Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You

Vol. 3 Chapter 14

”Leon... I-I’m so nervous.”

”Don’t be. There’s always a first time for everything. You just have to try, and once you do, it’ll be easier. Be brave and take the first step.”

”But I’m still not confident...”

”It’s okay. I’ll guide you. First, reach out your hand and slowly feel the power surging. Yes, just like that... Do you feel it?”

”I feel it... It’s hot and keeps expanding outward...”

”Mm, see? Even though it’s your first time trying this method, you’re doing great. Keep going, just like that.”

”Leon! Look, is something white coming out?”

”It is! Keep going, Rosvisser! Hold on to it!”

”I... I think I’m losing control, Leon. It’s getting too hot... Maybe we should stop?”

”Ah... Fine. That’s too bad; we were almost there.”

Sitting on the grassy lawn in the garden behind the Silver Dragon Sanctuary, the two sat facing each other, legs crossed.

Rosvisser paused for a moment, easing the burning sensation in her hands, and then looked up at Leon.

”First, thank you for helping me practice gathering the Primordial Force.”

”But next time we practice, can you avoid using such... suggestive language?”

Leon blinked innocently, ”What was suggestive about it?”

”ʼFirst time,ʼ ʼDon’t be nervous,ʼ ʼDon’t stopʼ? Those words sound weird, don’t you think?”

”And your ʼwhite thingʼ and ʼtoo hot to handleʼ weren’t weird?” Leon retorted logically.

”I-I said that because you led the conversation that way!” The Queen retorted just as firmly.

General Leon rolled his eyes. ”Come on, Mother Dragon, it’s not like we’re some innocent, love-struck teens who’ve never dated before. What’s wrong with using some grown-up words? As long as we understand each other, it’s fine.”

”Wait a minute, Cosmod—are you saying you’ve dated before?”

”Huh? Aren’t we dating now?”

”Nope!”

”...Whatever you say.”

Leon exhaled and leaned back, lying down on the soft grass.

A while ago, when Leon met up with his mentor and Rebecca, he had asked his mentor to find some books about Primordial Magic. His mentor agreed.

But Leon and Rosvisser weren’t relying entirely on his mentor, as they knew he wasn’t a walking treasure chest that could pull out whatever they needed from a magical pocket.

So, after they returned, the couple began researching Primordial Magic themselves.

As Rosvisser had mentioned before, Primordial Magic was ancient and mysterious. There wasn’t a single book or document that fully recorded its intricacies.

All they could do was dig up bits and pieces about it from various historical records.

After some time, Rosvisser discovered that the key to using Primordial Magic lay in gathering *Primordial Force*.

Using regular magic would significantly diminish the effects of Primordial Magic.

At first, Rosvisser had no clue how to gather this force.

It wasn’t a matter of talent or diligence because Primordial Magic was something that anyone, no matter who they were, would struggle with at first.

But a few days ago, Rosvisser was surprised to feel a completely different power from regular magic surging within her.

Since then, she had been trying to channel this power out of her body.

Today, with Leon’s guidance, Rosvisser made some progress.

She opened her hand, and a small, white flame of energy flickered and danced in her palm.

”It’s strange, isn’t it? Just a little while ago, I couldn’t sense any Primordial Force, but now, after just a few days, I can actually gather it,” Rosvisser remarked.

Leon, still lying on the grass, gazed at the sky. ”That just proves how good my guidance was.”

Rosvisser huffed, kicking his leg lightly, ”Stop being so full of yourself.”

Leon chuckled and sat up, looking at her bright and beautiful face, ”Then it must be because my wife is so incredibly talented.”

Caught off guard by the compliment, the Queen’s lips curled up in satisfaction, ”Hmph, as long as you know.”

But then she realized something.

Her expression changed as she kicked Leon again, ”Stop trying to get close to me. Who said I’m your wife? You should address me properly as ʼYour Majesty, the Queen.ʼ”

”Yes, yes, Your Majesty, the Queen.”

This dog-man’s tongue had become so much sweeter lately. Who knew what strange medicine he had taken?

Had he finally figured out just how wonderful she was?

Or was he cooking up some evil plan?

Given her knowledge of him, Rosvisser knew he wasn’t the type to suddenly start acting sweet without reason.

There was definitely something fishy going on!

However, the truth was much simpler than what the Queen imagined.

Leon had made a promise to their daughters in the future: that when he returned, he would be more proactive in spending time with Rosvisser.

But now that life had settled back into its routine, he found himself a bit hesitant.

However, General Leon was not a man to go back on his word.

Since he had promised his daughters, he would follow through!

And since being more proactive was a bit challenging, sweet-talking his wife and making her happy seemed like a good alternative.

Women could be tough to please at times, but when they were in a good mood, they were *really* easy to please~

Rosvisser squinted her eyes at Leon, who was off in his own world with a silly grin on his face, and asked,

”You’re definitely up to something, aren’t you?”

Leon snapped back to reality, bewildered, ”What... up to something?”

”You’ve been sweet-talking me lately, saying things you never used to say. Something is definitely off. You’re doing this for a reason, aren’t you?”

”No, not at all.”

Leon said, ”Do you really think I’m that kind of person?”

The Queen thought seriously for a moment, then nodded solemnly, enunciating clearly, ”Yes.”

”...Even though you’ve misunderstood me so deeply, I’m still happy.”

”Why?”

”Because at least I’m still on your mind.”

Now it was Rosvisser’s turn to be at a loss for words.

”Cosmod, I liked you better when you were rebellious and always threatening to chop me into pieces. Could you go back to that?”

Rosvisser sighed, ”If you want something, just say it outright. Don’t fake it with all this sweet talk.”

Because if you keep going, I might actually start to believe it.

”What do you mean ʼfakeʼ? I mean every word,” Leon explained.

”Yeah, right. You’ll only keep it up for a few minutes. Once you get what you want, you’ll stop saying all these things.”

Seeing that Rosvisser still didn’t believe him, Leon became a bit anxious.

”Fine, Mother Dragon. Since you said that—”

Rosvisser raised an eyebrow.

Judging by his tone, it sounded like he wasn’t planning on pretending anymore.

Hmph, I knew I was right, dog-man.

But unexpectedly, Leon continued:

”Then I’ll tell you every day.”

”No, not just every day. I’ll tell you for a year—no, even a year isn’t enough.”

”I’ll tell you for ten years, twenty years, thirty years, and even on the day I’m buried, I’ll still be whispering these sweet nothings to annoy you! Just so you stop underestimating me!”

Looking at his determined face, Rosvisser knew he wasn’t lying.

He really seemed capable of saying these sweet words to her for the rest of his life!

Rosvisser was momentarily stunned. Her silver tail behind her curled slightly.

She quietly clutched her skirt, trying her best to hide the flutter of shyness rising within her.

”You... you think I’d be scared by that? If you dare say it, I’ll dare listen!”

The couple locked eyes, and the air between them seemed to crackle with invisible sparks.

After a few moments, they both turned their heads away.

”Childish man.”

Rosvisser muttered before standing up and dusting off her skirt. ”Let’s go. Time for dinner.”

”What’s for dinner?”

Leon asked as he followed behind her.

”Eggplant stir-fried with carrots.”

”If you really cook that, I swear, Rosvisser, the only thing getting stir-fried tonight won’t be just the carrots.”

”Eat it or leave it. I hate picky eaters.”

”I know. Except me.”

”Shameless!”

The two continued bickering as they walked back to the Silver Dragon Sanctuary.

The setting sun stretched their shadows long, long into the distance.
