Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 384: Chapter 384: The Helicopter Descending from the Sky

“”Yes, President Jordan.”

Just as Gilbert Jordan put away his phone and prepared to continue the meeting.

At that moment.

A rumbling noise suddenly came from the sky, and he saw a black propeller helicopter descending from the company’s high-altitude…

The commotion was too great.

The other people in the meeting room saw it too, and they all got up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows, staring in amazement and talking about it.

“Where did that helicopter come from, President Jordan, is it your private helicopter?”

Gilbert Jordan frowned, similarly puzzled, “No.”

“Then it’s strange, who’s so extravagant to come here in a helicopter?”

Right then, the helicopter descended to their level, and Gilbert Jordan subconsciously looked inside.

Unexpectedly, he was met with a pair of extremely beautiful yet extremely bloodthirsty eagle eyes!

Those eyes seemed to want to kill him!

His heart skipped a beat.

Gilbert was vaguely aware that something was wrong, and he wanted to take a closer look.

The helicopter continued to descend…

People in the meeting room were still marveling.

In just a few minutes, Gilbert Jordan’s internal phone rang again.

He walked to the side and answered the call, “Hello.”

This time, it was the Security Department calling him directly; the person on the phone spoke to him in panic, “Mr. Jordan, something’s wrong! A helicopter just landed and now those people are rushing into the company! We can’t stop them!”

“What?!” Gilbert Jordan couldn’t help but raise his voice.

Everyone in the meeting room looked over. “What happened, President Jordan?”

“Is there something wrong with the company?”

The people here were mostly the company’s high-level executives or shareholders, and each one was extremely concerned about their own interests.

Gilbert Jordan’s face didn’t look too good, and although he was unsure what was going on, he had to force a smile and try to calm their emotions first, saying, “It’s not the company. Nothing is wrong with the company. Don’t panic. It’s just something I need to take care of. Let’s call the meeting off for now. I’ll go to my office to handle this urgent matter. We’ll continue the meeting later.”

With that, he left without waiting for the people behind him who were calling out to him and gave a brief look to his secretary.

The secretary quickly opened the door to the conference room for him.

Gilbert Jordan hurried out.

Once outside, he picked up his phone again and growled at the person on the other end, “What the hell is going on? Didn’t I tell you to call the police?”

“We did call the police, President Jordan, but they haven’t arrived yet.” The security guard was extremely aggrieved, “They have a lot of people, and we can’t stop them.”

It was the first time Gilbert Jordan had encountered a situation where people forcefully intruded into the company. Even though he was used to having power and influence in Linton City, he was a bit taken aback this time.

Who exactly were these people?

He couldn’t recall offending anyone recently in business.

Even if he accidentally offended someone in his business dealings, who could have such great resources and put on such a huge show? Coming here in a helicopter, with people barging straight into the company and causing trouble?

He was completely baffled and hung up the phone with a sullen expression.

He then took out another phone he normally used, found North Jordan’s phone number, and called him.

After two rings, the call was picked up immediately; the voice on the other end was relaxed and puzzled, “Dad, why did you think of calling me? What’s up?”

“Did you go out and cause trouble for me?” Gilbert Jordan sternly berated him right away.

North Jordan was baffled by his father’s yelling and quickly explained, “I didn’t! What could I have done? What exactly happened?”
