Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

”See?”

”I told you, you need to understand men better.”

”And look at you, you’ve even learned to use deductive reasoning!”

Chu Sheng clapped his two forelegs together in a proper-looking manner, his tone full of encouragement.

Asia paused, stunned.

”But I haven’t even started ordering yet?”

”That’s not important.”

Chu Sheng waved a leg dismissively.

”But let’s get back to the matter at hand.”

”On our way here, we saw at least a thousand people.”

”But there are only a few dozen East Japan Ancient Gods in total.”

”So why would they create so many avatars?”

”Could it be...”

Chu Sheng deliberately drew out his words, not revealing the conclusion immediately.

Asia, as expected, played along. ”For fun?” she asked uncertainly.

”Congratulations, you’ve even learned to buzz in with the answer!!!”

Chu Sheng bounced a few times on the trampoline in her pocket.

”This is just the vile nature of the East Japan Ancient Gods.”

”The fish rots from the head down.”

”Starting with that brother-sister pair, Iyaki and Izanami.”

”And every Ancient God that came after them has a twisted worldview.”

”For their own amusement.”

”They conjure countless avatars, granting them the most basic of souls and independent consciousness.”

”Then they let them run amok here.”

”Meanwhile, the East Japan Ancient Gods hide in the shadows and watch.”

”Deriving pleasure from it all.”

”Treating the pain and pleasure of these avatars as their own personal entertainment.”

Asia nodded in agreement.

”That sort of behavior does sound very much like the East Japan Ancient Gods.”

”But if everyone here is an avatar of the East Japan Ancient Gods...”

”Then we must be unfamiliar faces.”

”But we just waltzed right in, and no one seemed to suspect a thing?”

Chu Sheng pointed to two similar-looking boys not far away who were being overly affectionate with each other and posed a question in return.

”Would you develop special feelings for your own avatar?”

Asia immediately shook her head.

”Of course not.”

”Just the thought of it is disgusting.”

Chu Sheng continued his questioning.

”What if you didn’t know the person sitting across from you was an avatar, just like you?”

”Ah!”

Asia was starting to understand, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on what she understood.

Chu Sheng kept pointing at the two boys and continued his explanation.

”What if, in each of their eyes, the other person appeared to be a peerless beauty?”

Realization dawned on Asia.

”You’re saying their perception has been twisted.”

”They have no idea that they’re just an avatar of some East Japan Ancient God.”

”And they have no idea that the person they’re hitting it off with is an avatar of the very same East Japan Ancient God.”

”So, when they see us, they just assume we’re new avatars.”

”Because their perception is so completely warped, it never even occurs to them to wonder why we’ve appeared here.”

”Exactly right!”

Chu Sheng praised Asia without reservation.

”Your IQ is reaching new heights.”

”If you keep developing at this Speed, it won’t be long before you can complete missions on your own.”

Asia scratched her head, embarrassed.

”It’s nothing...”

She’d barely gotten two words out when she felt that something wasn’t quite right.

’She was here to capture Chu Sheng, take him back to the Amazon Race, and hand him over to Lord Yanoma for judgment.’

’How did this get tangled up with my IQ increasing and completing missions on my own?’

Seeing Asia fall into deep thought, Chu Sheng quickly changed the subject again.

”Alright, we know what’s going on here now.”

”Next, we can take direct action.”

”What kind of action?”

Asia’s attention was instantly diverted, and she stopped overthinking it.

”First, just pick any host.”

Chu Sheng said, pointing to the electronic menu on the table.

”For what?”

Asia scooted deeper into the sofa.

”I’m not doing *that* kind of thing!”

Chu Sheng rolled his eyes.

”Just listen to me. Pick one and you’ll understand.”

”O... Okay.”

Dubiously, Asia picked up the electronic menu and flipped through it again and again with great concentration.

It wasn’t until Chu Sheng had urged her several times that she reluctantly chose a Huang Mao who looked somewhat decent.

A moment later.

A young man with dyed-blond hair and a V-neck shirt walked over with a smile.

He made to sit right next to Asia.

It seemed he wanted to press up against her and then casually lean on her shoulder.

Asia frowned and said in an icy tone, ”Sit across from me.”

In all his time in the business, Huang Mao had never heard such an ”unreasonable” request.

But the customer is always right.

He could only give an awkward laugh and sit down opposite Asia.

”It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a beauty of such high... high quality as you.”

”Is this your first time at our club?”

”What would you like to drink? We just got in a shipment of fine red wine.”

Huang Mao started with a round of compliments, followed by his well-practiced routine.

He wanted to get Asia to order some expensive drinks.

That way, he could get a bigger commission.

Asia didn’t know how to respond.

She could only sit there awkwardly.

She quickly urged Chu Sheng through a mental message.

’What are you going to do? Hurry up.’

’I don’t know what to say to him.’

’In a second,’

Chu Sheng replied.

Then, it silently flew out of the pocket of Asia’s bodice.

Taking advantage of its small size, it hid in the shadows of the sofa.

It silently approached the back of Huang Mao’s neck.

Then it raised its sharp proboscis and quickly plunged it in.

And took a long, hard drink.

[Ding! Absorbed Top-Grade Divine Realm Qi Blood! Qi Blood +500,000. Estimated digestion time: 30 minutes. Upon completion, estimated gain: 50,000 Evolution Points.]

[Ding! Absorbed Top-Grade Divine Realm Soul Power! Soul Power +300,000.]

[Ding! A small amount of the Power of Wood Law has been detected. Absorbing...]

’System, use Evolution Points to digest the Qi Blood immediately!’

[Ding! Digestion complete. 50,000 Evolution Points deducted.]

As Chu Sheng withdrew his proboscis,

the smile on Huang Mao’s face instantly froze.

His gaze turned vacant.

It was as if his very soul had been sucked away.

He sat there, completely motionless.

Like an idiot.

’Just as I thought.’

Chu Sheng had completely confirmed his suspicions.

’These ”avatars” were just filled with a bit of diluted Qi Blood and soul by the East Japan Ancient Gods. Once I suck out all that Qi Blood and soul, their intelligence instantly drops to that of a steamed bun. They become an empty, thoughtless shell.’

Asia quickly noticed that something was wrong with Huang Mao.

’Mosquito, what did you do?’ she asked in a quiet mental message. ’Why is he like this?’

’Not important.’

Chu Sheng flew back into Asia’s hair.

’Now, have the staff get you a new one.’

”Oh... Okay.”

Following Chu Sheng’s instructions, Asia pressed the call bell.

Soon, a staff member walked over.

”Hello, miss.”

”How can I help you?”

Asia pointed at Huang Mao across from her and said with dissatisfaction,

”Get me a new one.”

The staff member glanced at Huang Mao, not a hint of surprise on his face.

It was as if this sort of thing happened all the time.

In truth, it was just that his perception was distorted.

He had no idea that Huang Mao had already become a walking corpse.

”Of course, miss.”

”Please wait a moment.”

After Huang Mao left with the staff member, a second host walked over a short while later.

Chu Sheng pulled the same trick.

Once again, he took a long, hard drink.

And thus, the second steamed bun was born.
