Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

After sighing, that central figure stared at the most powerful Mage on this planet. It was exactly the former Great Elder.

Soon after, his tone became grave and imperious:

”I never left my name recorded, but I am the creator of life on this planet, along with many others. You seem to be the Leader here. I’ll ask only once: your young Mages are educated inside the clan, and are preparing to go to the Divine Plane, correct?”

His voice echoed like thunder across the entire planet.

Every member of the Ylisse clan, without exception, trembled from head to toe.

Seeing the lack of response, that figure waved toward that old man.

Immediately, he felt as if a divine hammer had left his chest.

Managing to breathe and relax slightly, the old man looked at that figure above.

He swallowed hard, then felt pain directly in his soul.

It was the contract seal activating threateningly inside him.

Before that figure, naturally, he wouldn’t dare lie. But... he also couldn’t even hint at the clan’s sponsor.

That pain in his soul made the suppression in his mind ease slightly.

”That... yes... everyone... in a few weeks, we intended to send them.” His voice sounded trembling, and he struggled to say each word. In the end, he didn’t tell a lie.

That figure staring at him attentively was certain he hadn’t lied.

”Good. That’s all.”

He turned to everyone behind him.

They all had exactly the same appearance as him.

”The orders were clear, and we can’t leave anything to chance. I know none of us are into genocide... because our upbringing from Earth never left us. Anyway... check every teleportation inscription on the planet, and go to every place where young people with even the slightest signature of those two bloodlines have been. Search and make sure no one escaped.”

High above, those two dozen figures sighed lightly.

They could feel every inch of that planet.

It wasn’t hard to find all the teleportation inscriptions there. And, using their powers, they could verify the exact location of 100% of the teleports that inscription had ever made. By going to those planets, they could feel everyone’s bloodline.

Of course, they could pursue even deeper through the inscriptions of the other planets. But that would be an infinite and meaningless search. Because of that, they would only go as far as the planet directly connected to the main one.

The reason? The chances that the target was there were extremely high. That was because...

Everyone in that group knew the target very, very well. So well, it should have been impossible.

That central figure snorted heavily, murmuring.

”He’s still young and weak. But he isn’t an idiot... after all, my brothers and I aren’t. Besides, he has a way to hide even from the Sovereigns. We won’t identify him with certainty, even if we search everyone here one by one.”

”Since this place is low-level, he didn’t have many options; so, he should be preparing right here to enter a sect of the Divine Plane in a few days and finally start becoming truly strong.”

”The chances that he’s here on this planet are 90%. As for the remaining 10%, we can only check the inscriptions and hunt down even the slightest suspicion. Now... the easiest way to guarantee his capture...

I have to do this... with my own hands...”

Everyone right behind him snorted, in strange synchronization.

The central one finished. ”Shit, even after so long, I still feel like the same one from the past. Doing this doesn’t please me. But there’s no escaping the orders.”

...

At that moment, inside the clan, on the grass beside the annex.

Flora was lying on the grass, her gaze fixed upward.

Her body trembled uncontrollably. Her eyes were bloodshot, red with pure horror, while her entire soul screamed in silent despair.

It wasn’t only her.

In that same millisecond, everyone on the planet felt exactly the same thing.

It was a snap. A brutal and shared instinct that echoed in the minds of billions of living beings at the same time.

Death.

The absolute end had arrived.

The collective terror was crushing. The worst part was that no one could even move a muscle to try to run.

”Master...”

Flora stammered, the air vanishing from her lungs.

Her eyes shut by force, and tears flowed, heavy and full of unwillingness. She didn’t want to accept this. She didn’t want to die.

But... in the middle of that abyss of despair, a small relief bloomed in her chest.

He wasn’t there.

He would escape all of this.

”I hope... one day...”

**WOOOOOOOSH!**

Suddenly, a merciless flash of light swallowed the planet all at once.

In that same instant, her consciousness and everyone else’s went out.

All lifeforms living there had their lives extinguished in a single breath. It was a complete, overwhelming death, billions together.

The reason behind such an atrocity was a cruel logic that even Priam would understand.

The Sovereigns were facing an unacceptable enigma.

They didn’t know how a mere mortal had managed to escape them before. It was simply impossible for him to have removed the power of all of them together from his body and then disappear as if he had evaporated.

Since the chance that Priam was hidden on that specific planet was enormous, the Sovereigns didn’t want to take risks.

The immortals’ plan was surgical: first, they sealed the place completely upon arrival, blocking any escape route. Then, they killed all lifeforms at once.

To them, this was the safest and most guaranteed method.

Immediately after death, a mortal soul entered a state of extreme weakness. Even if this invader had strange methods and hidden tricks, a weakened soul wouldn’t have the strength to resist: it would be forced to obey the Laws of the World and be taken away.

The power of the Laws of the World was something even the Sovereigns didn’t take lightly.

The first time, Priam had managed to escape because he broke the chains when he was already *inside* the River of Reincarnation, controlled by the power of the laws of the world.

Being carried away by the spiritual current, the Sovereigns couldn’t reach him in time, much less track where he had been reincarnated.

But now it would be different.

By forcing the death of everyone on the planet together, Priam’s weakened soul would be taken to a specific region: a place where souls stayed before entering the River of Reincarnation.

There, reduced to a simple, unprotected soul and without his strange methods to hide, the Sovereigns would be able to identify him with absolute precision among the crowd.

...

What they couldn’t guess was that a teleportation inscription hidden even from their relaxed immortal senses was buried underground beneath the clan.

The moment they hurriedly killed everyone...

Their power also destroyed the clan’s central inscription.

The energies and runes dissolved into the air, erasing every trace of that hidden teleportation inscription.

It was a complete failure. An oversight that happened only because they didn’t want to waste time checking what the ”ants” had in their lands.

They were only mediocre Mages from the Mortal Plane. What could they do?

But... the bloodline of every race existing in this world originated from an immortal like them.

The natural power that all existing bloodlines had, if used correctly... could create strange and unpredictable scenarios even for immortals.

That hidden inscription was exactly that.

It was created using the bloodline of a race from the Divine Plane specialized in concealment.

That concealment escaped even the senses of the immortals. But of course, that was because they weren’t truly searching.

If they had focused deeply on the details...

Priam really wouldn’t have had any chance to escape.

...

The moment all life on the planet was erased.

In another universe.

That was when Orlaith’s emblem received the alert.

All the Elders and important figures of the clan had their lives connected to a very simple device.

In that second, she received the message of the death of 100% of them all at once.
