in the magazine had expired.

However, based on the position of the corpse, the pointing of the submachine gun, and several bullet holes on the wall, Lin Fan naturally turned his gaze to the laboratory diagonally opposite the house.

The laboratory diagonally opposite must be very important! !
Lin Fan came to this conclusion as soon as he walked to the door of this laboratory.

One is because a big yellow exclamation mark is painted on the wall next to it, and the words ”Above level I clearance is allowed to enter” are written behind it, and the other is because the door of this house has been completely destroyed.

Moreover, this door was violently destroyed from the inside out, and the door flew directly to the opposite wall, which was different from any house that Lin Fan had inspected before.

This shows that the two giant test subjects were probably born from this laboratory!

Curious in Lin Fan’s heart, holding a flashlight, he entered the room.

This room is very large, much larger than the rooms Lin Fan had explored before.

If you ignore the dust and cobwebs, the shape of this room looks very sci-fi.

The transparent glass tanks and metal instruments are patchwork, connected by various pipes. These pipes include iron pipes, plastic pipes, and glass pipes. The styles are long and short, thick and thin, large and small, densely packed without being messy, and curved with some unique charm.

Looks dizzy.

Lin Fan shook his head, and decided to find something he could understand first.

He went around the room, and found the dissection table, training room, observation room, discussion room, experimental database and other areas in this room, but there were obvious signs of destruction, as if there was a huge monster in the room. It’s the same as wreaking havoc here.

There are also quite a few corpses on the ground, all wearing white coats, and most of them are incomplete.

After some searching, finally, Lin Fan stood in front of a huge transparent glass cultivation chamber. The glass chamber has been shattered, and it was shattered by exploding from the inside out.

Not far from this glass warehouse, there is another glass warehouse of the same kind.

The police pay attention to protecting the scene of the crime in solving crimes, and even explore the scene of the crime many times, just because the scene of the crime is very important and can tell many facts silently.

The crime scene here was well protected, and Lin Fan deduced a lot of things from this.

It’s hard to guess the details, but Lin Fan already roughly understood what happened here.

A secret biochemical laboratory is conducting a secret biochemical experiment. The glass chamber and supporting facilities in front of it should be the experimental equipment, and the experimental body is the giant monster outside.

But just like many sci-fi movies, the experiment ended in misfortune. The experimental subjects ran away, the experimenters sacrificed to the heavens, and the laboratory became a relic for future generations to archeology.

There was only so much that could be told to Lin Fan at the scene. If you wanted to find out more inside information, you needed to start from another aspect.

Lin Fan turned his attention to the experimental reference room, where there should be a lot of important experimental data recorded.
