Journey to Planar World

Charlie isn’t the type to do things half-heartedly. Once he decides to help, he sees it through to the end, ensuring that all consequences have been properly handled.

Therefore, even though the survivors were already in a safe place, he didn’t rush back to Orario right away.

Charlie sat calmly on a high tree branch at the edge of the village, perfectly camouflaged among the leaves. From there, he observed how the villagers were treating Karen and the others with kindness and warmth, thanks to his large ”donation.”

”If I were to escort them home one by one, it would take days. My reputation might not be as well-known as the executives of the Loki Familia or Freya Familia, but if I disappear from Orario for too long, clever people will start to notice something is off.”

”The information that I can fly like Perseus is not public knowledge, but it’s not impossible to guess. While I don’t really care about the Guild’s punishment, selling drop items and magic stones will become more of a hassle if I have to go through dark channels.”

His gaze fell on the farmers in the distance who were starting to plow their fields.

A morning breeze hit, making his distinctive white hair flutter gently.

”The solution to this problem is to let other adventurers take my place, ensuring these unfortunate people are safely escorted home.”

With that decision, Charlie closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, his Senrigan was active.

His Senrigan scanned the adventurers around Silver Oasis Village.

Adventurers don’t just spend their time in Dungeons. Many of them, especially Low Class Adventurers, earn income by accepting quests issued through the Guild.

Ordinary people submit requests for help—ranging from driving away wild monsters and escorting caravans to searching for lost items—and the Guild acts as an intermediary, matching them with adventurers who need money.

So, it was natural for there to be adventurers who left Orario for this kind of mission. Although the profit wasn’t as great as exploring the Dungeon, the risk of death was also much lower.

But Charlie wouldn’t choose just anyone. With his Senrigan’s ability to see the past, he evaluated the character of those worthy of taking on a mission from him.

His gaze fell on a male adventurer who was escorting a merchant on a trail not far from the village.

”Denied.” Charlie muttered almost immediately. ”This adventurer deliberately chose a longer and more dangerous route to raise the fee for his merchant. He also has a habit of stealing goods from his clients. His character is trash.”

Then, he shifted his gaze. A female adventurer was seen in a heated argument with a farmer over the price of exterminating a wild beast.

”Too greedy and has no empathy. Denied.”

His gaze moved again. A group of three adventurers was resting at a small inn. Looking at their track record, Charlie frowned.

”One of them is an alcoholic who often spends money on booze. The other has a record of often taking an advance payment and then disappearing. The third one... hmm, he once left his teammate in danger to save himself. A bunch of trash. All denied.”

Charlie was very selective. He wasn’t just looking for strength, but also integrity and empathy. He needed someone who could not only complete the mission but would also treat the survivors well and be honest in carrying out their responsibility.

Finally, after rejecting several other candidates, his gaze fell on an older male adventurer who was helping an old grandmother fix her roof without asking for payment. The man’s expression was kind and patient.

”Interesting.” Charlie deepened his sight, delving into this adventurer’s past. ”Once escorted a refugee caravan without asking for full payment because they couldn’t afford it... often helped villagers with small problems... and refused an offer to join a Familia involved in dirty business. His character is good.”

A decision was finally made.

”He’s the one I choose.”

◆━⊰✧⊱━◆

Charlie wasn’t content with just one candidate.

Using his Senrigan, he continued to scan the surrounding area, carefully filtering the ’track record’ of every adventurer he came across.

He looked for those who not only had adequate strength but, more importantly, integrity, compassion, and a trustworthy record of behavior. After a rigorous selection process, he finally gathered ten adventurers who met his criteria.

Once he felt there were no more worthy candidates, Charlie immediately took action.

With Spirit Arts coating his body with wind, his body vanished from the tree branch and shot into the sky.

*WHOOSH!*

His speed reached Mach 15, an insane speed that made him almost like a lightning bolt moving across the sky. Within seconds, he had arrived at the location of the first adventurer he was targeting.

He appeared in front of the adventurer calmly, often surprising his target.

Without beating around the bush, Charlie immediately explained his mission: to escort and safely deliver a group of survivors who had been rescued from the clutches of Evilus back to their respective homes.

To get them to accept the mission, he did not hesitate to offer a huge reward: one million valis per person. For a Low-Level Adventurer, that amount was an almost impossible fortune to accumulate in years of work, even by exploring the Dungeon.

Seeing the fantastic reward and hearing the noble purpose of the mission—plus the charisma and undeniable power that Charlie radiated—all the adventurers he approached agreed to the mission without a doubt.

After getting their consent, Charlie would take the adventurer back to Silver Oasis Village. However, this time, his speed was intentionally limited.

He flew at a speed of only about 200 km/h, still very fast but not endangering the body of the adventurer he was carrying.

Charlie knew that if he flew at supersonic speeds like he did when traveling alone, the air resistance and G-force would destroy a normal human body, even an adventurer who had received the Falna blessing from the gods.

This was also the real reason why he couldn’t personally escort every survivor home at full speed—their weak bodies would not be able to withstand it.

Charlie repeated this process over and over. Flying at high speed to change locations, then slowing down to transport the adventurers he had recruited. Ten round trips were done with perfect efficiency. In a very short time, the ten selected adventurers had gathered on the outskirts of Silver Oasis Village, still a little confused but excited about the mission and the reward that awaited them.

”It’s time to go back to Orario.”

With the team now formed, Charlie could breathe a sigh of relief.

The survivors would now be in the hands of competent and trustworthy escorts. Without saying goodbye to Karen and the others, he left in silence.
