“I don’t mean to threaten you. I’m just stating a fact. You’ve been by Old Master’s side for so long. You should know how stubborn he is.”

With that said, Butler Fu placed the cleaned laundry down and simply said, “Goodnight”, and left.

Chu He walked over and picked up the pile of freshly laundered clothes. She furrowed her eyebrows and fell into deep thought.

*******

Yun Shishi’s patience was almost exhausted after a long period of recuperation.

When she was in the mid-stage of her pregnancy, she even cut her hair, as much as she couldn’t bear to part with it.

Mu Yazhe initially did not understand why she had to cut her hair when she was pregnant, but it is said that long hair feeds on the nutrition provided by the body. Furthermore, as her belly gradually enlarged, it became harder to manage her long hair.

Although it was a pity to cut her long tresses, it would grow out again. On the other hand, he could not possibly neglect the little princess!

So no matter how reluctant he was, he had to give in for the sake of this little princess.

Having decided on the haircut, Mu Yazhe did not take her to the salon. Instead, he called for the service to be provided at home. After all, the smell of chemicals in the hair salon was too overpowering!

When the hairdresser arrived, Mu Yazhe opened the door to let her in. When the hairdresser saw his sullen expression, it scared the wits out of her.

During the haircut, Mu Yazhe watched them like a hawk. With every snip, his face would turn darker. Every now and then, he would remark icily, “You’ve taken off too much!”

“Just a little trim will do!”

“I’m warning you not to take off too much!”

…

Even Yun Shishi, who heard these remarks, was frightened and worried for the poor hairdresser.

Having had her hair cut shorter, washing it became much easier.

…

Youyou flipped through the calendar every day and kept making a mark on the dates, feeling that the baby’s due date was too far away. There were still two months to go.

The pregnancy period was rather boring throughout. She had nothing to do on most days, so she would put her hands over her belly and talk to the little guy in it. “Yueyao, oh Yueyao, can you come out quickly?”

When she was five months pregnant, the fetal movements became more obvious.

Once, when Yun Shishi was listening to music on the sofa, she felt the fetal movement and immediately tugged on Mu Yazhe’s sleeve saying, “The little guy is naughty again!”

She complained, “You’re already so restless in my belly, I can’t imagine when you grow up! You’ll definitely be a mischievous kid!”

The man curled his lips into a smile as his gaze fell on her round belly. To his surprise, he saw a movement under her skin, and then the shape of a small claw appeared. It looked like a child’s tiny hand. He couldn’t help being amazed. In the recent months, he had been interacting with the little one, often hugging her belly and talking to his daughter inside. He told her to behave herself and not be naughty.

However, inwardly, he was hoping that his daughter would be mischievous so that he could listen to her movements more. But, this was the first time he had seen such a magical thing happening.

He immediately stretched out his finger and poked at it lightly. The little claw retracted at once, as if it had been frightened by something. After that, it stopped moving!

He had asked the doctor before. In the later stages of pregnancy, the fetal movements would become more obvious. Sometimes, the little girl would even perform somersaults inside.

Of course, the somersault was an exaggerated analogy, but it was a fact that the fetal movements were becoming more and more obvious.

Mu Yazhe sighed inwardly. It turned out that giving birth was such a magical thing!

He was increasingly looking forward to the arrival of this little treasure!
