Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

That evening, after Mu Anhan returned to Tianqin Residence, she went through the R&D department’s documents.

Gu Xiaozhan was still as busy as ever, returning only late at night.

After hurriedly washing up, he ended up sleeping in the study.

The next morning, at the crack of dawn, he headed out again.

Mu Anhan, on the other hand, slept in a bit later. She got up at eight o’clock, had breakfast, checked on the kids, and then went to the R&D department.

She had her own office, and there was no nameplate on the door. Wang Kangyan had arranged everything, so the other colleagues at the company didn’t know who the newcomer was.

Everyone just felt that Wang Kangyan, the head of the R&D department, was very respectful towards this person, and no one asked much.

Mu Anhan hadn’t worked for two months, and once she dived in, she lost track of time.

It wasn’t until noon when Wang Kangyan reminded her to take a lunch break that she got up to leave.

The afternoon was the same.

She would bring home the materials and her laptop, continuing to work at night.

The girls from the Four Fairies group invited her out, but she wasn’t available for fun.

Xue Xiangtong: [Calling Han Han, what have you been busy with lately? You haven’t been joining us for gatherings.]

Zhang Shishi: [Perhaps Han Han’s taking care of three little babies. With the kids being so young, she must be very busy.]

Miao Feishuang: [Han Han, are you gearing up for a third child with Mr. Gu again?]

They chatted for quite a while but couldn’t get a response from Mu Anhan.

It wasn’t until she finished her task at hand that she checked the messages in the group.

[Girls, I’m working on a project so I’ve been a bit busy. The kids are being cared for by a nanny. I just spend time with them whenever I can. The project has a tight deadline, so I really haven’t had time to go out and play.]

Miao Feishuang: [C’mon, you just gave birth and you’re rushing back to work? Are you short on cash? Want us to raise some for you?]

Xue Xiangtong: [Yeah, Han Han, take some more months to rest! You can’t do this to your body.]

Zhang Shishi: [Han Han, Mr. Gu is around for everything, why are you heading back to work so soon?]

Mu Anhan: [Actually, my issue is one that all working moms face. Don’t worry about me! I’m in great shape and full of energy! Besides, it’s not like I’m working 24/7. You know I’m always lazy, just work a bit here and there.]

Miao Feishuang: [Wow! You don’t have time to hang out, your words contradict each other!]

Mu Anhan thought about it and realized, maybe that’s true!

[Anyway, don’t worry about me, I’m just having fun while working!]

Everyone knew that once she made up her mind, she wouldn’t give up, so they stopped trying to convince her.

Miao Feishuang: [Han Han, you’re working so soon, does your husband not know?]

Mu Anhan: [He’s busy with his stuff, and I’m busy with mine!]

Miao Feishuang: [Tsk! Are you two still haven’t...]

Mu Anhan: [...]

Xue Xiangtong: [Sister Feishuang, what’s that?]

Zhang Shishi: [Sharing a room?]

Xue Xiangtong: [What’s up with Mr. Gu? He used to be all over Han Han, and now he’s so busy he doesn’t have time to share a room? Or is it that men despise women after childbirth and don’t want to?]

Miao Feishuang: [Han Han, are you working so hard because of relationship problems with Mr. Gu, trying to numb yourself with work?]

Mu Anhan: [Don’t let your imagination run wild. We’re doing great! I’m working because I’m genuinely passionate...]
