My Youth Began With Him

“How could you even have that idea? Are you crazy?”

“I’m not crazy… I just think that they’re so annoying. They’ve ruined my plans so many times!” Jian Tong had lost her appetite just by talking about the twins.

On the other hand, Su Yu drove the twins back to South Hill Manor after their meal.

Pudding had intentionally pushed Qin Ning to take shotgun.

Qin Ning felt rather shy about it.

Su Yu dropped them off at their door and left because something suddenly came up for him.

Pudding asked Qin Ning when they got off the car, “Auntie, don’t you think Handsome Su’s a nice guy?”

“Yeah… Sure… I don’t know him that well though.”

“That’s okay. You can slowly get to know him,” Little Bean added.

“Excuse me… I’m here to see you too. You scared me to death. You know that, right? Now, stop joking around with me because I need to go find Mian.”

Qin Ning then walked into the house quickly so she could see Huo Mian.

When Qin Chu came home from work, the whole family was in the living room chatting.

Now that Qin Ning was here, the house felt even more lively. Also, there was Huo Yanyan’s daughter, Tiantian, in their house too.

The twins were quite happy because now they had a new friend to play with.

The next morning, Huo Mian left the house after Qin Chu went to work.

In a prison in the northern outskirts, Huo Mian was going to visit Huo Siyi alone. She had Gao Ran help her figure out the logistics.

“You only have 15 minutes. Use your time wisely,” the prison guard reminded her.

Huo Mian nodded.

Huo Siyi was shaved bald when he was brought into the prison.

He was wearing a set of prison uniforms and looked very haggard.

He looked up and upon seeing Huo Mian, he became surprised since he did not expect to see her.

There was a glass window in between them and the two sat down, each picking up the phone.

“You’re not dead, eh? So did you sacrificed your daughter?” Huo Siyi laughed viciously. He was extremely proud of the bomb he put on them.

“I’m sorry to disappoint you but both I and my daughter are well and alive…”

“That’s impossible.” Huo Siyi did not believe what Huo Mian said. He simply gazed at her.

“Why would I lie to you?”

“You couldn’t have disposed of the bomb in such a short amount of time… One person must have died…”

“I’m probably really lucky because the bomb squad successfully disposed of the bomb… More like, they were able to enter the right password.”

“Who helped you? I don’t believe you!” Huo Siyi was agitated.

“Yes. This has something to do with what I want to clarify with you: Huo Siyi, you said you hate me because I destroyed your family. You need to know though, I am not related to you or your family. I am not Huo Zhenghai’s biological daughter…”

“How is that possible…” Huo Siyi thought Huo Mian was making up a story.

“I don’t care if you believe it or not. I’m just stating the facts here. I went to see Huo Zhenghai before his death but I did not kill him… I don’t know how he died but I did not destroy your family. You view me as an enemy and almost killed me and my daughter. This is your karma… Oh, do you know what happened to your beloved Ruan Qingqing?”

“What happened to Qingqing?” Huo Siyi seemed very anxious.

“You might not know but she used you… She had prepared an escape boat and lied to you about starting a life in a new place. In reality, she was still planning to go back to Vietnam. In my opinion, she and that gang boss of yours’ plotted this scheme for you. They used you for money while you were blinded by revenge. Even if you weren’t caught, you would have been killed when you got back to Vietnam… That woman only used you for money!”

“You’re lying. I don’t believe you! Qingqing isn’t that type of person…” Huo Siyi screamed.

“Prisoner, control yourself!” a prison guard warned.
