Becoming an Immortal and Ancestor, Starting from the Clan-protecting Divine Beast

12: Chapter 12 Plan”It’s good that you have a plan. Just tell me what to do.” Yuan Feng had already guessed what Chen Fufeng was planning when he mentioned Li Yuanji.

Although the Li Family had produced a Foundation Establishment expert, that was many years ago. Currently, the strongest members of the clan were the two Li Family brothers, neither of whom was even a Late Stage Qi Refining Cultivator.

One of these two brothers died by Chen Fufeng’s hand, and the other was smashed into a mist of blood by Yuan Feng; both perished.

It could be said that the Li Family of Liming Town is now extremely weak. The clan has lost all its ’big cats’ and only a few ’kittens’ remain, making them easy to handle.

But then again, since they were a Family that had produced a Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator, it was inevitable that they might have left behind some Foundation Establishment-level methods.

Thinking of this, Yuan Feng asked, ”Old Chen, what grade is the Li Family’s mountain protecting Formation? If it’s Foundation Establishment level, we would probably just be walking into death.”

For a Qi Refining Cultivator, the power of the Foundation Establishment level can be summed up in two words: crushing dominance!

”Brother Yuan, there is no need to worry.” Chen Fufeng seemed confident and immediately explained:

”The Li Family’s great mountain protecting Formation was indeed Foundation Establishment grade before, but after that Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator perished, the Li Family’s enemies came knocking, and the great mountain protecting Formation was largely crippled.”

”The later Li Family members simply didn’t have the ability to repair it. Furthermore, activating a Foundation Establishment level great Formation requires consuming massive amounts of resources, so the Li Family generally wouldn’t activate that Foundation Establishment great Formation, only letting it display Peak Qi Refining level power.”

”By the time of the two Li Yuanji brothers, the Li Family’s great mountain protecting Formation was severely damaged, making it difficult to maintain even Peak Qi Refining level power. It was eventually sold by the two Li Yuanji brothers to a Formation Master for reference on the profound mysteries of Foundation Establishment Formations.”

”Those two brothers were quite the talents. They used the money from selling the Formation to buy a first grade upper rank Magical Artifact Formation, the Golden Edge Cloud Breaking Array, to protect the Li Family. The rest of the money was used by them to purchase Cultivation resources.”

Yuan Feng nodded slightly. It seemed Chen Fufeng had done his homework before coming to discuss wiping out the Li Family.

He increasingly felt that partnering with Chen Fufeng was a very correct choice. Chen Fufeng was not only cautious and humble but also decisive and ruthless in battle, traits that would allow him to go further in this world.

He had kept the matter of the two Li Family members in his heart previously, and when he returned to Liming Town and saw Chen Fufeng didn’t mention it, he didn’t say much either.

Now that Chen Fufeng had proactively sought him out to eliminate the Li Family, he naturally agreed wholeheartedly.

This is the Cultivation World, where the weak are prey to the strong. There is an old saying that holds great truth:

Killing people and setting fires leads to a golden belt; building bridges and paving roads leaves no corpse!

You must be more ruthless and wicked than others to gain a firm footing in this world where man is the butcher and I am the fish.

”By the way, Old Chen, didn’t you say before that the Cultivation Technique cultivated by Li Yuanji was the fourth-grade Metal attribute Cultivation Technique, the Golden Firmament Jade Dew Art? Didn’t anyone try to raid the Li Family to snatch it?” Yuan Feng asked.

He hadn’t spent all these days solely Cultivating and meditating. He occasionally took time off to retrieve some books related to Immortal Cultivators from the Chen Family’s Library Pavilion to read.

One of them, the Records of Foundation Establishment, mentioned that only third-grade Cultivation Techniques can forge an immortal foundation and enter the Foundation Establishment realm.

The immortal foundation cultivated by the higher fourth-grade Cultivation Techniques is stronger than a third-grade immortal foundation, whether in terms of the resulting magical power or future potential. Moreover, only an immortal foundation of the fourth-grade level can bear the Purple Mansion, engrave Divine Abilities, enter the Purple Mansion realm, and become a Purple Mansion True Person who traverses the heavens and earth.

In other words, if one forges a third-grade immortal foundation, they are basically hopeless of reaching the Purple Mansion realm in this life.

But the Records of Foundation Establishment also mentioned that most immortal foundations in the world have superior substitutes. It doesn’t matter if one Cultivates a third-grade immortal foundation; they can improve the immortal foundation’s grade by switching to a superior Cultivation Technique and using corresponding Heaven And Earth Treasure.

For instance, the superior immortal foundation to the fourth-grade immortal foundation [Golden Dew Liquid] cultivated by the Golden Firmament Jade Dew Art is the fifth-grade immortal foundation, Solid Gold Edge.

Similarly, the superior immortal foundation to the fourth-grade immortal foundation [Crimson Separating Flame] cultivated by the Crimson Central Separating Flame Art is the fifth-grade immortal foundation, Heavenly Separating Burn.

Only third-grade Cultivation Techniques can forge an immortal foundation, and only a fourth-grade immortal foundation can bear the Purple Mansion. Going further up, each grade is a world of difference, and those with a sixth-grade immortal foundation can achieve the Purple Mansion realm with ease!

”Brother Yuan is unaware of this. The Li Family long ago made a copy of their Cultivation Technique and gave it to the Tang Family in exchange for protection,” Chen Fufeng replied.

Hearing this, Yuan Feng shook his head and said, ”Since the Tang Family is willing to provide protection, wouldn’t we run into people from the Tang Family if we try to eliminate the Li Family?”

Currently, both he and Chen Fufeng are in the cautious development stage. Confronting a behemoth like the Tang Family would certainly be disadvantageous, and one wrong move could lead to total defeat.

Chen Fufeng’s expression was calm as he quietly spoke, ”The Tang Family is a wolf that eats people without spitting out the bones. The Cultivation Technique was given by the Li Family themselves. At most, the Tang Family will turn a blind eye to this and won’t put in too much effort.

Furthermore, it’s just a fourth-grade Cultivation Technique. To the Tang Family, which has dominated the 1,400 li area of Liming Town for many years, it’s really nothing. Only a fifth-grade Cultivation Technique could truly impress the Tang Family.

Not only that, but the other two Foundation Establishment Families, the Zhang Family and the Wang Family, had also sent people to the Li Family to retrieve the Cultivation Technique. The Li Family members respectfully made copies of the Cultivation Technique, claiming it was a gift to the Foundation Establishment Great Cultivators of the two great Families to seek good karma. Yet, the Tang Family ignored it and never sent anyone to hold them accountable.”

As he spoke, he sighed, ”In this world, only strength is the fundamental guarantee. Otherwise, one can only end up like the Li Family, like a child carrying gold across the street where every passerby is a bandit.”

After Chen Fufeng’s explanation, Yuan Feng finally understood the Li Family’s current predicament—it couldn’t be worse.

The heritage left by that Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator had long been exhausted by the Li Family members, and the current generation’s pillars, the two Li Family brothers, were killed by one man and one ape. They are no longer a threat and only have the path of destruction left.

”Old Chen, we should not delay. How about we leave immediately?” Yuan Feng was not indecisive. He instantly wanted to raid the Li Family, eliminate the hidden danger, and incidentally seize some wealth to speed up the Chen Family’s growth.

Chen Fufeng nodded. That was exactly his intention, which was why he had talked with Yuan Feng until nightfall.

Because a dark moon and high winds make for a killing night—it was the perfect time to descend the mountain and invade the Li Family.

”By the way, Brother Yuan, we must finish quickly to avoid attracting unnecessary trouble. Delay could lead to unforeseen changes,” Chen Fufeng said seriously.

This time, they were going to raid a Family that had produced a Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator. Even though this Family was utterly decayed and its strong members were dead, they still needed to remain vigilant to avoid capsizing in the gutter.

Afterward, the man and the ape communicated for a while longer. After finalizing their plan, they quietly left Luoyun Mountain without alerting anyone.

Chen Fufeng didn’t even tell Ji Wanqing, fearing she might worry and thus disturb her fetal Qi... Outside Luoyun Mountain, Chen Fufeng’s figure quietly appeared. His control authority over the Fog Shadow Bewitching Array was still higher than Ji Wanqing’s, allowing him to sneak out of Luoyun Mountain without her knowledge.

The three little ones who had previously stumbled into the back mountain cliff had, by coincidence, become his witnesses. In their eyes, he was currently still at the back mountain cliff, chatting with Yuan Feng.

”The Li Family is on the northwest side of the town, near the Liyuan Plains. It’s relatively remote. If we cause too much disturbance, we will flee into the Liyuan Plains,” Chen Fufeng transmitted via sound.

Yuan Feng nodded, having no objections. This operation was entirely controlled by Chen Fufeng; he only needed to be responsible for dealing with the enemies.

As for the Liyuan Plains mentioned by Chen Fufeng, it is a vast plain hundreds of thousands of miles wide, covered everywhere with fiery red Licao grass. Looking out, it resembles a sea of fire, a unique sight.

Liming Town and Liyang Town were both established around the Liyuan Plains.

In the central area of the Liyuan Plains sits a Commandery City named Liyuan Commandery, which governs Liming Town and twenty-seven other towns.

Only forces possessing a Purple Mansion True Person can take charge of Liyuan Commandery, standing above all the towns and dominating the trends of this Commandery’s twenty-seven towns!

Just like this, the man and the ape flew toward the northwest, being cautious along the way, avoiding the territories of the various great Families, and changing direction multiple times to prevent being targeted by others.

An hour later, Chen Fufeng appeared near Bingyang Mountain, where the Li Family was located. His Aura was concealed, making him look no different from a Mortal.

When he approached the territory where the Li Family was located, he switched from flying to walking, using several Swiftness Talismans to sprint over a hundred li before arriving here.

Yuan Feng’s Breath Concealment Art never stopped for a moment. The Aura he emitted was extremely faint, making it difficult for even a Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator to detect.

He sat on Chen Fufeng’s shoulder, yao power flowing in his eyes as he looked toward Bingyang Mountain, seeing the scenery below the mountainside clearly.

Further up, there was a flash of golden light, seemingly with sharpness flowing, obstructing his vision and preventing him from seeing clearly.

”The Li Family’s great mountain protecting Formation has been activated,” Yuan Feng said.

Chen Fufeng paused, asking doubtfully, ”Brother Yuan, are you sure?”

”I’m sure. This must be the great mountain protecting Formation being fully activated, which is why it can block my prying,” Yuan Feng nodded affirmatively, saying.

Previously, the Chen Family’s Fog Shadow Bewitching Array wasn’t truly activated, allowing him to probe through the Formation somewhat. It would never be like now, where he couldn’t see anything at all.

”Brother Yuan, I’m afraid someone beat us to it and raided the Li Family!” Chen Fufeng pondered for a moment, an inexplicable glint flashing in his eyes.

Yuan Feng rubbed his chin, thought for a moment, and said, ”Then should we play the role of the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind?”

”Fufeng intends exactly that!” Chen Fufeng smiled calmly and led Yuan Feng to hide in a spot that was very close to the Li Family but also concealed.

On Bingyang Mountain, golden light shot out in all directions, and spiritual power swept across. The intruder was dealing with the fully activated Golden Edge Cloud Breaking Array.

Neither the man nor the ape was in a hurry now. They waited quietly. If the intruder’s strength was not enough to defeat the Li Family’s mountain protecting Formation, they could take action later without rushing.

Over the past month, Yuan Feng had refined the two earth origin fire lotus fruit he had stolen. His strength had increased significantly. Even if he couldn’t defeat a Peak Qi Refining Cultivator, he wasn’t far off.

Moreover, he had a Frenzy Talent that he hadn’t used yet. If deployed as a trump card, a Peak Qi Refining Cultivator would suffer greatly if they weren’t careful.

A Peak Qi Refining Cultivator generally refers to a Cultivator at the Ninth Layer of Qi Refining, whose energy channels are fully connected and whose spiritual power is completely liquefied. Their lethality and endurance far exceed those of an Eighth Layer of Qi Refining Cultivator.

Of course, due to the different grades of Cultivation Techniques and Spells they Cultivate, the difference in strength among Cultivators of the same level is often significant.

Coupled with the assistance of items like Magical Artifacts and Talismanic Incantations, it is possible for a Late Stage Qi Refining Cultivator to overcome and defeat a Peak Qi Refining Cultivator, just as it is possible for a Peak Qi Refining Cultivator to instantly kill a Cultivator of the same level in a few moves.

A quarter of an hour passed. The Li Family’s great mountain protecting Formation seemed to have reached its limit, unable to hold on any longer. It disintegrated, and the intruder rushed in.

Soon after, most of the Li Family buildings on the mountain collapsed, and a great fire rose up, completely burying this Family that had once produced a Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator.

A streak of light flew out from Bingyang Mountain, revealing the figure of a middle-aged man with a sinister expression. His robes were tattered, and blood was dripping from many places, especially his chest, where a wound was deep enough to expose bone, occasionally oozing blood.

”Eighth Layer of Qi Refining. Judging by his Aura, he is probably close to Peak Qi Refining.” Chen Fufeng’s expression was solemn. Such a character would not be easy to kill.

”It’s not a big problem. As long as he’s not Peak Qi Refining, it’s fine,” Yuan Feng said, full of Killing Intent.

Just as the man and the ape were preparing to intercept and kill the middle-aged man, two figures were faster than them and rushed out first.

A man and a woman, seemingly a couple, one wielding a sword and the other a saber, unleashed a Body Integration Technique.

The saber and sword merged, transforming into a rainbow light several dozen feet long, slashing across the night sky and heading straight for the middle-aged man.
