Venerated Venomous Consort

”Xiao Wu, your silvery red blouse looks lovely with this accessory, here you go.” Gu Xijiu turned around and stuffed the jade into the servant’s hand.

The servant was like a bodyguard who was very loyal to her. Typically, she did not dare to accept if Gu Xijiu gives her something valuable.

But...

She had to take it to piss off the Twelfth Prince!

Therefore, she immediately thanked Gu Xijiu happily.

She even spun around and said, ”This suits me! Thank you so much!”

Gu Xijiu smiled and said, ”I’m glad that you like it. In fact, the Twelfth Prince has a pair of sharp eyes and good taste! Xiao Wu, you should thank the prince.”

Xiao Wu immediately thanked Rong Yan, ”Thank you, Your Highness.”

Rong Yan was mad and said, ”Xijiu, why are you giving the precious stone to the servant?”

Gu Xijiu frowned and asked, ”Are you giving that to me?”

”Of course!” Rong Yan answered.

”Since you have given it to me, then I should have the right to decide what I want to do with it, right?”

Rong Yan was speechless. He remained silent and suddenly snarled, ”You should keep the things I give you properly, not give them away to other people!”

Gu Xijiu laughed and said, ”I see. Xiao Wu, return the jade to the Twelfth Prince!”

”Yes, lady!” Xiao Wu quickly took off the jade and put it in front of Rong Yan. ”Only now did I realize that Your Highness did not truly intend to give it to our lady, I shall give it back to you then.”

Rong Yan was shocked and speechless as he did not know how to react to this. He thought he could win the battle, but he dug a grave for himself.

With the influence from his madness, he suddenly got up and said, ”You…!” He could not continue, and he accidentally dropped the precious stone on the floor. It shattered into eight pieces!

Rong Yan could not let out a single word as he looked at the broken stone. Although he was also a prince, he only regained his privileges recently, and he was not as rich as the other princes. This particular treasure was worth at least 1/3 of his total assets, but it was now broken! He was mad and felt a pain of wastefulness.

He wanted to throw a tantrum and leave immediately, but before he did that, Gu Xietian quickly said, ”Sincere apologies, Your Highness. Xijiu is still young; I hope you can forgive her.”

He then scolded his daughter, ”Xijiu! You shouldn’t give the present to other people...”

Gu Xijiu sighed and said, ”I’m sorry. I realize my mistake. I did not like the present, but I’m worried it might be rude to reject it in front of Your Highness. Since Your Highness thinks I have no right to make decisions, I’ll just return everything you gave me.”

She then signaled the attention of her servant, ”Go and retrieve all the presents given to me by the Twelfth Prince over the years.”

Xiao Wu immediately acknowledged and left the hall.

Rong Yan felt awkward and said, ”That is not what I meant.”

Xiao Wu was fast. She returned with a purple box in just a brief moment, ”Lady, here are all the gifts from Your Highness.”

Gu Xijiu opened the box and delivered it to Rong Yan, ”Your Highness, please check and keep it.”

Gu Xietian was upset when he saw the things inside the box!
