Rise of The Demon General

Chapter 337: Chapter 337. Xin Lai Palm

”Tai chi fist? What is that?” Li Shi asked when he heard Amon’s comment.

”That is not the name of the art Xin Jingsao uses?” Amon asked.

”No, his art is called the Xin Lai Palm,” Li Shi answered. ”It is another exclusive art from the Temple of Divinity. That art is also classified as low-tier profound art.”

While Amon and Li Shi were conversing, the spar never stopped. When Huang Zen’s fist crashed into Xin Jingsao’s palm, the tai chi symbol on Xin Jingsao’s palm started to spin.

Huang Zen felt like the power of his fist sunk into a bottomless well. He didn’t even feel the impact on his opponent’s palm. Suddenly, he felt a strong sucking force pulling him forward. His arm also got twisted by this force. He lost his balance and stumbled forward. During this vulnerable moment, Xin Jingsao’s other palm landed on his side.

Huang Zen was not worried. He was confident of his body’s defense boosted by the Gold Embodiment. However, his expression soon changed.

Another tai chi symbol emerged when Xin Jingsao landed his palm. It was a mild strike. It didn’t cause a loud clanging like when he hit Huang Zen earlier. The sound caused by the impact was instead a whirring one. This was the sound of the tai chi symbol spinning rapidly.

While there was seemingly no physical effect from the strike, Huang Zen felt differently. He felt as if something rocked his inside. The churning within him intensified rapidly into a chaotic turbulence. He finally couldn’t withstand the pain and uttered a painful yell as he moved away from Xin Jingsao.

He staggered as he struggled to stand straight. Blood trickled from the side of his mouth.

”That’s it! Xin Jingsao wins,” Hua Ling announced. The spar ended unfavorably on their side, but at least the prince didn’t seem to suffer a major wound.

”What a joke! Is this the best Echos can give?” Xin Jingsao mocked.

Huang Zen grimaced. He couldn’t believe Xin Jingsao’s attack bypassed his defense like that. There was no external wound where Xin Jingsao had hit. Yet, his inside felt terrible. The pain hadn’t subsided. He had been wounded internally.

”This doesn’t surprise me,” Xin Jingsao continued his mocking. ”It is common knowledge that the average cultivation speed among the young generations in Echos is below Oredolia. Both of us have the same cultivation level, don’t we? We are both Peak Transformation Stage, but how old are you? No, there is no need to answer. I’ve read your file. You are twenty-nine years old, one year older than me. I bet you’ve only reached the Peak Transformation Stage recently, haven’t you?”

It was indeed so. Huang Zen had only broken through several months ago.

”A prince who is provided resources more than the average people broke through to the Peak Transformation Stage at the age of twenty-nine. Let me tell you that the age of twenty-nine is the average age for the young generation in Oredolia to reach the Peak Transformation Stage. Half the disciples in the Temple of Divinity have the same achievement as you. You are nothing special in Oredolia. As for me, I had reached that stage when I was twenty-seven years old.”

Prince Huang Zen’s face turned savage. It was one thing to lose a spar. It was another thing to lose and be humiliated. The shame and anger he felt surpassed his pain.

”Fuck you! Don’t think you can talk that way to me...!!” He exclaimed. His body shot forward again.

”Stop! The spar has ended!” Hua Ling exclaimed.

However, the prince had become deaf due to his anger. He again barraged Xin Jingsao with a rain of fists.

”Foolish,” Xin Jingsao scoffed.

He spread his two arms while uttering, ”Xin Lai Palm, whirlpool form.” A giant tai chi symbol appeared. Huang Zen felt like he had fallen into a hurricane. He lost control of himself and was swept by an unseen wave.

Xin Jingsao again landed another hit when Huang Zen lost his balance. This time, his palm struck Huang Zen’s chest. Huang Zen staggered back as more blood came out of his mouth.

Xin Jingsao gave no quarter. He advanced when Huang Zen was forced back. His Xin Lai Palm aimed at Huang Zen’s head. This took everyone aback. Did this deacon try to murder the prince in front of everyone?

Hua Ling was about to rush forward to save Huang Zen when she sensed someone had acted first.

Xin Jingsao’s palm, which was about to hit Huang Zen, suddenly deviated when his arm was hit by an invisible thing. This invisible thing turned visible and revealed itself to be a fist. Xin Jingsao sidestepped several times to negate the power of the impact.

He grabbed his lower left arm which was hit by the invisible fist. He grimaced as he endured the pain from that arm. The bones in his arm had probably cracked. He looked at the perpetrator.

Amon stood beside Huang Zen. It was his fist that struck Xin Jingsao before he landed the fatal hit.

”Deacon Jingsao, are you trying to start a war!” Hua Ling exclaimed. She had also come to Huang Zen’s side.

”What are you all panicking about? I just want to scare him a little,” Xin Jingsao said nonchalantly. He tried to appear indifferent so that no one knew he was hurting. ”I’m going to stop my palm before it hits him.”

Hua Ling looked at Huang Zen. His face was pale. The fact that the prince didn’t say anything to rebuke Xin Jingsao showed how bad his condition was.

”Take the prince to the infirmary!” Hua Ling ordered the guards. They immediately came and carried the prince away.

”You have gone out of line, Deacon Jingsao. We will issue an official complaint about this,” Hua Ling threatened.

”Go ahead,” Xin Jingsao replied. He didn’t seem concerned at all.

Hua Ling was vexed, but there was nothing she could do.

Amon turned and walked away, but Xin Jingsao’s voice stopped him. ”Hold it! You think you can just strike me and walk off like that?”
